Minh is an excellent electrician, and I would definitely call him and his partner Josiah again in the future. They did a great job. I had to replace a main electrical panel while upgrading from 100A to 200A service, and also replace a 100A garage sub-panel. This was a big project, and it was further complicated by having aluminum wiring in the house and having asbestos in the drywall which we needed to remove to do the electrical work. Minh came by the house on two separate occasions and talked through the project with me for at least an hour each time, so we could work out all the details and complexities. I am an engineer and I ask a lot of technical questions, and Minh patiently answered all of them. One of the reasons I hired Minh was because of his electrical engineering background, and I could tell in talking to him that he really knows his stuff. He was very flexible and accommodating. Due to the complex nature of this project, I changed what I wanted a few times, and Minh just updated the plan and quotes accordingly without any hassle. I really enjoyed working with him. Because I was upgrading service to 200A and replacing the main panel, we had to get the utility company involved. Minh handled all of this. He went in person to the city building dept. and pulled a permit the same day. He prepped the main panel and had everything ready to go before turning the power off. Then he had the utility company come in the morning, he installed the new main panel, had the city inspector approve it, and had the utility turn the power back on all in the same day without needing my involvement at all. Both the new main panel and garage sub-panel look fantastic. Minh gave me large panels with many extra breaker slots, which is awesome. Minh also helped me with several other things, such as advising on how to live safely with aluminum wiring, doing a full-house load test, rewiring the garage, installing new washer/dryer outlets, installing light fixtures, etc. All of this was super helpful and came out working and looking great. Minh does things by the book and follows the code. He doesn't take shortcuts. I looked at his work each day over the course of the project and the quality of the work was very high. Simply Electric is simply put, an honest mom-and-pop,professionally licensed electrician who's puts quality of his service for your job before anything else. Example, I have requested to have him installed the NEMA 14-50 to my 110 amp panel and he simply refuse, even if I pay to do the job. The reason is simple, he's not here for the money and wants to do it right. If you hire other electrician who does it for the money, then you might risk your house being burnt down due to you tell him to ignore the guidelines. Due to this, I can trust Minh to do the job right without worry things will burn down the line. In addition, he's a man of his word. I asked him to come back weeks later to reinstall a breaker that was original not used, he came back the next day and did the job immediately. No question ask. In addition to my electrical panel that was replaced at a very reasonable price compares to others I have seen, I also had Minh install my recessed lighting. I was impressed with how little cuts of the drywall he has to do to wire the recess lights through the walls. Not only that, he did not make a mess and cleaned up after.
