I scheduled my son's 8th birthday party here. The kids had a blast! My son chose to do bumper cars and laser tag with his friends. The staff was all very friendly and good with the kids. We had a few extras that didn't RSVP, so we had to add some on to the reservation which was not a big deal. The party room attendant was great and made sure we had everything we needed. Why are a few stars missing? It sounds like a great experience! Well, since the party room is a big open space with tables, they do not allow you to leave personal items. When we checked in at the party desk, she gave me 2 large plastic bags to carry the birthday gifts guests brought for my son. I ended up having to schlep them up and down the stairs for the entire party since they didn't give us any kind if staging area. I just felt like a sweaty pack mule the entire time, just trying to keep a smile on my face for our guests like it was no big deal and I was having fun doing it. We are also carrying around coats and a diaper bag for our toddler, so it would have been nice to have at least a space we could hold things during our time there.

It was great to experience a real arcade. I loved the idea of classic pinball games, new modern racing games, and even the groovy carpet was really cool. But I will be honest, most of the times i've gone here I feel a little grossed out. One time a kid came by and threw up and the cleaning process was slow and lackluster- it smelled awful! There's mysterious stains and smells in lots of places. This place is mostly full of little kids, so I may just be picky at my age.

Most bowling alleys (if not part of a chain, ie Brunswick), have a dreary vibe to them - dark, dank and unkempt - but not here. We arrived at 1pm for the birthday party, and all of the lanes were already busy. You can tell that this business books a lot of parties - and I can see why! The price per person for parties is fantastic! They have multiple tiers of both children and adult parties, as well as corporate and fundraising events. We had chicken fingers and pizza, and both were better than you'd expect at a bowling alley. The party even had a coordinator; he kept the time very on track, and was very accommodating. I'd definitely recommend Plainfield Lanes as a local outing or party spot!

On the other hand, this place is also a little more high end compared to your old fashion bowling/dive bar places. The location was very easy to find. We used Google Navigation and it lead us directly to the place. If you miss the entrance, it might be a little annoying to backtrack but no big issues. Parking was no issues and it is very big compared to the size of the building. We showed up on a busy Wednesday where it is penny pins so you only pay a penny per pin you knock down. Essentially...the worst you are, the cheaper your game will be. Inside the building is very nice and clean. There are two entrances..one is a "restaurant" and the other is the decent sized arcade and bowling. There is a self serving beer tap. And they do serve food. They do a little star less due to the prices of the food as well. It is better than your traditional bar/bowling food but it is a little more expensive. Also, I do enjoy the service of the self serving beer tap. They had a lot of selections of beer, 1-2 seltzers, 1 cider and ~5 wine selection. Also, they do have a "limit" of ~32 oz where the bartender can allow you or less depending on how you act. I do appreciate that so while you can drink feely, no one is getting drunk. I think we were paying ~.60 cents an oz and it does tell you how much your drink will cost as you are pouring. Also, they do have a small water station will is greatly appreciated. The arcade is decently sized. They do have a lot of selections of games but it is not a place where I would go just for the arcade. The size is good for after bowling or while you are waiting for your lane. Overall, I am very impressed with this location. Food, self serving beer tap, and arcades... I am fan of Twisted Pins and I would be back in the future.

Cash only, old school, manual scoring bowling…read morealley.I think one of the benefits of that is the customer base, even with casual bowlers, seems more respectful of the space than at other alleys. The customers/parents that bring children seem better at watching them than those that bring children to other, bigger bowling alleys. They don't let them repeatedly roam across lanes while others are bowling. Which isn't just frustrating, but can be unsafe with someone swinging a 15 lb ball and kicking their leg out. My only advice would probably be to get some more uniform house ball options to make it easier to find the same ball on return visits for casual bowlers.

Yeah, it was a bit small, but it really had a cozy atmosphere! Probably the star of this place is the service. From creating an event to day of, Timber Lanes showed some really good customer service. We had a party reduction and they adjusted the lanes and the price. I really appreciated the help! Also, every employee my group met the day of my event were excellent. This place has a bit of a hipster vibe, but everybody was so kind. Their drink prices were also pretty good (perhaps a steal). The only downside to this place is that its cash only. I get the want for cash only, but it is 2026. I was particularly confused that I was able to use a credit card for the deposit, but not to pay for the whole event. That part was pretty weird. Either way, this really fit the bill for our group so if we do this again, Timber Lanes is on the top of our list. We really had a great time and as long as you can get past the cash only aspect, this place is a real winner!

From what I saw, it looked like Pinstripes could easily accommodate several large gatherings happening at the same time without feeling too noisy or crowded. Even with a good number of people enjoying different events at the same time, service was still quick and friendly. The food here was also delicious. All the different fruits and vegetables that I tried here were fresh and colorful, and I really appreciate the extra effort they put into good presentation throughout the buffet. This gave me the feeling of enjoying a nice brunch on a more luxury line of a cruise boat. In particular, the carved meats and various stations like the waffle, omelet, and chocolate fountain stations really stood out. Not only were the items here delicious, but it really gave this brunch a more premium feel and was great for fun pictures with all the customization options available. Overall, great event space with a great brunch option available. I'd like to return here another day to try some of the activity options and try more of their dining options.

The staff checked us in quickly, got our shoe sizes, and handed us our bowling shoes before directing us to a high-top table to wait for our lane. It looked like they were coordinating with a family still sitting at a lane with kids, possibly checking if they were finished so they could clean it for us. After about 10 minutes, we were seated in that same lane I mentioned previously, which had two comfy leather couches facing each other. The space was clean, roomy, and comfortable. The place wasn't too busy when we arrived, but there were a few large groups hosting work holiday parties, despite it being late January. We had a two-hour reservation, and the experience was a blast. Our lane worked perfectly, and the blacklight atmosphere added a fun touch. One of the coolest features was the interactive avatars, which changed accessories as we racked up points. I didn't order any food, but my husband and friends did, and they all loved it. I tried some of my husband's croutons from his chicken Caesar salad, and they were well-seasoned. My friend enjoyed her gnocchi, and her boyfriend liked his chicken Caesar salad as well. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I'd definitely bowl here again!

They said it had no balance, but i checked on the website and it stated I had the full balance. I had even tried to use it for bowling, but since i booked online i had to pay in full online with my credit card. They couldn't reverse the charge and charge my gift card instead. And now for the worst part, if you reserve online you could be paying 2x or more to bowl. I was told the cost per game was ~$8.50 a person per game. That is the price when you walk in without a reservation. I reserved for 10 people online at $35 a person. That is for two hours of play per person. They gave us two lanes. If i were to have had 3 people, it's still $35 a person for two hours. You literally get ripped off the more people you have. And if it's not enough for the crazy mark up with reserving online, they also charge you a $22 reservation fee to book online. And finally, if you book online you have to pay for shoes for everyone. We only needed 5 shoes but paid for 10. I figured they could refund some money back, but nope they just gave me additional credits to use for food. And so since my toddler typically eats burgers or pizza when bowling, it was even harder to use it. I know it's not the fault of the workers there, it's just corporate policy, but if you can I would 100% avoid this place because of their pricing structure.

SLOW SERVICE. Had to wait an eternity to exchange shoes! Worker was annoying and hostile and rude.read more
