Immediately after signing the contract (and I mean literally, *immediately* after) there was a dramatic switch. We were locked in and they knew it. Caveat emptor. The three years of coverage was periodically marked by technical issues that were a pain to coordinate and resolve. Our outdoor storage shed got burgled a couple of times and interacting with True Protection I just remember having the sense that they did not GAF, to be blunt. The alarm system, and monitoring was a nuisance and source of stress. You will be better served with a DIY solution from Best Buy that does not rely on locking yourself in to these contracts. It is incredibly rare for me to bother giving a negative review. I try to review small businesses I interact with who do great work. When I saw the email soliciting reviews in my inbox, I was kinda shocked. Looking at all the glowing reviews, I found myself agreeing with another reviewer who thought this was deluged with friends and family pumping the numbers. It's just hard for me to imagine a company that consistently delivered such a poor customer experience for multiple years could have these glowing reviews. I I will say it again: prior to signing the contract they are amazing. After you sign it is all downhill. Beware.

Install home networking utilizing Ubiquiti equipment (WAPs, Network Switches) 3. Flush Mount TVs in multiple rooms 4. Install security system utilizing exiting pre-wire 5. Install floodlight 6. Install smoke detectors (Nest) Matt's team was great! Everything was installed perfectly and the team spent time to make sure everything was working as we liked. We did encounter some issues, however, Matt had his team work with us to correct them as we encountered them (i.e. faulty pre-wire causing false-positives on the alarm). I was told there was live monitoring like simplisafe offers - lies. I was told there was US based service - no, it's the Philippines. I was told their cameras had AI detection to alert specifically for people and then alert with special messaging and lights if a person was detected - no, not a real thing. I was told if I had any issues at all I could have a service tech out right away to fix it - no, they will have you on the phone for 4 hours doing all this handyman and tech stuff yourself the still not be able to fix the issue and then they can't get a live tech to you for a week or more. The amount of money I pay for this service is RIDICULOUS for the lack of quality I get. I HATE VIVINT.
