DO NOT USE IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME OR HOME In the past, I've had good experiences with Fuse, but recently, they've gone downhill. I made an appointment for them to fix a dripping faucet, and the technician said I needed a new cartridge, and would order one. Two weeks later, they come back, and they ordered the wrong part. At this point, I told the technician where they could get the part (a local bathroom showroom), but they said it was not available there. The technician removed the cold water handle from my faucet during this visit, and told me it was okay to use the hot water, but when I did, water sprayed out of the faucet handle all over my bathroom. It continued to leak under my sink until I closed the main valve. I'm lucky I noticed this, or my home could have been damaged. I was told they could get the part in a few days, but they later contacted me (with no explanation or apology) saying it would be another two weeks. I explained I never would have started this repair if I had known it would span the thanksgiving holidays. They responded by offering to do a more expensive repair, replacing both faucets in my bathroom. I declined. After two weeks (four weeks total without a sink now) , the technician returned with the wrong cartridge. He said he could not fix my faucet and apologized very briefly. I asked the technician to just restore the sink to the way it had been before (dripping slightly from the faucet into the sink), and he said he had, but faucet handle actually dripped water beneath the sink. I called a different plumber, and they declined to do any work until I obtained the correct cartridge, which I did (from the store the Fuse plumber claimed would not have it), and they fixed my sink. This is what I expected Fuse to do, if they were not confident they could find the part. read more

We were loyal to Service Champion until they completely dropped the ball. Fortunately i had seen Fuse tutorials and promos on YouTube, so when our 15 year old AC unit failed to run, we gave Fuse a call. The process to book them was easy, they arrived in the time window, and generally lended credence to their reliability, and understanding of the problem. The root cause was something I had done (and I suspected as much). A relatively simple fix was offered, and they set me up with a refrigerant recharge, and a working AC pending replacement of the AC with a dual fuel heat pump. Indeed, while all this happened 5 months ago, now that the cold has arrived, we are very happy with the change. Because we have solar, AC cost is usually low (solar offsets our daytime electrical usage). But in winter, the shorter days and the need for heat in dark hours means trading off electrical usage against natural gas for cost and effectiveness. Fuse offered us three different solutions, all of which were reasonable and at different price points. We chose the Daikin heatpump solution. Since Fuse does plumbing and electrical as well, I will be trying those services in the future. All in, we are pleased with the service, the professionalism, and the quality of the solution delivered. Oh, and the new outdoor unit is much less noisy making outdoor enjoyment possible again. read more

No other alternative or solution but that my water heater is old ( about 20 years old he said). Ah NO! the house is 11 years old so my device is not 20 years old! My hydro AC unit was leaking. There are not many companies that work on these units. Unfortunately I was not able to get an appointment for 4 days which sucked because it was during the hottest week of year, of course. Konstatin K was the service technician. He arrived in the scheduled window of time. He showed me the problem and explained everything to the homeowner when I called him. He also pointed out possible mold which I really appreciated because that is a huge problem if in fact it is mold (working on getting that taken care of now). This is a long-term (6 month) post-project review for Fuse for a Heat Pump Water Heater installation, switching away from a gas heater. I found them to be responsive and responsible in their actual work - by my plumber Ben, and rebate coordinator Maryna - who were both excellent with their customer focus, and diligent workmanship. The installation and last 6 months have been flawless, without having to call them back. I was impressed with their attention to doing their job well, which is saying a lot for any contractor in the Bay Area. I had also gotten quotes from 5 of their competitors, all of whom were disappointments in even getting a proper quote with relevant details of their installation plan (they just want your money and take you for a fool). Do NOT proceed with this company if you are looking for efficient, thorough, and communicative service. I would give them 0 stars if I could. We hired Fuse to replace our HVAC system. They promised a 3-day install, which stretched to 5 days with multiple issues. By the end, the thermostat was malfunctioning, showing incorrect temperatures and causing the system to run nonstop, even after the house had cooled far below the set point. The air intake and output also became unusually loud. They sent another technician who admitted the issue and tried some temporary workarounds which did not work. He ended up taking video/photo evidence with the promise to escalate the issue, but we never heard from him again. Since then, despite emailing and calling to request a plan to resolve the system's clear issues, Fuse has ignored us completely. Instead of addressing the problem, they have threatened to send us to collections, warning that all discounts would disappear and they would charge 1% interest per week if we don't pay. This is all also in the setting of a family medical emergency (which Fuse was aware of before the project began). Now, our calls go directly to voicemail, and I have gotten automated text message responses saying our numbers have been blocked by the few contacts we had in the company. I have never seen this kind behavior from a company before. This is deeply unprofessional and frankly unethical. We've given them every opportunity to engage and resolve the problem, but they refuse to even acknowledge one exists. If you're considering Fuse, I strongly recommend against it and would urge you to go with a more communicative, accountable company that stands behind its work. This experience has been stressful, frustrating, and entirely avoidable. read more

Just a quick note to say thank you for fixing our heat pump. So far the replacement coil seems to be working fine. Although it was definitely frustrating to have the refrigerant coil in our Mitsubishi unit go out after only six months, Fuse worked diligently to address the problem. I really appreciate the courtesy, professionalism, and attention they gave to getting our issue resolved as quickly as possible. In particular, I want to thank Mary in scheduling for fielding all our calls and texts and responding quickly, Konstantin for carefully diagnosing the issue, and Aiden and his assistant for installing the replacement part. Please pass along my thanks to all concerned. What I've learned is that heat pumps are complex systems - comprised of both mechanical and electrical parts - so it's very reassuring to know that the good folks at Fuse are ready and able to respond quickly when a problem occurs. The only suggestion I have that would have elevated my review to "great" is if Fuse could keep some replacement parts in inventory, so we wouldn't have had to wait for Mitsubishi to ship a replacement coil. My AC won't turn on. I did the "troubleshooting" by pulling in and out the outside "pins" but it still won't turn on. Not even when I set it to "fan" only. So I went to Yelp for help and went with the first one to respond. Which was Fuse Service. As with most of my house problems, the AC turned on when Andrew turned it on. Sigh....I told him what I did to the unit the last two days and he knowingly nodded and went to work. He checked the outside unit and came back to the thermostat. He uninstalled the thermostat and showed me how the unit turns on and off when he clips and unclips the wires. Andrew K just left our house with the AC working thanks to a new thermostat. Both were very professional, courteous, and efficient and the installation went well. Later, Adrian came back to fine tune the system to fit my personal preferences, which I greatly appreciated. Also, the original estimator, Gene, was very polite and patient, going through all possible configurations of AC, furnace, and heat pumps that might be viable options for me. We contracted with Fuse to install a mini split unit in our house. We first had a visit from their technician Roby, who assessed what we wanted to have in the installation, and the logistics for installing it. He was extremely helpful, mapping what we wanted to the robust options and product line that Fuse carried. He gave a rough quote before he left, and then sent the final exact quote within hours. The price was very reasonable. The installation was set for about 11 days out, but Fuse pulled it in and did it 8 days later after checking with us. The installers arrived promptly at 9 AM, and took the entire day working on routing a new electrical feed to the compressor, and installing and connecting the interior heat exchanger. David, the chief installer, was methodical and rigorous. I've done a lot of construction myself over my 73 years, and I especially noted how he would review and examine all his and his assistant's work after doing it. Now this is a fairly complicated matter - construction, electrical, A/C plumbing. He was a master of all the aspects. He made certain everything was done absolutely best. Update: I heard from Fuse after posting the review. They apologized for missing the service request and refunded me the money I spent to fix the problem. I contacted them about replacing an aging water heater. Their estimator, Konstantin, did an excellent job explaining all options and selecting the most appropriate water heater model for me. Their office was easy to work with to schedule and reschedule installation. Their installer did an OK job, but the heater was tilted a little towards the wall. I did not notice it until the inspector pointed it out. I contacted Fuse about fixing the issue, they replied immediately (auto-reply), then followed up a few days later saying they're scheduling the work. Then nothing for a month; I contacted them again, got the auto-reply and never heard back. I gave up and paid another plumber to fix the problem. read more

We just got done with having Fuse replace all the drains in our house. It was a lot of money and I'm quite a cheapskate but it was a very good experience. Those guys worked their butts off for four days in a row. They answered every question and when I wasn't sure of something they took care of it, including what would have been an expensive repair to the concrete on our porch. A couple of minor points: I wish I had known how much dirt the job would create inside the house so that I could have prepared better and some of the drywall repair work was sloppy but I'm going to panel over that wall anyway. I needed to upgrade my electric panel to continue my electrification of my house in Menlo Park. My neighbor had horrible reviews of another company and eventually called FUSE. She was extremely satisfied with their service and transparency, so I did not get any other quotes, I was very happy with Ron A who was my electrician. It took two sessions because PG&E never showed up for the first one to turn off the power but it went well the second time and he passed inspection with no problems. He's a very hard worker and the whole outside panel where it was placed is neat and organized. He kept me informed of each step. read more

Our kitchen light went out and during our own attempt at fixing it, we broke the wiring while taking the light cover off of the light's base. We had to call in an electrician and found Fuse with the most reasonable quote with clear initial breakdown of how the service works. With communication, there were confirmation text and emails, mostly automated messages; very efficient and clear for the communication process. The electrician's name was provided along with a photo prior to his arrival which was assuring. The electrician arrived on time and diagnosed our problems efficiently and explained the issue clearly. He gave us a few options and pricing, explaining how the service works and how the price would work in combination with the diagnostic fee. Alas, I had the electrician fix the wiring for us and decided to get the bulbs and do the replacement myself. I asked some questions to make sure I knew what I need and how to properly make the replacement. While these may be basic questions, I still very much appreciate the electrician being patient and informative with his advice. The price came down to a number lower than some diagnostic fees from other services. Keep in mind that the service we required was somewhat basic, which means a more extensive repair could have changed the pricing. That said, the diagnostic fee was still the most reasonable and lower than others which I have received quotes from, just to note. Overall, appreciated the work! Would use Fuse again and recommend it to others. read more

Fuse was a lifesaver for our heat pump issue that left two other people stumped! Our Lennox heat pump stopped working in the coldest few weeks of the year, and while one other HVAC technician was unable to source the suspected faulty parts, another one straight up refused to even take a look, saying that the whole heat pump should be changed out rather than trying to diagnose our "complicated issue". Thankfully, Chirill from Fuse was able to professionally pinpoint the issue to a faulty TXV and openly walked me through his diagnosis, which was thorough and accurate based on my own knowledge of HVAC systems. It did take him an extra three days to source the parts, but when he came back with Kostas to replace and install the parts, I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly and efficiently the two of them got the repairs done and tested thoroughly. Hats off to Fuse for the relatively quick turnaround both for scheduling the appointments as well as sourcing the part that no one else was able to, and shout out to Chirill and Kostas for being so courteous, knowledgeable, and most importantly down to earth. Fuse did such an amazing job on our HVAC system. First of all the sales person, Frank Parsons, was fantastic. Frank is straight forward, easy to work with and also has a great sense of humor. He assessed our job, gave us some great suggestions, and followed through on everything as promised. Great work! We had a big project with multiple HVAC units, both ducted and non-ducted. Supervisor Nikita was so super helpful in brainstorming the technical side of things, helping us figure out the very best HVAC configuration for our remodel and overseeing our overall project. Since we had walls open, we were able to cleverly hide equipment and we couldn't have done it without Nikita's technical expertise and patience. Our install team Andy, Vlad and Seth did an expert job installing our complex Mitsubishi system, which included 3 hidden SVZ units with ducting through the walls as well as ducting over the roof. Andy and his crew worked tirelessly to make it all just right and then once everything was installed, Andy walked us through the details of each unit. He also showed us the Kumo cloud app which allows you to use your phone to control the units (in addition to the thermostat). One other thing I'd like to mention is that FUSE communicated every step of the way. The office staff was friendly and helpful and would call to schedule and then we would receive follow up texts to confirm. When the technicians were on their way we would get a text with an ETA so there was never the waiting around and wondering if they were going to show. They were always on time and ready to work. Cant speak on the quality because they never showed up. Agreed to service they provided me a date, a few hours before the scheduled work they said the product didn't come in. They gave me a date and I said lets pushed it out a bit further to make sure the product came in. Less than 24 hours before the installation I was told they would be an hour late, I agreed to it because I took the day off. Installation time comes and there was no communication and no tech. I waited 1hr and 30 minutes thinking maybe he got delayed, it happens but got no information. I reach out to them and provide my info. A few minutes later I get a text saying the tech hurt his back and they would have to reschedule it again for next week. I've already been rescheduled twice already and took 2 days off. I get it things happened, but when dealing with a company I expect some type of professionalism which I did not get. The text made it sound like he couldn't come in today because he hurt his back. This means they knew before my scheduled appointment and said nothing. The other possibility it happened before my appointment but I waited 1hr and 30 minutes and did not get notified of what happened until I reached out. I will say getting a quote and talking to an electrician was pretty easy. Getting the work done was a different story. read more
