Went for Mother's Day lunch. Sat right away with a reservation. Staff were courteous and friendly. Food came out fast. Although delicious there was more batter than fish. For $38 there should be more fish. Dumplings were solid and tan tan noodle was yummy.

It was late when we arrived San Francisco, we had reservations for this place at 9pm. They couldn't find it, and my friend couldn't find the email that had her confirmation.. There were 5 people before us, but the young man still accommodated us. Amber took care of us, the place was cute, had a modern chinese decor. The main part was the food was amazing, tasty and very flavorful. I would totally come back to this place.

Stopped by on a whim, not a regret to be shared! This place was great on overall vibe, decor and quality of food. I had deadass the best cucumber salad I've ever had in my life there. Was very refreshing and had a unique and perfect flavor. Our other dishes were great as well.

My goodness! What an experience!! If you have a big group, I would recommend trying to make a resy or at least put your name on waitlist or something as it is a small-ish place and went on a Tuesday night and t was already filling up. Honestly, someone in your group must get the crab lo mein - ten presentation is amazing and it tastes great and unique. Lovely intimate ambiance with good lighting.

We walked in on a Saturday night and staff were able to accommodate our group of 7. The restaurant is very ornate and has a fun atmosphere. We ordered shrimp dumplings as well as pork and both were delicious. Other standouts were the house chow mein and honey walnut prawns. All perfectly flavorful, crispy and delicious. We also got the picture perfect crab lomein, which was good, but not one of my favorites compared to the other fabulous dishes. In addition to the flavors, the presentation of the dishes were top notch and fun for sharing. There are a lot of options in china town, but this was a really impressive experience. All of us really enjoyed the meal!

Wow! The cucumber salad is really good and the spicy wontons were great! The xiao long bao was good but the portion size was absolutely huge! Great hustle and bustle vibe in the restaurant with lovely service!

Came here for lunar new year and was pleasantly surprised by the food. While it was my first time coming here, my friends had been here before so we got all the dishes that they enjoyed from the previous trip. Highlights included the crispy garlic Chilean sea bass, mapo tofu, honey walnut prawns, and tea smoked duck Mid-tier were the chicken w/ explosive chili pepper (could have been crispier), spicy wontons w/ chili oil, and shrimp pork chive dumpling. Only thing I was truly disappointed by was the crab meat lomein (thought the noodles were mushy and taste eggy). Get a resy beforehand because the drop in wait time seemed quite long.

It was a good experience and the food was alright. The services was a little chaotic. The decore was cool, kind of brought you back a few centuries. We had the Black truffle wagyu XLB and honestly, we didn't taste the truffle and it tasted like the regular XLB. We actually tasted more truffle in the green beans and cauliflower with truffle salt. Their regular XLB was not as juicy as I'm used to. And yher was no dipping sauce. Im sure we could have asked for it but, they seem quite busy. I read the reviews and stayed away from the items that were tourist traps, like the crab lo mien. We did see one person order it and it didn't look like anything special. The Guilin noodle soup was probably my favorite. Soup was seasoned well, and the noodles cooked perfectly. The portion was good, as well. I did like the neat tea service that they provided.

This is what our family of 6 ordered. The food was pretty decent as far as taste. The pan fried bao could use a bit of work. The dough was not soft and was cracking on top. The xlb was tasty but not overly seasoned, you can taste the pork broth. The dough to the xlb was perfect, did not fall or break apart. $16 for 6 xlbs is pretty steep especially in Chinatown. I would probably skip the special sautéed duck with pancake, small portion and nothing special. Service was good. Restaurant was half crowded and a good mix of diversity in people. This place was honestly a really pleasant surprise -- the kind of spot that makes you want to come back and try more of the menu. The pan-fried soup buns were an instant highlight. The bottoms were perfectly golden and crispy, while the tops stayed soft and fluffy. One bite and the broth just bursts out -- rich, flavorful, but not greasy at all. You can tell there's real attention to detail. The dumplings were more on the classic side, but done really well. Thin yet slightly chewy wrappers with juicy, well-seasoned filling. The flavors felt clean and balanced, without being overly heavy. The cumin lamb chops were definitely one of the stars of the night. Super aromatic as soon as they hit the table -- that cumin fragrance really pulls you in. Nicely charred on the outside, tender and juicy inside, and most importantly, no gamey taste. The pan-seared cod brought a completely different vibe -- light, delicate, and refined. Crispy on the outside, buttery and flaky on the inside. Simple but very well executed. Overall, they do a great job blending Chinese comfort dishes with a more modern, slightly fusion-style presentation. Consistent quality, visually appealing plating, and a great spot for a casual but elevated meal with friends. Definitely coming back

Chinese spot with fun food presentation. The best thing I ate here was the honey walnut prawns. The prawns were huge, juicy & crispy. The crab meat lomein was very salty, and the tan tan noodles tasted a little watered down. The pork soup dumplings (XLB) and the pan-fried pork soup bao were okay - the filling in both was a bit bland. Service was friendly and relatively fast. There were clean bathrooms downstairs.

Everything is very salty. The service does not take care of customers. I waited a long time, and no one looked at my table until I asked. I saw some pictures they took that looked great. But when I took a picture, she did not ask me. She just put the chopsticks down and cut the noodles. Another girl forgot my order. When I asked again, she looked at me like she didn't want to serve me. When I paid by card and chose no tip, I said I would tip in cash. However, she asked me again while I was still talking with my friend, even before I left. She then brought the receipt and told me to choose a tip option again. I'm not happy with the service here, and the food was not good.

Another restaurant gem to visit when in Chinatown! They are known for soup dumplings and their presentations. I was craving soup dumplings so i decided to give them a try. The waitress was nice and efficient; was helpful in suggesting what food to try as well. We went with chicken chow mein, Pork Xiao Long Bao and pork soup dumplings. Chicken chow mein was very tasty; noodles were thick and cooked well, seasoning was very good too not too salty. A generous protion served as well. 5/5 Pork Xiao Long Bao (3) so delicious, soft and fluffy texture of the bun; the inside had the meat seasoned well and a tad bit spicy. 5/5 Pork Soup dumplings were amazing as well, super tasty, broth was rich and savory as well. 5/5 My mother and I had a great experience overall.

I also loved the stir fried rice cakes, which were sliced thin enough to avoid that overly chewy texture, and the stir fried noodles Shanghai style were classic and simple in the best way, with big chunks of cabbage and meat and just executed really (the chefs clearly have some serious wok skills!). Not everything we ordered was an absolute knockout as the vegetable dishes could use a bit more flavor and seasoning, but everything overall was good, and the portions across the board were very generous. The desserts were a last-minute decision and I am so glad we went for them. The lava custard buns were fluffy and amazing, with a molten salted egg custard inside, and the sesame balls had a satisfyingly crispy exterior that gave way to a perfectly chewy interior and sweet red bean filling. The value here is also excellent. We left absolutely stuffed and spent around $30 per person, which felt like a great deal for how much food we got and how much we enjoyed it. Highly recommend!

The buns come out beautifully presented and taste even better: the bun itself is just slightly sweet and that sweetness adds an amazing dimension to the chopped fresh vegetables inside. Can't tell you what any of these veggies are individually and I don't care, they are so good. Next came the sautéed string beans and the sear on the beans themselves was perfect and smoky and delicious. The crispness of the sautee makes the string beans a lovely pairing with the soft yummy of the steamed buns. Last came the sesame balls as a sweet meal ending. I love donuts and fresh-made sesame balls are similar to a donut hole just with a filling that is actually food and so sweetly tasty. The outer fry was crisp and the insides absolutely perfect. It's full of shrimp with a slightly thicker skin, which I think adds a nice chewiness. The veggie egg rolls were okay. I personally wouldn't order those, even if I was craving them. The spare ribs had a really nice savory flavor from the sauce. The egg tarts were okay. I need to note that these bags are leftovers from the day, so they're not as fresh. But they held up the next day so I was able to stretch 2 meals out of them. I can't comment on service since these bags are only for pick up. But they quickly provide the bags once the window open. And it's a small space, with maybe 2 tables. So this place is probably best for to-go orders. Their 2g2g bags have more variety than their Chinatown location. Not sure how many dim sum options there are in the Mission, but I would go here if I was in the area and craving a shrimp and chive dumpling.
