The sunset was stunning! Those will be pumpkins and sunflowers behind us!

We had such a wonderful time at Eagle Haven, it's as beautiful as the owners!! It's a work in progress with new events, new plantings and new ventures happening. From pumpkins to sunflowers to ciders, Eagle Haven is truly a destination to return to over and over again!! The owners and staff are some of the friendliest folks we've encountered on our travels! We had a flight tasting of the available 5 wines and they were good and unique. We each have our own likes when it comes to wine and I liked all but the blueberry which hubby loved!! We purchased a bottle of the Tempranillo which was lovely! We stayed overnight through Harvest Host and couldn't have asked for a more peaceful evening and gorgeous sunset! We were invited to wander at will and explore the area and boy did we! It's stunning and the sunset was definitely icing on the cake!

Pass the bull pen and vineyard rows to arrive at the quaint red colored tasting room (labeled as such). Open the double doors and the oak finishings announce your true purpose of visiting this farm: get your tasting on! We had a 4 year old and a 5 month baby. NO PROBLEM! Cozy up to the bar and start with 4 whites. It only takes 3 words to describe the flavors distinctly. Then taste the blends where they marry the senses. I was impressed by the White Talon blend and left with a bottle. The crown jewel is the cab. It's $50, but would be $100+ in a restaurant. It can tango with red meat, a nice cigar, or a joint. It doesn't have the buttery complection I look for in my high end cabs, but definely is a bottle I would feel comfortable serving in my restaurant. Our server Tina was amazing and we felt comfortable giving her a hug goodbye as we left. We'll definitely add this stop to our list of places to take out of town visitors. Kudos.

Great wine and fun atmosphere! Huge fan of the blueberry wine. They had someone on stage and everyone had a great time.

Adorable space and lovely people. Legitimately some of the worst wine I've ever had. Just drive down to Woodinville. It's not that far.

I've tried this winery twice. The wines are only mediocre and the service in the tasting room is horrible.

I am so in love with this winery! The blackberry wine is such precious stuff I refuse to share it with my guests.

Highly recommend stopping by if you're looking to relax with a glass of wine or cider, enjoy a chill lunch, and hang with your four legged crew. Pro tip Stella Sopra, one of the best Italian food trucks or Italian food in general we've ever encountered is parked right on the property. Delicious handmade pasta plus good wine equals the kind of afternoon we all deserve. The staff here is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They took their time walking us through all the wines and sharing the stories behind them. We ended up walking away with a bottle of rosé Tempranillo and a beautifully aged 2014 Tempranillo hands down one of the best reds I've had all year. We were honestly shocked in the best way that a flight of four wines plus a full glass for my husband came out to under $20 talk about incredible value for quality pours or maybe were so used to crazy Seattle pricing! There's indoor seating, but if the weather's nice, grab a spot on the patio or in the front area with your dogs and soak in the peaceful vineyard vibes. I could see the patio filling up fast during peak times, but we visited during a slower hour and loved that no one rushed us people were coming and going, and we were free to sip, snack, and stay awhile. I wasn't the biggest fan of the ciders, but their wines were definitely worth the visit. It's a smaller operation, but that's part of the charm. Local, family-run vibes with great energy, great service, and great pours. Support the little guys and bring your dogs!

During our visit we shared a few different bottles of wine, each of us favoring different blends. The White Blend bottle for $24 was a favorite for the couple ladies that preferred sweeter wine. We shared the Beet Salad for $16: Arugula, roasted beets, goat cheese, pickled red onions, pistachios and balsamic vinaigrette. We shared the Baked Brie for $16: Fig & Hazelnuts served with focaccia bread & crackers. We shared the Don't Go Bacon My Heart Pizza for $20: Olive oil, mozzarella blue cheese, pear, bacon, honey drizzle and rosemary. Staff was friendly. Overall, Bertelsen Winery was a great choice for all of us ladies to catch-up over some wine and light lunch. I look forward to attending future events outdoors.
