BlackBerry Farm feels like a hidden treasure find and such a fun spot to bring little kids. It's a museum, farm, theme park, and playground all in one, but condensed into a manageable but still enjoyable space. Tickets were $10 per person (for everyone over 1 year old) and they have discounted tickets for residents local to Aurora. Hours are 11am to 5pm and you will end up staying the entire time. Everything was a hit, from the train ride to the paddle boats to the carousel rides. They also have pony rides, tractors wagon rides, plenty of playground space and farm animal feeding (an extra $3 per cup of feed). We came on a Sunday and the crowd size was just right. We got tickets at the gate, no need for reservations. Majority of attractions had minimal to no wait. There were multiple private parties going on that day so this seems like a very popular spot for the locals. I love that there were plenty of large picnic tables so it was easy to find a spot to eat lunch.

Thank you so much for making Jaycee's 4ever moody party so much fun! It was a blast! All the kids had fun!

This is such a fun farm. Lower priced than the average farms which is perfect for what it offers. From feeding animals to paddle boats to a huge playground and more, the kids had the best day. The new corn bin is a wonderful add on to the farm this year, wish it was a bigger bin but it worked well and everyone had a wonderful day

It was a free museum day on Wednesday August 16, 2023. We joined friends for a fulfilled day. I paid $4/person to be able to ride all of the rides. We enjoyed the train, paddle boats, pony rides, carousel, & wagon ride. We packed a lunch and ate in one of the shaded areas. Truly a great place for littles. Staff was friendly too!

We've been visiting blackberry Farm each summer for over a decade. We've loved this part from the beginning, and it's only gotten better. My son loved it two, and he still enjoys it at 12. You could come here and spend two hours over the entire day. There's a train ride, a tractor ride, a carousel, paddle boats, a playground, and tons of history! This is a place you MUST visit if you are in the area!

Absolute fantastic day for the kids. Easy to get around. Pay $9 for 2 and up but you get unlimited access to rides. We went on this beautiful Sunday...no waits..the ponies, carousel, hayride, train and playground area are fantastic for the little ones. My 5 year old granddaughter loved the little zipline. Nature is beautiful all around. Grounds are well kept and clean. The summer food area...picnic and water all around. Kudos to this place because they don't rip you off. Great burgers...$3...hot dogs 2.50..chicken tenders and jumbo pretzels all around 2.50. Thank you for being reasonable. Most places charge $8 for a hot dog...this is family friendly. The petting farm area is clean and fun. My babies loved it...can't wait to go back. Thank you.

Until last weekend it had been about 10 years since I'd been here. Our last visit was when my son was pre-1, and he was stroller bound with a nook in mouth. They have a neat 'village' to walk through as well as a small train that runs around the perimeter of the property. Fast forward to last weekend. We came for the Barnyard Dash, a 1-mile run with a group of friends. At the end they had all kinds of treats including 9:30am beer. Anyways, fun place, especially for the little tots. Cheers

Great place to go with kids! We went there on Sunday morning. Paid $9 per person. Admission already includes all the rides! Wow! For that price we will be back! The place also offers season passes for $100 (resident)/$140 (non-resident). There were no lines! The train fits a lot of people and takes you for a pretty long ride. There are pony riders, carousel , amazing playground and much more

I'm from Houston, Texas and didn't like how we had to pay a non-residential entrance fee, which is more expensive. I feel like there should only be one flat fee. Also, the ticket price is so expensive, especially since we have to pay for the children AND adults. I mean, it's a children's museum so the adults HAVE to be there to accompany them. It's not like the adults come to play on their own. We come to play with the child. I just feel like adults should be free, or at least only pay like $5. On a normal day, it would not be reasonable to come here. I did see that they are hosting a Family Day when tickets are about $5 a person; that is an amazing deal and is so worth it. The hours are so short! We came on Thursday when the hours are 10-2pm. We came in at 11:30pm and I felt like we didn't have enough time! My boys wanted to play more; I wish we had come in earlier. So if you plan on going, I recommend going at 10am when they open, especially if you're going to pay full price. I didn't like how the hours are short and when it came to closing time, stations were shutting down early. At 1:45pm, the Cloud Buster exhibit was closed, which was disappointing because my boys wanted to go in there. A lot can happen in 15 minutes, so I didn't like that. The staff were all incredibly nice, sweet, and patient, though! They all kept their cool and were great at encouraging my boys, especially when climbing the Schooner. The museum reminds me of Montessori school, where it teaches independent play and discovery. I wish it included some facts and interactive play that reinforces the subject, like at a science museum. Overall, my two boys had a blast. They really enjoyed the "Play It Safe" and "Water City" exhibits. My favorite was Michael's Museum. I appreciated all the small messages of advice and reminders for parents in all play areas. It encouraged us and helped us understand the reasoning behind how children play or the purpose of the activity. From a child's perspective, this place is AMAZING, so I'm glad my boys enjoyed it.

Last time I was here I was amused to see the grocery store was a Whole Foods and the sandwich shop was a Potbelly's, but I guess those sponsorships have expired and everything's kind of generic now. Kids won't care but I thought it was fun. The main draw of this place is the sheer amount of variety they have. Kids can play with toy cars, instruments, water, trains. They can paint, build things, read. They can pretend to be a vet, build a house, grocery shop, run a sandwich shop (oh I guess I mentioned those). There's a whole bunch of little science-y things, and some areas that rotate periodically. Toddlers and young kiddos have a blast, but I feel it'd be hard to keep older kids engaged. It also feels pretty pricy, especially charging parents, though I didn't know you could save a couple bucks buying online ahead of time. Parking is mostly easy but it is a popular place so be prepared to have to do some conflict resolution at times.

We have the Dupage Children Museum (DCM) family circle membership and Kohl Children Museum used to be the one of six in-network museums with free admissions. However, it is no longer the case as of the summer of 2025. Now with our DCM family circle membership, we will receive a 50% discount from the full general admission fee. It is still a good deal. Our girls would usually spend at least two hours here. We have visited Kohl several times over the years and I generally find it best to arrive at the early morning, members-only hour because there will be less people and less chaotic. And also because we have visited so many times during different months, we noticed they rarely change up the exhibits.
