A seemingly impossible task for someone who has never hung a TV before and doesn't understand the mechanics of it. Add to that, poor eyesight, and it's better just to get someone else to do it for you. I did a search on Yelp and started a conversation with three companies. Texas Media Experts was the first to respond (at 11:30 at night!). One of the other businesses had no ratings on Yelp so I deleted that one, and the third one wanted to send out two guys and charge me $200 (they took almost 24 hours to respond). Between text messaging and the conversation on Yelp, they managed to schedule me in today, and they sent out one (cute) guy and only charged me $120. He helped me plug my TV back in, removed a TV and a mount from the wall in another bedroom, and also showed me how to plug in my VCR. I would recommend them to anyone in the New Braunfels area.

They steered me in the right direction. Did a fantastic job installing my projector and two additional sets of speakers as well as rewiring speakers that were incorrectly wired by the previous owner. The cleaned up the workspace afterwards and organized the area. I also sourced some components from them, and they didn't try to upsell anything. They gave me what I wanted and ensured my system was "right-sized" rather than overloading my room with equipment I could not take advantage of. Friendly service. Highly recommend.

Paid over $1000 for work and the most important element A/V was not complete. Calibrated apparently my record player but guess what it isn't working, receiver set up but hey guess what also not working. I would not recommend these guys at all. Aggressive on the text messages, horrible customer service and their bookkeepers are rude. Go elsewhere and stay away from this fake AV installer.

Do you like wasting your time and resources? Do you like being deceived on more than one occasion?…read moreDo you like being screwed in the LEAST pleasurable way possible?!?!?! Oh man, have I got a company for you. My partner scheduled an installation for a home theatre. They sent over a "tech" whose job title should really be "wreck" because that's what they did to the wall and projector screen. It was already alarming when my partner noticed they arrived without the proper tools, but the REAL shock was that they arrived without the proper skills. Result: the screen immediately fell off after being "mounted" and ended up damaging the frame and wall in the process. The owner was supposed to arrive after the tech to inspect/finish the job, but he never showed. On top of not knowing how to train his employees, he doesn't know how to use a phone! At least, I have to assume that seeing as he ignored all calls and texts regarding the incident. But alas, my partner is a masochist, and when he was contacted THE NEXT DAY with a fake apology from the owner and a promise to come back and fix it- he agreed. That was his second mistake. The first was hiring this company in the first place. Now, I'm going to tell you a bit of a spoiler to this story: the owner never showed...AGAIN. Oh, I'm sorry, he had the grace to call 2 hours before the appointment and cancel. Don't even think about hiring HomeWRECK Installations. You'll be left in a worse place than when you started. Btw, still don't have a screen up (just a scuffed wall to look at and a sad, damaged screen propped against it). Now THIS should be a movie.

Immediately after signing the contract (and I mean literally, *immediately* after) there was a dramatic switch. We were locked in and they knew it. Caveat emptor. The three years of coverage was periodically marked by technical issues that were a pain to coordinate and resolve. Our outdoor storage shed got burgled a couple of times and interacting with True Protection I just remember having the sense that they did not GAF, to be blunt. The alarm system, and monitoring was a nuisance and source of stress. You will be better served with a DIY solution from Best Buy that does not rely on locking yourself in to these contracts. It is incredibly rare for me to bother giving a negative review. I try to review small businesses I interact with who do great work. When I saw the email soliciting reviews in my inbox, I was kinda shocked. Looking at all the glowing reviews, I found myself agreeing with another reviewer who thought this was deluged with friends and family pumping the numbers. It's just hard for me to imagine a company that consistently delivered such a poor customer experience for multiple years could have these glowing reviews. I I will say it again: prior to signing the contract they are amazing. After you sign it is all downhill. Beware.
