We used Windy City Game Theater for my son's 7th birthday party. Bob was great with communication before the party and day-of. He was professional and did an amazing job with the chaos that comes with 17 young children, keeping everything under control. And the kids had a blast! I highly recommend them! read more

My 9 year old birthday boy had a blast with Windy City yesterday. The kids all loved it! We didn't see them for the entire 2 hours that we booked it for. The owner, Bob, is very professional, and Luke was also a great help when a kid had a question. Very highly recommended from this family! read more

Loved this for our sons birthday party, it's like a party bus for kids! There are many platforms, consoles and games to choose from and I especially appreciated that they supply their own power and internet(not always the case with other similar trucks I had looked into). The atmosphere of the truck is great for the kids too...comfy seating, foot rests, awesome party lighting, and the video game related music playing throughout the truck sets the tone...even caught myself bopping along to some old Mario brothers music. The kids had a blast and we couldn't even get them to come out to eat when the pizza showed up! The staff and personnel were very accommodating and friendly and the whole event was awesome-highly rexom read more

My first experience with Windy city game theater is my son went to a party and he loved it so much that he wanted it for his own party. Bob was one of the most professional people I have ever worked with. Booking with him was really simple and the cost of the party was worth every penny. He stated in the contract that he will show up 30 minutes early to set up. My party was scheduled for 1 PM and he was here at 12:15. I thought that was so impressive. He even allowed the kids to go into the truck early because he was ready. This was the most laid-back party I've ever had with my kids because the kids had snacks, and they were able to play their games of their choice. Bob made sure that every kid was involved and was able to play a game that they liked. If you have a child who really likes gaming, I would recommend booking this truck because it was worth every penny and then some. Bob, thank you for making my sons birthday party a memorable one. read more

We rented this truck for my sons 10th birthday. I searched high and low for a gaming truck that offered multiple players for fortnite. If I could give zero stars, I would. The owner is callous and uncaring. He "didn't have me on the calendar" for my son's 13th birthday this Saturday, April 20th. I had to fight just to get him to come up with a solution. He let Freudian slip that "this happens all the time". But the truth is that he got better offers later on down the time, and was able to make more money that day if he "lost my reservation". I reserved the gaming truck on March 2nd, (YES MARCH 2ND AND HE ACCEPTED MY DEPOSIT WHICH RESERVED THE DATE AND TIME) I heard nothing from him leading up and finally when I called him the morning of my son's party he said he was booked for that day and we were not on the calendar. He literally said "I'm sorry..." the end. It wasn't until I told him that I would not accept his "sorry" that he felt obligated to come up with a resolution. We went back and forth and then it came to my attention that he booked 3 parties during my timeslot, which is clearly the real reason he lost my reservation. He wanted to make more money that day, period!! The only option was to move my son's 13th party to Chasers Laser Tag in NAPERVILLE from DeKalb, so needless to say some kids couldn't come because even though we rented a SUV, it was a Saturday, last minute, and not many options were available. We even drove 45 minutes to and from a rental place just to get a SUV big enough. Since not everyone could attend we ended up with too much food that is currently going to waste, couldn't use all my decorations because they were specifically meant for my front yard. The party room's decorations were and looked thrown together and awful, so awful that I did not even take pictures of it, because we were short on time and literally unprepared for anything other than the party being at our house. Like I said BOB, ruined my son's 13th birthday and had no guilt once-so-ever. I would only recommend this gaming truck if you have a backup plan, because he could easily forget you on the calendar if something better comes along, and "it happens all the time"--his words not mine. read more

My son had his friend birthday party today and Windy City Game Theatre was amazing!! They were able to adjust the party time on short notice along with being there extra early to make sure the trailer opened at the exact time they said it would. I highly highly recommend Windy City game Theater!! My sons 11th birthday was awesome. The owner Dave and Jack showed up 45min early for the set up, and were ready to go for the boys. If I could give six stars I would! read more

Rob was on time and got the gaming set up ready to go for the kids . It's an impressive set up. I had 10 kids in the rig having a great time playing games . Rob also calls and discusses the best strategy beforehand and location for the trailer set up. It went smoothly even though we live in the city where the streets can be narrow. Highly recommend Windy City Gaming Theater. read more

Booked a reservation through Windy City game truck for my sons birthday. Good experience to start with a verbal conversation with owner along with a text and email confirmation after I sent deposit. Owner called and cancelled two days before my son's birthday which left us scrambling to find another truck. Very unprofessional to cancel only two days before saying they didn't know they double booked. My guess is someone offered them more money as we booked over 3 weeks in advance We were refunded our money and owner was apologetic but be careful if you rent from this company based on our experience. Thankfully we were able to secure another game truck with another company late that evening. read more

We rented this truck for my sons 8th birthday! The owner(bob) and his assistant were both very patient with the children and made sure they took time to explain the gaming setup. The truck was clean and seemed larger than life in my son's eyes. He was so excited when the truck arrived. All of this friends had a great time. They did not leave the truck at all til the very end of the party. They arrived early and was ready to go at the stat of the party! We would definitely recommend them and use them again in the future. This will most likely be one of my son's most memorable birthday parties! Thanks Windy City Game Theater for an AWESOME party! read more

We just hosted our son's 10th birthday yesterday with Windy City Game Theater and it was a hit from start to finish. Bob was a terrific host, and was very patient with a big group of 9-10 year old boys (who were extremely excited to play the video games). He arrived 40 minutes early and was ready to go right at 1pm. The truck's set up was incredible - the screens, the lighting, the seating, and the number of games - I've never seen anything like it (and neither had the parents). I highly recommend Windy City Game Theater. read more

If you are really looking to be frustrated, dealing with rude and arrogant behavior by all means give this company a call. The owner is rude and don't know how to communicate with people. My daughter had a party scheduled and called to confirm the final arrangements and was belittled by the owner. She didn't like his attitude and decided she was not going to patronize his business. (Yeah! Take a stand). After trying to book with other companies with similar buses, she was told this guy is so bad with his attitude that he's actually generating business for his competitors. Again, if you want rude and obnoxious behavior, and want to give your hard earned money to someone who doesn't know how to talk to you by all means call Windy City Game Theater. To be honest, 1/2 star. read more

We brought in Windy City Game Theater for my son's 11th birthday party. It was the only mobile gaming truck we found in the area that was able to run multiple instances of Fortnite, which is exactly what the kids wanted. The quad screen for this was a huge hit and everyone had a great time. Probably the best endorsement I can give is the fact that after the party was done, multiple kids came up to me to say it was the best birthday party they had been to all year. Highly recommended! read more

We rented this truck for my son's 12th birthday party. Awesome video game truck, the kids had a great time. They have all of the latest games and systems that the kids wanted. The truck is all ready to go, they don't have to plug anything in to your house or run wires like some other companies do. Kids had a blast, Windy City ran and managed the two hours in the truck so I could go in and clean and set up the rest of the party! It was a snowy night, cold Chicago winter night and they still made it here. I would definitely rent this truck and their services again. read more

Hands down, best party EVER! My 8 year old is a video game fanatic so when I stumbled upon this company, I was ecstatic. I spoke with the owner, Bob, who was very friendly and answered all of my questions. We booked my son's party and today was the big day! The look on their faces when the truck pulled up was priceless. The truck was very clean. When you step inside, it felt like a whole different world. LED lights, flat screens, gaming bench, and any game you can imagine! Wow!!!! This was such a great experience. The kids were so excited and have been talking about how this is the best party they've ever been to. If you are considering a party that's fun and convenient, look no more! Thank you for making our little guy's birthday one for the books. read more

We rented Windy City Game Theater for my son's bar mitzvah. Great decision. Bob was professional, patient with all of my questions, organized, very knowledgeable, and above all else, great with the kids. My son, who has been inside a few game trucks, said without a doubt this was the best one. The truck was clean, there were a lot of monitors, and a lot of games. I would highly recommend Windy City Game Theater to anyone looking to entertain children (or adults). read more

We just had a party for our son last night with Windy City! I am so impressed! Dave and his assistant were here early and we live way North up by the WI border. The truck is so clean and Dave and his assistant Jack are so good with the kids! Not only did they do awesome with the boys Dave sat and played Disney games with my 4 year old daughter who of course wanted to be in on the action!! They have the newest games and it was a chilly night, but the truck was lovely and warm. If you want a gaming truck party save yourself the trouble of calling around some of the more unprofessional ones and book Windy City - you will not be disappointed!!! read more

Honestly this was a great company. We called Dave the week before of our party not having planned anything for the kids. All of a sudden I have 20-plus kids showing up, and when i had originally called Dave I only had 15. He handled the additional kids with ease and fairness that was awesome. The kids enjoyed it and are still talking about it! Some of the parents were even a little jealous! Seriously recommend makes a party a dream for parents. read more

Cannot say enough good things about this company. Everything was smooth from start to finish, they were amazing with all of our kids even though we had a group on the younger side (5-8 years old), and the kids had an absolute blast.
