They also offer little snack plates (my fave is their charcuterie plate) - it's all very affordable, relaxed, and fun.

I love the concept in general, but I doubt I will do this again. I paid extra for the VIP package,…read morewhich included snacks, but I was disappointed in them (little packaged things that weren't very interesting), and I didn't think it worth the extra price at all. I was early and hit up Banner Bank first--they had an amazing spread that was very generous of them (and that was rare to find). But my first vintner gave me what was a swallow--which I first thought meant he wanted to see if I liked the wine sufficiently to pour me a reasonable taster. Nope! I was relieved to find others were more generous, but I can't say I had $25 worth of wine that night. Also, being first-up was easy, then as time went on, long lines in a crush of people. One thing I did like was getting to see some shops downtown that I wasn't aware of. Some people might really love the whole experience--but, for someone like me, I'd rather just wander around freely and try different places on my own little wine jaunt. I would love to offer suggestions for making it a better experience, but I don't know...needs for what it is kind of dictate what it pretty much has to be, maybe...

The Downtown Wine Walk is an annual event and fundraiser for Downtown Bellingham. It features…read moremultiple shops, galleries, and restaurants teaming up with various local and regional wineries to offer tastes of dozens of varietals. For an admission fee (this year it was $25) participants are given a souvenir glass to take to various locations and get a pour of their fave red, white, rose, or sparkling wine. It's a fantastic chance to stroll the streets of downtown with friends, experience some new businesses, and (of course!) enjoy tasty wine. This year was my first year participating and I had such a great time! I even found a bunch of businesses I hadn't ever visited, and ended up buying a few bottles of the featured wines (they are all available for sale at Vinostrology for easy one-stop post-event shopping). The event does get quite busy and doesn't last long, and lines were VERY long by the time it got going, so word to the wise: start early!

On board the Sunday dinner cruise from Laconner to Deception Pass this past Sunday was one of the…read moremost pleasurable experiences I've had on any excursion in this area. The food was great, the crew fun and informative, the vessel was clean and ran beautifully. I highly recommend this experience.

Very friendly service and great naturalist- Emily. We took the five hour whale watching cruise…read morewhere they guarantee whale sightings or 50% off your next booking with them. We approached Emily to find out some details about the educational items she had available for viewing. The lunch was buffet style- two types of lasagna, biscuits, honey butter, Caesar salad, red grapes and cookies. It was very tasty. The scenery was gorgeous and it was a nice sunny day. Unfortunately the whales and orcas were playing any and we didn't see any during the entire cruise- we did see a harbour seal when leaving port, a quick glimpse of a harbor porpoise for a split second, harbor seals on rocks from a far distance and two sea lions on a red buoy... so we got cards to book at 50% discount for a future booking with the company. We also got 10% off coupons for the fish and chips place and gift shop inside the Bellingham cruise terminal. There were two bathrooms on board. I have to say if you're looking for an intimate experience with a handful of people this is not the cruise for you. We had a Thursday cruise that had about 60 people on board and felt like there were a lot of people... I was told the boat could have up to 120 passengers in which case it would have been absolutely jammed with people. I was glad we only had the number on board that we had. All in all it was a lovely day on board- you cannot dictate nature and they held up their promise if we didn't see whales. They also had some binoculars available if you gave them collateral- I had a set for the entire cruise.
