Since we have solar installed on our roof, we opted for the Carrier heat pumps and new air handlers which don't use natural gas for heat. My family recently hired Nur HVAC to help us install HVAC system in our house, and had a great experience with them. Ilias came by the house and was immediately able to assess our house and provide recommendations on how we could consider setting up HVAC systems based on our layout, what options we have and what the pros and cons the options are. He also mentioned that they are one of the biggest contractor for Mitsubishi systems. The whole process took a few weeks as we had to wait for permits to get approved before work can get started. We were quoted that the labor could take 4-5 business, but in the end it actually took 3.5 days which was great. The whole crew was professional and got the job done very efficiently. I would add some buffer on the times they quote in terms of when they might come, but overall, everything was mostly timely and the project was done in the timeframe we expected. For our crew we had Eldar and Andre and both were very professional and felt experienced and knew what they were doing. The insulation and pipe organization are professional and precise. Comparing side by side the new equipment installed with the old crap that the house had previous, you can easily tell the difference in quality. I appreciate how they handled the small things like removing old nails, tidying cables, and keeping the installation clean and well-organized. These are not required steps by code or in job description, but they did them anyway because they take pride in their work. They also avoid putting unnecessary ugly stickers on your equipment, which is a bonus. They may not focus much on sales presentations, but their workmanship speaks for itself. Major communication issues. The person who inspects the home and provides the quote is never available during the project and they are the only person who can understand English. On top of that, they never properly communicate the project details to the guys who do the job and there is no way for you to speak to the guys doing the job since they don't speak English. And there is no proper response to follow up questions after the project as well. read more

We installed a heat pump recently to be able to have AC and to replace an old furnace. Reached out to a few HVAC contractors and decided to go with NUR to install a Mitsubishi heat pump. David was our first point of contact and one of the main reasons we chose NUR. When he came to visit and provide an initial estimate, he explained the different options available and what to consider for each one, from duel fuel options to heat pumps. We called Nur Service to get a quote to replace our furnace and install an AC unit. They were able to come out in a few days. David came in on the day of the appointment and was very polite. He took a look at the furnace, our electrical panel, crawlspace, and patio area and explained to me what was and wasn't possible given the structure of the house and the ducts. We were looking to replace our 3 wall heaters (installed by the previous owner) with heat pump, and got three quotes from the three nearby HVAC services with the highest Yelp ratings: 1. Nur HVAC: Provided multiple options with both Mitsubishi and Daikin. The Mitsubishi option is more expensive. Provided some information regarding rebates & tax credits but not comprehensive. 2. IRBIS HVAC: Also multiple options but with Carrier. Slightly more expensive than Nur's Mitsubishi option. They provided very comprehensive information on all the available rebates & tax credits, which I appreciate a lot. 3. EM Energy & Air: Their quote is with Daikin, but is more expensive than Nur since they charge extra for removing existing wall heaters. They didn't provide any rebates & tax credits information. After doing some research on brands (Mitsubishi vs Daikin vs Carrier), it seems the internet believes Mitsubishi's system is the best among the three. Also given Nur's reasonable pricing, we decided to go with Nur's Mitsubishi mini-split option with 3 wall mount units. The installation was smooth; it took about 3.5 days. They were friendly, courteous, and paid attention to details, and always did a thorough clean-up at the end of the day.
