Wine tasting
Sarah P.

We stopped in for a little wine tasting on our anniversary trip and loved the experience. We had never been tasting before but they were so kind and helped us in our journey through the menu. The wines were varied and amazing--lots to try and everything was delicious. It was hard to choose what to take home. The staff was eccentric and fun, we greatly enjoyed our experience.

Great tasting room with a big table for groups or smaller tables for a few people. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They have a beautiful outside bar area to enjoy the nice weather or the Sunday summer music. Lots of variety of wine. There is something for everyone from sweet to bold.

Great place to enjoy a glass of wine and a snack after a hectic day of tiptoeing through the tulips.read more

They have a great, inexpensive and unpretentious wine list with plenty by the glass. We split a glass of rose and it was lovely! The food was just okay. They bragged about having large portions but our $18 cheese plate was a small snack for sure. It also said it came with fruit and chocolate and they only brought out the cheese, crackers, and nuts. Not sure if they were out, we didn't have enough time to talk to our server to figure this out. The servers were all in a huge hurry and missed a lot. I know they were busy and don't completely blame them, but it was definitely amiss. They asked if we wanted more wine and we said no, so they cleared our food quickly even though we were still eating. They also put a reserved sign on our table while we were still there (we only stayed maybe 25-30 min) and told us that someone else wanted our table. It was kind of rude and we felt super rushed by the servers. We really felt like we were being hurried out and didn't get the full experience. They also took our water glasses and dumped them on the ground next to us while we were still sitting and before we were done. They could not have been more blatant about wanting us to go even though we weren't there long. I would probably revisit on a slower day to see if things improved, but the service wasn't great.

Highly recommend stopping by if you're looking to relax with a glass of wine or cider, enjoy a chill lunch, and hang with your four legged crew. Pro tip Stella Sopra, one of the best Italian food trucks or Italian food in general we've ever encountered is parked right on the property. Delicious handmade pasta plus good wine equals the kind of afternoon we all deserve. The staff here is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They took their time walking us through all the wines and sharing the stories behind them. We ended up walking away with a bottle of rosé Tempranillo and a beautifully aged 2014 Tempranillo hands down one of the best reds I've had all year. We were honestly shocked in the best way that a flight of four wines plus a full glass for my husband came out to under $20 talk about incredible value for quality pours or maybe were so used to crazy Seattle pricing! There's indoor seating, but if the weather's nice, grab a spot on the patio or in the front area with your dogs and soak in the peaceful vineyard vibes. I could see the patio filling up fast during peak times, but we visited during a slower hour and loved that no one rushed us people were coming and going, and we were free to sip, snack, and stay awhile. I wasn't the biggest fan of the ciders, but their wines were definitely worth the visit. It's a smaller operation, but that's part of the charm. Local, family-run vibes with great energy, great service, and great pours. Support the little guys and bring your dogs!

Equipped with a Bluetooth speaker to complete the mood! Service was friendly as they were still working out details of this new feature. There were a couple times when we needed more wine or wanted to order more food and there were longer checkin gaps. With the reservation time being limited, we hoped for more frequent checkins. Overall fun time, wish we could've stayed a bit longer but moved our party into the tasting room after. Fun way to pass a winter afternoon!

Wine can be purchased by the glass or the bottle. Water is self-serve at the counter. Food items are light, ranging from cheese starters, salads and pizzas. During our visit we shared a few different bottles of wine, each of us favoring different blends. The White Blend bottle for $24 was a favorite for the couple ladies that preferred sweeter wine. We shared the Beet Salad for $16: Arugula, roasted beets, goat cheese, pickled red onions, pistachios and balsamic vinaigrette. We shared the Baked Brie for $16: Fig & Hazelnuts served with focaccia bread & crackers. We shared the Don't Go Bacon My Heart Pizza for $20: Olive oil, mozzarella blue cheese, pear, bacon, honey drizzle and rosemary. Staff was friendly. Overall, Bertelsen Winery was a great choice for all of us ladies to catch-up over some wine and light lunch. I look forward to attending future events outdoors.
