Out in the country at Tulip Valley Winery.

I swung into Tulip Valley Winery on my last trip to Mount Vernon. This winery also makes cider and that was what I was really looking for. When I went here they just had one of their ciders for sale which was a Harvest Blend kind of cider. I had a sample there and liked it well enough that I got a bottle of it to have at home. The setup here is cute. It has a rustic setting and is out in the country (relatively speaking) and the winery is located in an old and restored barn which gave the experience to me a pleasant quaintness. The service here was good, prompt and very informative about their products. I would like to come back in the future and try some of their wine options.

Perfect spot for a weekend date. Yummy food and excellent service. The tasting was superb!

We went here years ago, and were pretty underwhelmed, but we are looking for venues for our wine-tasting club, so we gave it another try. Nice farmstead vibe with the red barn and surrounded by orchards. The person behind the counter was super-friendly, but I knew we were in trouble when I asked what AVA the grapes were from, and she gave us a very confused look. She knows they come from Washington. I tried three reds, and, sadly, didn't even finish my tastes. My wife had the Chardonnay, a Rose' and a Rose' Cider. The Rose' was actually not bad. Everyone has different taste buds, and you may enjoy these wines, we sure wish we did.

Lucky for us we stopped a while at this lovely spot. Weather in the low 70's, not a cloud in the sky, outside tables for safe social distancing. $5 for four tastes, waived with bottle purchase. You can mix and match ciders and wines (reds and whites) if you like. 500 ml bottles of cider from $8 and wines from $18, something for everyone. Friendly and knowledgeable, family run business.

Went to Tulip valley for Mother's Day, it was the perfect choice. I was really impressed with the grounds and the service. The food truck was INCREDIBLE. Great flight and tasting options. Great for a little added exploring day in the skagit valley

This was a wonderful experience on a blustery Saturday afternoon. We had already had a nice experience at a nearby brewery so we had to give equal time to a local winery. Glad we did because the wines were very good. Generous pours that were $5 for 4. Pinot Grigio. Riesling Syrah. 2014 Tempranillo. All extremely enjoyable. Shanna was wonderful to chat with and the tasting room had a nice vibe. What brings the ratings down are reviews that are 11 years old and they are outdated. Things change along with service and quality.

Cute little winery on the way to the tulip festival. They offer some cute wine accessories- coasters, kitchen towels, magnets, fudge made with their own cider (delicious- tastes like apple pie). We did the wine flight, which was $5 for 5 tastes, your choice. Tons of options- rose, lots of whites, reds and two ciders. If you buy a bottle, you get a wine flight comped. We ended up going home with some fudge and a bottle of there Burro Loco cider. We were the only people there when we went, but it could get crowded if there were more than 10 people in there. There is a nice deck outside as well. Definitely a cute place to stop by and enjoy some local libations.

    Great wine (in a barn)!

Tulip Valley Vineyard is a great place to stop on a lovely spring day on your way to (or from) the tulip festival (or when just taking a road trip to Skagit County). For $5 you get a generous tasting of five wines of your choice - and they have several to choose from. My favorite is their riesling and their viogner. They also had reds to choose from if you're a fan. The service is friendly and helpful, and their prices (most bottles $15 or less) are quite reasonable. The setting in an old converted barn also adds to the charm of this place. You could easily bring a picnic to enjoy the setting to its fullest. Cute jewelry and gifts for the wine afficionado too!

They are open inconsistently. I think it helps a business for people to be able to plan their visits.

We loved the Tempranillo red and rose, as well as the rose cider, and can't wait until the rose perry arrives.

People play Frisbee and cornhole, or just chill on the Adirondack chairs. On chillier days or if staying for the evening, bring a blanket, a poncho or a coat. There are multiple vendors that sell food (pizza, vegan ice cream and such), though they do not operate every week-day. There's a drinking room inside, which is also where people congregate in the winter. They've got a large variety of their ciders on tap accompanied by helpful descriptions. The bartenders are friendly and will steer you right if you need help making a selection. There's flights and glass pours. The flights are fun - I highly recommend doing it! My friends and I, we do a flight per two people, and then we each order a glass (or two) of our favorites. During cold winter, they also sell hot cider (not-alcoholic), which you can have spiked with apple spirit. On week-end nights, there's often live music playing in the early evening in the big tent / dining hall. It's open air, so bring a blanket or a coat

It is a stark contrast from the consumerist drudgery, hyper-stimulation, and quotidian violence of the modern U.S. market-scape which has metastasized like a bad rash over the land. An alternative way of relating to strangers and community members alike, around long wooden tables, listening to local folk performers stirs up a sense of communality from long-ago genetic and cultural memories. Eating good food, and drinking from a curated collection of ciders each infused and brewed slightly differently makes you feel "rich" in the true sense of humanity and wellbeing. I recommend this unusual vision of communal gathering -- where you can wander between wooden beam-constructed huts in which various food vendors are selling specialty items, then gather to sit down and eat in a large tent. Here you can also enjoy open farm vistas, and explore some planted rows. There is whimsical art festooned around the collection of low-slung huts. The ground is not paved so you can feel as if you are in touch with the earth. My food choice was a bahn mi sandwich which was excellently executed with toasted bread, both tasty and filling. It used a tempeh made with wheat grown in Chimacum itself. It had beautifully pickled daikon, carrots, and cilantro while the mayo was warming. Missing jalapenos were compensated for with chili sauces that you could custom add. I washed this down with a small six ounce glass of a mix of ciders because I couldn't decide my favorite flavors (strawberry infused cider was my jam that day). Be aware that food vendors will be different depending on the day of your visit. I feel that the care & finesse with which the bahn mi was executed is an indication of the high caliber of curated, prepared food available for purchase at this "farm" experience. Get back to the land and lower your blood pressure at Finn River Farm and Cidery!

The tasting room has a pleasant wooded and sleek look to it but the main draw are all the magnificent views you get here at the taproom. So definitely don't be in a rush when you come here and admire that view from the windows of the water! The cider is equally great! I had the Hi Boy Dry which was a dry cider... as the name implies and it was perfection!
