Went here on a weekend night with my family to mini golf. The arcade was popping! People were everywhere, but only like 2-3 other groups began mini golfing while we were there. The course is clean, unique, has a fun glow theme, and had a few challenging holes. My only complaint is the air doesn't seem to be on or have good flow in the mini golf area. We like this place and our toddlers love it! I've been here on and off for the past few decades with a variety of groups; today it was 3 adults and 3 toddlers. For a gloomy weather day post Christmas to get the littles out of the house this was a great adventure. We spent the first hour upstairs in the kiddie section of the arcade and spent about $20 worth of "tokens" on our reusable card between ride on machines, air hockey, candy pick up games, and driving games. We went downstairs when we were ready to eat some pizza, mozzarella sticks, curly fries, and hot dogs. Once we ordered we decided to do a half hour game which was $28 for 2 shoe rentals. We made it work so the grown ups could watch and "help" the toddlers push the ball down the ramp into the bumpered lane. We'll be back and recommend this place to local families. Extra points for all restrooms having changing tables, men's & women's! Expect a loud noise environment with teenage workers, and you'll be all set. read more

We attended Funway's New Year's Eve party . When we arrived we were told the event was for children 13 and older, and half of our group was asked to leave because some of our kids were under 13. While disappointing, we accepted the rule. What was upsetting was seeing other children who appeared to be under 13 allowed to stay. When I brought this to Jackie's attention, I was told they were "employees' kids." All of the children who were allowed to remain appeared to be white, while our family is Asian. We also observed similar selective enforcement toward a Hispanic family that evening. This experience was not about the rule--it was about who the rule applied to. The inconsistency felt very racist and made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. To make matters worse, this was my birthday, and the way this was handled completely ruined what was supposed to be a fun and celebratory night. We hope Funway seriously reviews how policies are enforced so all families are treated fairly and equally. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we would not return. read more

I had many memories at this place. Inside you have arcade games, bowling, black light mini golf, laser tag, bumper cars, and roller skating. Outdoor during the summer you have go-karts, bumper boats, water wars, batting cages, mini golf, and jump shot basketball. Arcade games are your usual family friendly games, you're not going to find your teenager/adult games that you see at Round One or Dave and Busters. Bowling was always enjoyable. The rates for bowling and renting your shoes are very economical. I've only done the black light mini gold twice. It has a good amount of courses and I loved all of the props throughout the courses. I wasn't able to do laser tag or bumper cars because there wasn't enough interest for them to operate them at the time. Roller skating is worth checking out. Black light mini golf is $6. Laser tag is $7. Bumper cars are $5. Roller skating is $7 and renal skates are $3. They have a family track and fast track for the go-karts, priced at $7-8. I never got a chance to try out your bumper boats and water wars. Bumper boats didn't have enough people. Water wars is $3.50 for 8 balloons. Batting cages are $45 for an hour with a reservation. Mini golf is a good deal. For 18 holes, it's $8. They have many options for families as well as dates. Food is nothing special. However, you're not too far from restaurants in downtown Batavia or Lake Street in Aurora. Parking you won't have a problem. They have 2 parking lots. One in the front and one in the back (close to the outdoor activities). read more

I scheduled my son's 8th birthday party here. The kids had a blast! My son chose to do bumper cars and laser tag with his friends. The staff was all very friendly and good with the kids. We had a few extras that didn't RSVP, so we had to add some on to the reservation which was not a big deal. The party room attendant was great and made sure we had everything we needed. Why are a few stars missing? It sounds like a great experience! Well, since the party room is a big open space with tables, they do not allow you to leave personal items. When we checked in at the party desk, she gave me 2 large plastic bags to carry the birthday gifts guests brought for my son. I ended up having to schlep them up and down the stairs for the entire party since they didn't give us any kind if staging area. I just felt like a sweaty pack mule the entire time, just trying to keep a smile on my face for our guests like it was no big deal and I was having fun doing it. We are also carrying around coats and a diaper bag for our toddler, so it would have been nice to have at least a space we could hold things during our time there. read more

Took my son here for his birthday yesterday. He had really been looking forward to skating and laser tag both of which were closed. I was disappointed they didn't discount the rate for the pass given the areas closed. We took full advantage of the activities that were open. Go Karts, mini golf, batting cages, water wars, bumper boats, bowling etc. Overall it was a great time. Only other comment is that the food was terrible. It was great to experience a real arcade. I loved the idea of classic pinball games, new modern racing games, and even the groovy carpet was really cool. But I will be honest, most of the times i've gone here I feel a little grossed out. One time a kid came by and threw up and the cleaning process was slow and lackluster- it smelled awful! There's mysterious stains and smells in lots of places. This place is mostly full of little kids, so I may just be picky at my age. read more

Great additions in 2020 to the outdoor activities!! They have the most fun mini golf course I've been to in a long while, and the bumper boats are a blast...prepare to get wet! ($7/golf round, $4/boat ride) The batting cages are nice too. They offer many speeds and you can adjust the height of the pitch. ($1.50 for 16 pitches) There are also go karts, but my son is nine, and you must be 10, so we skipped them. They are offering bonus bucks on your card, do it, the money goes quickly. I like the improvements Funway has made throughout the building as well. They added more gaming, I'll say the games are a rip off for the prices, ticket pay outs, and the toys are very average, but they are open when others aren't during Phase 4. I'd always go to Main Event for games, but the other activities make Funway worth the trip. The bowling is also overpriced, but I do know their scoring system is new and pretty advanced. During Phase 4, you could spend half a day doing the outside activities, go check them out. read more

If your looking for a quick easy experience for batting cages..look elsewhere. The cages are either broken, not dialed in or rented. Rude patrons that have a hard time "sharing " (staying in the cage 2 or 3 times wo swapping out) and management (Dom) who is completely indifferent to helping in any customer relations aspect. For the price and quality experience you can easily look elsewhere for a better, friendlier experience. Too add...the cages are for rent during weekday hours..yet on a Sunday here there's 3 cages out due to travel team. Ones softball...ones little league...so were out of luck. Took my fiancée and kid to go do all the attractions. We started with the outdoor stuff, and it was fun! Go Karts are a bit expensive for the time you get on them, but if you're lucky enough to go with a lot of other people, it's a fun time. Then we went to the roller rink and we ended up staying there for the entire 2 hour session just because of how good the music was! The tall boy with the roller blades and green wheels made that session remarkable. He was playing classics, but mixing it with newer music that made you wanna go out there and dance! Not to mention the game he hosted "red light, green light" was super funny to watch. We decided to try the arcade another time, since we used up all our time in the roller rink. Overall, this place is super fun for the family. We will be coming back :) read more

Fun Indeed. At any age- part of nostalgia weekend. J hadn't been here since he was 17. Place was pretty crowded with a lot of kids and adults. I stood by the railing and looked down at all the bowlers who looked to be having fun. Nice enough place. Stopped in here to kill some time before the STC parade. No entry fee. Just walk in and hop on whatever old school or new game you want. Pretty good sized place with a bowling alley, arcade games, lazer tag, bumper cars, roller rink and skee ball. Worth a visit and looks to be fun for the kiddies and adults. It's amazing how the littlest things bring us back to what used to be so much fun! read more

I gotta say, I've been to a bunch of roller rinks in recent years but this one was the best one I've been to. It's not the cheapest of rinks but the quality of everything was very nice. The floor feels great to skate on, and the music they play was fantastic. I usually bring headphones to listen to my own music because most rinks play garbage, but the DJ (Sabion I think) made me not want to put them on the whole time. He played some songs I've never heard at a rink before but they all worked SO well, especially for the crowd that was there. I could really feel the energy. I WISH I lived closer so I could come more often. I 100% recommend this rink, especially on a Wednesday night. read more

My husband and I were taking a break from work, stopped there to do some bowling and release some stress, asked for some food but we were disappointed for the way they answered. OMG! Okay my husband and I stopped here as we were searching for something fun to do. Dirty! Smelly! We had to wait for hit fresh popcorn as the one we ordered was cold and stale! I tipped the young lady who worked behind the counter to make me fresh popcorn and even after waiting for over fifteen minutes the popcorn was Luke warm and still didn't taste good. So after eating our stale popcorn we decided to take a walk around and the place is dingy, dark, smelly and there's sticky garbage all over their floors in the roller rink area! Unclean means unsafe. Would you allow your children to use an arcade that's less than desirable or unclean or dirty? I then spoke with management and was told to fill out a job application as they were going to hire someone for the children returning back to school. After expressing to the hiring manager and expressing how I wanted to help both the community and the children I never even received a courtesy call. I wasted my time interviewing with these clowns! I'm over qualified with a professional resume that reads like a whose who! They actually did me a favor by never contacting me after wasting my time by having me interview me and waste my precious time! But what did I expect from clowns? These are kids running an arcade who have absolutely no experience or clue on how to deal with the general public. Calling me in and wasting my valuable time as they sit in judgment of me. I can run circles around these clowns! Needless to say we won't ever be returning. Unfortunately we cannot in good conscience recommend this establishment. So here is our advice should you be considering this place for entertainment purposes. Run like your the last two monkeys boarding Noah's Ark and it's starting to rain! Wanted to give funway 5 stars but my experience with bowling last night was extremely horrible. We arrived at funway got our cards and loaded them Up for the arcade, bating cages and laser tag. We started with some games which were fun. Every game we played worked flawlessly. After that we headed to he cages for some swings. Next we decided to get a lane and bowl two games. It was my girlfriend and her daughter. We walked up to the young gentleman and asked for a lane and that we wanted to play 2 games. He asked how many shoes do we need. We told him "we only need one pair for the child since we both have our own ball and shoes" he said ok. We asked if we can get bumpers and if they would go up and down on their own. He replied with and asked ya to right down the names and who needs the bumper. We wrote down the names, 3, and advised who would need the bumpers. I went to my vehicle to get our bowling bags with our shoes and balls. We started to bowl and we were having a great time on lane 1. Ordered some fries, got a drink and an slushy. Even got a used bowling pin as a surprise for my girlfriend's daughter. After the 5th frame the lane turned off and on the monitor it said "thank you and please come again". I went to the counter to speak to the same young man told him we didn't even finish our first game and that we had paid for two. He replied with "did you pay by the hour?" Told him no we paid for two games. He seemed confused as it might have been his first or second day. He went to the manager for help. The manager looked at the computer and said "the game is over because you paid for two games but for only three people" I told him that's impossible and explained to him that we paid for three and how the young man asked if we all needed shoes and I had told him no only one pair since we have our own. No sorry for the inconvenience no let me fix this for you no let me turn on the lane so you guys can finish your first game you never finished. What I got instead was "you paid for two games for two people. Since three of you played you used up all of the two games time and are only able to bowl 5 frames". So after the young gentleman asked for all of our names and asked who needed the bumpers you're telling me he only put in the computer only two people were playing? He was the one that entered our names on the screen. After we couldn't finish bowling I put our balls away with our shoes and continued our. Igor. Wasn't going to let that ruin our evening. Yet two incompetent employees couldn't do the right thing. Next we roller skated for a couple hours. Played some more games and finished out night with laser tag. Needless to say we had fun before bowling and after bowling. We will return again but we will not bowl. Worst bowling alley ever. Worst customer service at the bowling alley ever. Worst management at the bowling alley. Every other aspect of funway was outstanding. I will not let the bowling alley employee and manager ruin it for me. read more

A/C is non existent everywhere. The arcade games need to be maintenance. Most if not all multiplayer games only had one machine working. Small area for the bumper cars, but this was probably the most fun (adults don't have to wear a seatbelt). The roller skating area had no air flow. It was hot, smelled musty and like feet. They don't seem to check the roller blades after someone uses them. The first pair I got, the brake was so worn down and one of the wheels on the left skate wouldn't even spin. The roller blades in general are just overused and need to be rotated out. There is no etiquette while skating so be prepared to run into people that cut you off. The prices are good, so I guess you get what you pay for. read more

Excellent place for kids to be free and enjoy themselves! I picked my daughter from a Birthday party in the roller rink on Friday evening at 9:14 pm......the ages were mixed from 10 - 16...and everyone was having FUN. They had plenty of staff to keep an eye on things, and the skate guards were doing a great job of making sure everyone was safe and under control..... The bowling alley looked pretty crowded as was the upstairs game room.... Again staff was viable everywhere and while there is a mix of ages/races there were no problems that I saw.....well supervised.... We have done bday parties here in the past and everything has gone smoothly....... Well done! read more

I was extremely impressed with all of the staff during our visit. But most of all I need to recognize 2 outstanding employees. I have a 9 year old daughter who is currently terrified of EVERYTHING - during our visit there was a Tornado watch and then warning. Right about the time my daughter was cashing in her tickets my husband and I heard the tornado sirens. I notified the team members who reacted very quickly and brought everyone downstairs to safety. Much to my surprise Chris went above and beyond the call of duty and spent the time trying to ensure that my daughter was pre-occupied and staying calm. i was very impressed with the time that Chris spent with my daughter and overly joyed at the impact that it had for her. Chris is amazing!!!! Secondly I would like to recognize the manager Matt, for the swift action taken once the sirens started and the calm that he was able to keep through the the establishment. The professionalism and courtesy expressed during our visit was extremely admirable!!! We had a lot of fun playing the games and enjoying our time that even after the debacle we ended up staying until just about closing time!!! Great job!!!! read more

Don't waste your time ordering there trash food. Good workers and service just trash managers and food. I came in ordering a pepperoni pizza puff and when I bit into it, it was sausage. I asked for a refund and the manager claimed it was pepperoni that Hagrid looking dude was wrong. What idiot can't tell pepperoni apart from sausage. As a last resort he asked if I wanted him to check the box they came in and this dude came back looking dumb as rocks, on the box it said sausage pizza puff. He looked at me all mad when i got my refund.Pt1 Pt2 came in bowling was great tried to give there food one was last try. I order a large pepperoni pizza. Worst mistake ever and waste of money. It lacked everything flavor and look. It looked like that school pizza nobody likes. Couldn't even finish half of there's tiny slices. Tasted like cardboard and cheese with only 2 tiny pepperonis. Take the ultimate trip down Memory Lane, if you will. This place, despite its age, still manages to be fun. The arcade? Good sized and usually very clean and all games work. The skating rink? Also clean, well-maintained, and smooth as glass. Go on 80's night for some classic retro tunes to fit the mood perfectly. The rental skates are always in good shape and clean, which is nice. Batting cages, bumper boats, etc... this place is great for adults and kids alike. Are they still using that banana-scent in the bathrooms? Please tell me they are. READ THIS!! If you have small kids this isn't the place for you. I took my 4 year old there and we tried playing arcade games with mild success. A few of the machines were broke but more disappointingly some of them took your money and didn't work properly. That was the best part of the trip. We tried to eat mini corn dogs but they were bad. The hot dog inside wasn't even remotely cooked. Threw that away after 2 of them. My daughter is 42 inches tall. Therefore we couldn't ride any go-karts, bumper boats, or bumper cars. Bowling is a ridiculous 45 an hour so we didn't want to do that since that's more than double what we'd pay at literally every single other bowling alley within 100 miles for the amount of bowling would have done. And that's not the worst part. While we were there a torrential downpour started shutting down everything outside. It was raining hard. I know because me and my 4 year old daughter went outside so I could grab my skates during it and we got soaked. So hoping to save what had been a waste of a trip out of town we tried to go skating. On their website it says the skating session is something like 11am-10pm. No breaks in the session at all. So at 3pm I go in with my daughter to try to skate. The lady at the counter tells me the session ends at 330 and that if she let me in I'd only have 30 minutes to get our skates on and skate before being asked to leave the rink. On top of that they had a session starting at 4. I asked if I'd be charged twice to which the girl at the counter assured me that I'd have to pay twice. So there I am with my 4 year old little girl looking at me with disappointment as I tell her that we can't go skating because it would take most of the time getting both of our skates on and to pay 15 dollars to skate for 5 minutes wasn't a good idea. So the staff there who had witnessed everything I just written did nothing at all to help with this collassal of a failure of a family trip. Seriously funway had no problem with any of this. I tried to explain loudly to my daughter so everyone could hear that we couldn't go skating because we came at the wrong time. The website does not say they are closed between 330 and 4. There's lots of little Chuck E. Cheese style toddler rides there as well as a super cool black light mini golf indoor section. Great place to take kids & youth from about age 7 and up. Prices reasonable for what you get, and you can pick and choose which activities you want to do. That means you can decide how much you want to end up spending.Good place for parties. The only drawback to this place is, it's a long drive. Plan on spending the day. Since there is so much you can do, that's easy. They have: video games, bumper cars and boats, go carts, batting cages, soccer and basketball type practice games, mini-golf, air hockey and Foosball, pool, roller (inline) skating and bowling. Usually it's not crowded, so it's not like you have to wait for things. It's amusement, but its an active place where your kids (and you) can get some exercise as well. read more

This is the second time I had thrown a skate party for my daughter. First time went well, second time- party itself went well. She originally invited 30 kids from class, I was told booking the party I would only be charged for who showed up but ultimately responsible for ten. Needless to say: 16 girls showed (and that's including one that literately walked in n out n went home sick). At the end of the night, I was charged for 20 kids. That's $59 over-charge. I called on a normal Monday business day to speak to an adult (manager or supervisor) to address the situation. She did call me promptly back and basically told me there was nothing she could do about it because a) that's what the counter girl had wrote down (actually she had 21 wrote down. LIE B) I didn't address the situation then (keep in mind it was a Friday night and by the time this party was over it was 11pm, oh yeah n I'm 8 months pregnant. And as stated before- 60$ is $60, but at the end of the day I wanted to speak to an adult or someone in management- not some kid at the desk regardless of how many yrs she's worked there- as put in my face several times. C) I didn't have any complaints on the comment card I filled out after party, and if I had a problem with what I was being charged, I again I should have addressed it then. ( BUT- I was handed this comment card BEFORE I paid- which was not brought up because again she didn't give the opportunity. I obviously was prepared to pay for 30 kids, we invited 30. Sooo, the lack of communication in this place blows. To be called a liar is a slap in my face and never ever again will I throw a party there. Originally I had called to just address the situation because there was also a few things I didn't even get to mention because this "GM" had to argue with me the whole conversation. Included in this teen skate package- each girl was supposed to receive a glow stick (I had to remind them at the counter of that 3 hrs into our party. The bday girl was supposed to receive a tshirt, which we never received but who cares... There was supposed to be a special bday announcement that never happened, but again who cares.
