Be careful with this company. They don't provide clear pricing upfront and only tell you the cost after the work is done. During a simple AC check-up, the technician added freon without clearly explaining whether it was necessary. I live in a new house and had no issues with my system. But he said I was low, might be a leak. I didn't go with looking for leak (as he suggested) as it felt silly, as my house is only couple of years old. And none of the neighbors had a problem with freon leak. I ended up paying around $500 for something I'm not sure I even needed. Overall, the experience felt pushy and not transparent. Wow, I am impressed. I usually get disappointed and frustrated when I deal with home-improvement contractors. A lot of companies claim that they are customer-focused and yet most of them can barely respect an appointment on time, respond to your emails/calls in a timely manner, or give you accurate information. With FUSE, it is the first time that I have dealt with a company that delivers on all aspects from the beginning to the end of my project, and beyond. I would definitely use them again. FUSE is a very organized company with different people responsible for different tasks. They are all well coordinated and all of them have been terrific for my project. I hired them in September 2025 for my HVAC project: replace my gas furnace with a highly efficient air-air Heap Pump and redesign/replace the ducting system for my main house, as well as add a 2nd Heat Pump with a ductless mini-split for a small ADU. - Front-end. Russel was the advisor, who first visited my house to estimate the work. He answered all my questions, both on site and many times via email & SMS after his visit. He promptly updated my quote several times as I requested changes and additions, including some extra unrelated tasks. He also added the advertised discounts and the rebates I could qualify for (which many other vendors could not clearly identify). My very positive experience with Russel is ultimately the main reason I proceeded with FUSE. - On-site work. Eugene was the lead technician and was helped by 2 other team members. The work was completed with high quality and on-schedule. Eugene kept me informed on their progress and involved me a few times when unexpected issues raised and a customer decision was needed. Eugene was competent, friendly and gained my trust. Even after the work was completed, he stayed responsive when I reached out to him as I faced an electrical problem a few days later. He visited back my house on the very same day with one of FUSE electrician, who identified the HVAC work did not cause it and still ended up addressing the unrelated issue in the panel (turned out to be trivial). - Handy man. In order to patch and paint the holes that were needed for the project, FUSE sent a handy man. Norah from FUSE did the scheduling and kept me informed of possible time change; FUSE also communicated accurately all the work that needed to be done by the handy man. Even though Eduard the handy man was sub-contracted and not a FUSE employee, he delivered a very high quality work as well and it was another very positive experience. Only possible improvement was that FUSE could not schedule this sooner (I had to wait 3 weeks after main work was completed). - Permit. The permit department coordinated with me to schedule the city inspection. They also promptly responded when I needed additional permit paperwork to submit my SVCE rebate application. On the day of the inspection, Alex was the FUSE employee that called me to ensure I would be home at the scheduled time. He showed up before the city inspector to verify everything was correct and guided the inspector, who congratulated him on the high quality work FUSE did. As I was chatting with Alex, I mentioned that some minor adjustment could be done with the dampers. Before the day was over, Norah reached out to let me know she will be working on scheduling of a technician for that. That's what I call being coordinated and following through! - Rebates. Maria was the rebates coordinator. She, too, was very responsive and properly submitted the Tech Clean rebate on my behalf. She correctly set time expectation with me and sent me the check promptly once she received it. The FUSE support team also promptly send me the additional invoice break-down I needed for the SVCE rebate. It was great to see how FUSE was supporting me in getting the rebate I could qualify for. Over all, I am extremely satisfied of the experience I received from FUSE and I highly recommend them. Earlier in the morning, Antonio messaged me stating that there was nothing wrong with the damaged wire near the weatherhead. However, during the video call I had to explain the situation in detail before he understood what the actual issue was. I want to clarify that I did not reach out to find ways to spend money unnecessarily. PG&E has asked that the issue be addressed, which is why I contacted your company. Despite this, Antonio repeatedly stated that there was no problem, including during the video call, which made the interaction confusing and unproductive. When the discussion moved to the panel upgrade, the only information provided was that the job could be done for $X. There was no explanation of what the estimate included, what the process would look like, or what potential factors could affect the work. For a homeowner who does not have technical knowledge in this area, simply being told a price without any context is not helpful. I had to proactively ask about several important factors myself, such as the possibility of panel relocation, the proximity of the AC unit, and whether PG&E engineering design or review might be required. These are basic considerations that should normally be explained to a customer when discussing a panel upgrade. Overall, the call lacked clear communication and useful guidance. The estimating engineer, Russell N., was extremely patient and took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly--without any pressure to sign a contract. The project manager, William, then came by to review the installation details in advance, which we really appreciated. The company also sent Ben B. to install a new water heater vent in a timely manner so we could continue to have hot water, since the old vent had been removed during asbestos abatement. The installation team, led by Henry P. and Dem T. (apologies, I don't remember the other two team members' names), was polite, attentive, and professional. They addressed our concerns willingly and handled the installation with great care. Henry especially went above and beyond by staying late and making an additional visit to ensure everything was in good working order. I can be pretty lazy about reviews but I'm writing this mainly due to the superb work by Vlad and his helper (unfortunately did not catch his name). They were here for two days and "we" ran into some hiccups. Most notably, on the first day after the gas was turned off, the pilot light on the water heater was out. I called at ~9:30pm and asked what to do, I wasn't sure if the gas was off completely or not. Vlad called back in less than 5 minutes, told me the issue and offered to help walk me through it. The guy is just knowledgeable, helpful and efficient. As far as Fuse goes, they were one of the best quotes for a heat pump. We went with the Daikin Fit. We had no AC and the furnace sounded like a jet engine. Running the fan was excessively loud and we relied on inefficient, space-hogging portable ACs. Needless to say we are extremely happy with the unit and the work done by Vlad. The Daikin Fit is as quiet as they say (especially with the filter box). My only negative was that the estimator hadn't included the price of drywall install or told us about the filter box beforehand. I don't want to fault him too much since he was a nice guy with lots of patience, but I would have preferred to know beforehand. All in all we had a great experience with Fuse. read more

I spent $17k on a premium Daikin Fit inverter system from Fuse, and they sized the unit based on what my ducts could handle rather than what my house actually needs. They were communicative and really helpful right until they had a check in hand. Whatever savings you may have up front will not compare to Fuse falling short when you need them most. I paid for a premium inverter system specifically for its modulation capabilities, but because it's oversized, it functions like a cheap single-stage unit. When I asked for the Manual-J load calculation performed on our home, they produced a back-of-napkin CFM calculation based on duct size alone. A load calculation is required by Title 24 and it's been more than six weeks of back and forth with their Yelp reps to attempt to hear back from the project manager. The 4-ton unit is clearly oversized for our home; the compressor shows it's constantly "hunting" because it cannot modulate low enough to match our actual heat load. I've been trying to resolve this for *six weeks*, but I've been completely ghosted by their technical department while the Yelp reps just keep "pinging" people who never respond. If you are looking for professionals or any kind of support after you pay them, look elsewhere. I am now forced to escalate this to the Fremont Building Department and the CSLB to get the code non-compliance fixed. Beware. read more

Fuse installed a new heat pump and air handler for us. The price was competitive and the work was excellent. The thing that stood out the most was their thorough assistance with permitting and rebates. They sent information on available rebates, provided the information needed to access these rebates, scheduled the inspection, and sent reminders. This part was super top notch! I deducted a star because the estimator recommended a side blowing outdoor unit in a space that was not suitable for it. There was a dryer vent right where the intake is and a structure right in front. A top blowing unit would have mitigated these problems somewhat. A homeowner will be oblivious to these nuances until after installation but the estimator should have known better. I would have deducted two stars but they did make it right by moving the dryer vent away from the outdoor unit. Regardless of this experience, I would use Fuse again for other work. read more

Our A/C was nearing the end of its life and we thought about replacing it (and the home furnace) with a heat pump. I had asked a friend who had his home HVAC upgraded for recommendation(s) and he recommended FUSE, so we contacted them for a quote. Jeff came to check out the project. He was very knowledgeable, pleasant and patiently answered all our questions. He sent us three quotes and we decided to go with a Daikin heat pump system. The prices for the system were in line with what I was expecting. Our installers, Andy and "Ace" were both friendly and professional. It took them two days to install the system. Our system is in the attic and they have done a really clean job with the installation. Frankly, the attic looks cleaner now than when they started! Our attic used to have a pull-string light and they replaced it with a proper electrical outlet with a switch. They didn't have to do that, but it is much nicer now. In addition they replaced an outdoor outlet with a proper GFCI outlet with a weather-proof cover. During the installation they did run into some snag with the thermostat, but they worked diligently to resolve it. During this whole process I also worked with their rebate and permit coordinator, Maria, and she was very efficient and prompt in replying to my emails. One thing I would like to see FUSE improve on is to unify their multiple CRM systems and provide a consistent number to call. Different emails had different reply-to addresses. It made some of the communication a bit confusing. In spite of that, they have been great to work with and I will definitely contact them for any future work (such as replacing the gas water heater.) read more
