Wow! The technician named Eugene analyzed the following for my Gree HVAC: Added Freon gas r 410 a and fixed small freon leak from the connection in outdoor unit. Eugene only took about 2 hours to successfully repair the unit. He also will follow up in two weeks to make sure it's not leaking anymore. Eugene was friendly, professional, articulate in explaining my unit's problem. He also tested the two inside Gree mini splits for AC and heat. He observed that the mini splits had no leaks too. To say I'm completely satisfied is not enough. Air & Plumbing Systems has become my company to depend on for my Gree HVAC system. The price was so darn fair it was amazing. Less than five hundred! Very disappointed, this guy came didn't introduced himself and came with no tools and visually check at first and claimed everything is good. He kept asking about the house itself and I told him I need to prep the house to make sure everything is working before we sell it. His comments this should be fine all is ok. He is asking a lot of questions about the house and how much I paid for the house instead of focusing on the system to be checked. I told him that several vent doesn't have good airflow and he claimed it's working. I asked him should you not open the furnace to check if it's working properly? and do you have a air flow detector to check and making sure I have enough heating coming out on the vent. He did not tell me that they don't carry filters like other companies that provided service before. He took the filter out and I need to buy one at Home Depot. I have to asked him, are you not going to check my AC system? read more

When I requested bids to replace a water heater, Air and Plumbing was the first one to come out to make a bid. Their bid for replacing a gas water heater with a heat pump was lowest of 3 bids that I received, and they were able to install it sooner than the other 2. Edward did a great job adding the electrical circuit and installing the new water heater. The only hangup was waiting for the delivery of the new water heater, but it was still completed on the day scheduled. They obtained the necessary permits and inspections, and with Santa Clara rebates, it was cheaper than simply replacing with another gas water heater. The good side is that Mark responded quickly and set up an appointment for the next day. The diagnostic price is the lowest of what I know of. Both the manager and the technician are friendly to work with. My issue was, all thermostats went off. My initial guess was that some fuse or breaker was triggered, but I could not find them. Not much experience with HVAC system. The technician sent by Mark unfortunately was misled by the intact fuse on the furnace, and believed the zone control board needs to be replaced. There was another fuse on the board itself, which was triggered. After they left the site, they did admit their mistake of missing that and refund the full diagnostics fee. read more

Our AC unit was blowing warm air. After I sent a request for service, Air & Plumbing answered me with a quote for service charge of $49 and that they have opening for the same day. So, I took my chances and scheduled for the afternoon. Sergei came and diagnosed it quickly and gave us a quote. We went ahead with the work. I didn't know that freon is that expensive in the Bay Area, 75% more than what I paid in Stockton a few years back. In any case, Sergei told me that the valve to the freon was not tightened. That was why it was low even though the unit was only 5 years old. I appreciated his candidness. It's been 2 weeks since the service, and the AC is working well. read more

We had a great experience working with Air and Plumbing Systems. They replaced our gas furnace and central A/C with a Heat Pump system (indoor and outdoor components). Their quote was very fair and reasonable and Mark was very responsive to our concerns and questions. There were some ducts that needed replacing and they were able to offer a quote and get that replaced quickly. There was also an issue of the new ducts blocking part of the attic hatch space, so they were able to figure out a different way to orient the ducts from the air handler. Right after a recent heatwave it became obvious that my upstairs AC was barely working. It's over 30 years old and a heat pump so expected to be told that I needed a new unit even if it was repairable. Messages Mark at Air & Plumbing and he said they had someone who was free that afternoon to take a look. The tech Eugene quickly figured out it was just low on refrigerant and was able to top it off and check for leaks. I had my furnace of 15 years fail due to a cracked heat exchanger. On Monday Dec 22nd, I had contacted the company that originally installed it to price out a replacement. The cost quoted was nearly 10K which was absurd. Since we were hosting Christmas, they thought they had us over a barrel. I contacted Mark at Air & Plumbing after seeing their reviews on Yelp. He came out the next morning on Tuesday December 23rd and provided a quote for half of what the other company quoted. Mark had his installer out on December 24th at 8am and had us running by noon Christmas eve. This was incredible service to have someone come out on such short notice on Christmas eve.
