I've hired Cozy House for three jobs involving conversion to heat pump technology. With every job I found their workers to be honest, considerate, reliable, and focused on doing an excellent job. I believe their bids were competitive compared to others I received. Cozy House first installed a central heat pump in a rental for me. I was very impressed with their work. When the AC in my home stopped working recently, I didn't hesitate to call them again to have a similar heat pump installed. It was something I'd been considering for a while. It was not an easy thing, having workers in my house, but they could not have been more considerate and they always left everything clean at the end of the day. There were a few bumps along the way, including the need to repair some of my 64 year old air ducts. I believe that in every instance they went above and beyond to make things go as smoothly as possible. Not long after the heat pump installation, my 13 year old water heater quit. I received another reasonable bid from Cozy House, this time for installation of a hybrid water heater. They told me about a rebate that was ending soon and I was able to use it with their help. During the water heater installation I requested some changes and my wishes were respected. I would not hesitate to call Cozy House in the future for any of the services they provide. read more

Cozy House did a great job helping me go gas free for my HVAC. They helped me get the model that worked best for me and had competitive pricing. The process started with Tim coming out to take a look at our old system and then working with us to get quotes for a heat pump system. Tim was very helpful and patient as I went back and forth on a couple models. On the day of installation Vasilii and his team came to take out the old system and put in the new one. They worked to get my new heat pump installed to code. My old system was from 2001 and was out of code for some on the ways in was installed. They did a nice job and everything looks great. I would recommend their team for your next project! read more

After receiving estimates from several HVAC companies, I chose Cozy House Forever for one of the biggest home improvement projects, and I'm very glad I did. The project included installing three Mitsubishi mini-split systems and one Mitsubishi air handler system. It also involved removing all of the old ductwork beneath my house, installing a completely new duct system, and adding two new supply vents based on their recommendation. The first person I met was Tim, who came to inspect the house and prepare the estimate. My home is an older house, so designing the new HVAC system was far from straightforward. Tim took the time to carefully examine the structure, think through different installation options, and discuss the best locations for both the indoor and outdoor units. He never rushed the process, answered every question patiently, and explained the pros and cons of each option. His attention to detail and thoughtful approach gave me confidence that I had chosen the right company. Although several installers worked on the project, Vasilii was the crew leader and was on site every day. He and his team were hardworking, professional, and took great pride in their craftsmanship. After removing the entire old duct system, they spent many long hours working in the crawl space beneath the house to install the new ductwork. It was demanding work, but they never cut corners. Vasilii listened carefully to my questions and preferences, explained everything clearly, and offered practical suggestions that improved the final result. Mitsubishi systems do cost a little more than some other brands, but after seeing the quality of the installation and experiencing the performance of the system, I truly believe it was worth every penny. When the project was finished, the work area was left clean and tidy, which I really appreciated. From the initial consultation to the final installation, everyone at Cozy House Forever demonstrated professionalism and a genuine commitment to doing the job right. Choosing Cozy House Forever was one of the best decisions I made for my home. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality HVAC contractor, and I would gladly hire them again for any future HVAC project. read more

Ivan's team is professional, on time, and very knowledgeable. The technicians' craftsmanship truly stood out -- they clearly take pride in their work, and every detail was handled with care. They explained my options clearly and answered all my questions. After the install, they even came back for inspections and to fine-tune the meter settings, making sure everything ran perfectly. I highly recommend this company for their excellent service, skilled workmanship, and great follow-up support! read more

This is a small family run business with very little overhead, so they can give you the best price on your HVAC or other appliance installation. We live in a 1942 house that does not match today's construction standards. They were extremely creative when they installed our heat pump, including where they placed the outdoor fan unit and how they cut in a new standard air intake into our hallway, they were meticulous and making sure that this project would pass inspection, including installing a locking door to our attic, which was not part of the original contract similarly they worked creatively to install our electric car charger in the exact spot that we wanted it on the outside of our house, even though it meant running much more electrical wire across the roof of our garage. If you can get Vacilii on the job, you know it will be done quickly and creatively, and that all your needs will be met. read more

This company and their employees are always solid, professional, and work very hard. They are timely/ on time, in terms of schedule and installation, overcoming sometimes many difficult challenges on every single job as far as existing infrastructure, electrical, quality done workarounds, etc. They have installed 3 mini-split units in my home (and possibly a fourth upcoming. If there are problems which arise, they go the extra mile to make things right. I live in the Santa Cruz Mountains, and they make the drive from San Jose every time. Installing up here in the mountains (on the vast majority of homes), presents a set of challenges typically not seen in Silicon Valley homes. If you can afford it, I would recommend Mitsubishi Split systems (even if you can finance it). Their pricing is fair (more than reasonable/ competitive), and from my experience beats essentially all estimates from other companies. Highly Recommended. read more

Vasilii showed up on time and is very professional. He dive deep into problems, debugging several possibilities, going back and forth to their warehouse for equipment just to figure out the root cause. There is no overselling in the process, instead Vasilii gives short term and long term solutions. As a comparison, i also contacted another company whose technician proposed to change a couple of equipment without even a clear understanding of the root cause, on the second visit, it turns out the equipment worked well and still cannot pinpoint the cause. Vasilii located and fixed my problem on his first visit, I will definitely call cozy house for hvac system issues read more

After a disappointing experience with another company on our first HVAC project, we decided to be much more careful this time and got quotes from five different contractors. Cozy House Forever stood out right away because of their prompt, clear communication. They sent us a quote the same day, and their pricing was very competitive compared with other highly rated Yelp companies. We also appreciated that they are licensed for both HVAC and electrical work, and their quote already included the electrical portion of the job. Our installer, Vasilii, was excellent. He was always on time, professional, respectful, and very detail-oriented. When our project turned out to be more complex than expected, he even came on Saturday to finish it properly. The quality of his work, including the clean electrical installation, showed that he really takes pride in what he does. We are very happy with the result and would absolutely use Cozy House Forever again. Highly recommended. read more

Cozy House was very responsive and arrived as scheduled. They were able to install the new furnace on the second day, and the installation itself took only one day to complete. The entire process was seamless. I would highly recommend Cozy House. Not only do they offer reasonable pricing, but they are also very reliable and easy to reach. Being able to contact their staff almost immediately was a huge plus, and having the installation completed the very next day was even better. I requested quotes from three different companies. One quoted nearly $1,000 more and said it would take 1-2 weeks to get the unit. Another offered a similar price to Cozy House but had communication issues, the person who answered the phone couldn't provide installation timing and referred me to a technician instead. Cozy House stood out clearly among them. Thank you Tim and your team! read more

Was looking to get a level 2 EV charger installed in my garage. Reached out to Ivan and got a quick response. Tim showed up the next day to provide an estimate. After looking at the garage and electrical panel he was able to provide an estimate within an hour. On the day of the installation, Vasilii showed up on time. He was meticulous and professional. Very respectful to the property. The installation was very clean, even though our attic was a bit challenging to navigate. Overall I would highly recommend them. read more

My condensing unit stopped working. Vasilii came here the next day, on time, and fixed it right away. He's very nice person to work with.

I had old HVAC system that needed replacement, so I turned to Yelp and contacted the company Cozy House Forever. During the first appointment, Tim explained me all my options and gave me a quote to install new heat pump. During the installation of heat pump, they ran into lot of issues because of old ductwork. Their crew (Vasilii and Ivan) worked very hard everyday, often till late night, mostly in the extremely tight crawl space, and installed the new system. After that, they got the city inspection done, and the inspector gave thumbs up with the installation. Overall, I am very happy with the work, and I recommend this company to anyone looking to get HVAC work done. read more

We had a heat pump installed in our house by Crazy House Forever. The team at Crazy House are excellent. They visited our house, recommended what would be a good choice for a heat pump, provided a reasonable quote. They were prompt and punctual in keeping their appointment, installed the heat pump on time and did an excellent installation. I would recommend Crazy House for any HVAC needs. read more

After getting quotes from a few different companies, we found that Cozy House Forever offered the best value. While the prices were all fairly similar, Cozy House Forever provided more for the money. For instance, they went above and beyond by removing and cleaning up the old, useless attic insulation. They then installed two layers of R19 pink insulation, which made a huge difference on its own. Instead of simply squeezing a new breaker into our old electrical panel, they installed a sub-panel, giving us room for future upgrades. The city inspection went very smoothly, which was a huge relief and just shows the quality of their work. The entire crew was professional and considerate, always listening to our feedback and never saying "no, that can't be done." We're so glad we chose them for our HVAC upgrade--they are a great company. read more

UPDATE TO BELOW: Tim was quick to resolve the issues. They came and installed the WiFi connector. Contrary to what they had communicated, through the app, we can now approximate it so that the mini-split works in tandem with the ducted system and that's good enough for me. Communication still is more difficult than it should be but ultimately the issue got resolved. Thank you. I agree with the other reviews that the team that does the install is TOP NOTCH. Unfortunately, there were a couple of issues directly with Ivan. First, be ware, Ivan won't actually be onsite when the work gets done. This caused an issue because he and I agreed on the locations where the outdoor cooling units would go but after the first day, I came back from work and realized that they were putting them in the wrong locations. I had some other people working at the house and the workers mistakenly assumed one of them was the owner of the house. I don't fault the workers here. The second and more major issue was before I signed the contract, I had inquired about using a thermostat other than the mitsubishi one (he recommended mitsubishi systems: a central and a mini-split). I wanted to use an ecobee or a nest since it links up with my other home automation. However, Ivan (the guy that was doing the quote was young, tall and skinny not sure if this was Ivan or not) said the other thermostats can't control both the minisplit and the main ducted unit. The thermostat that mitsubishi was designed to control both units together. He also said the thermostat could be controlled by smartphone even though it can't be hooked up to other automation. So, I decided to trust his expertise. Unfortunately, when the technicians got done installing, it turned out that indeed as I suspected, the one thermostat cannot control both units (a separate remote is required and the two systems don't talk to each other) and the main thermostat can't be connected to my smartphone. When I contacted Ivan about this, he said a separate unit to the thermostat is required to allow wifi connection and that hasn't come in yet but it's true that the two units won't work together. Unfortunately there's nothing they can do about that so now I've spent $25K on a system that doesn't do what I needed it to do, it can't connect to the rest of my home automation system. I want to stress that the workmanship was very good. The workers Vasilii especially was very competant and quick. I just didn't get what I was initially promised and paid for. read more

Tim and his crew were a pleasure to work with. I was provided a free estimate few months back to install new insulation and replace 60 year old ductwork. Although I took a while to decide on when to start the project they were very patient with me and answered all my questions. Vasilii and Ivan were extremely professional and finished the entire project within the estimated schedule. They noticed a live wire in attic and helped me fix that. They were very kind to even fix my broken gate Would definitely recommend these nice folks for your next HVAC project. read more

I really like Yelp projects, it helps me get responses quickly for the work I need with the guarantee from @Yelp !! One such project was to install an electrical junction box for my new induction cooktop. This required adding new breakers in an existing slot in my sub-panel, using a metal conduit for bringing the wires to the crawlspace, and then connecting these to a junction box inside the existing gas stove island. Of all the quotes I received, Ivan's was the best and he explained exactly what needed to be done, and how much it would cost. His price was very reasonable and his work is really good. He was quick to answer any questions I had for him and was accommodating of my schedule. read more

When we learned we needed a new furnace, Cozy House Forever was one of the first to respond. They were out here the next day to provide an estimate and while they offered two options, and I feel like deep down they probably wanted us to select a heat pump, there was absolutely no pressure to do so and they were fine with us selecting a furnace. A few days later they worked late into the evening installing the furnace and now we have a cozy house forever...or until the next time our furnace burns out! I didn't price shop, but when I Google "cost of new furnace," their price came in right in the middle of the range so it seemed good to me. read more

I wanted an EV charger installation for my Tesla wall mount. Ivan was very responsive and answered very promptly. He gave a free inspection, which was a major plus in addition to a competitive cost, including materials and labor. He explained clearly what needed to be done and finished the job with exactly if not a better job than I could have imagined. He and his team finished earlier than expected, and everything from contact to the installation proceeded smoothly. It was also nice that he was able to schedule me in on such short notice since I desperately needed a slow charging and convenient option. Bottom line: Responsive, friendly, fast, efficient, reliable, timely, excellent and smooth job, very fair pricing compared to other competitors. I had 3 electricians come in to give me quotes to install a Tesla Wall Connector and Ivan by far gave the most reasonable rate. He also clearly explained the breakdown of the costs and how long it would take him. On the day he came in I changed my mind on where I wanted the install to be, it was a couple inches away from the original spot we agreed on. He said that it would definitely be possible and charged me only $30 more just for parts since it was a couple inches from the original spot and would require more parts.
