How it works, you head to registration; it's about $35 for the gun and Helmet rental with 200 paintballs. To get more balls is $12. Then there's an orientation where they tell you the rules. Then it's time to play. There's about 6 games or so. They take a break and offer up some food for lunch. Each option is about $5 or less. Options such as slices of pizza, BBQ sandwiches, and hot dogs all served with chips. Snacks such as bags of chips or candy. $1 drinks as well. They called me a few weeks later to ask if I could switch from 12-4 to 6-9pm. I told them no since it was a child's birthday party. They confirmed 12-4 would still work. We arrived the day of the party and they did not have our reservation. I had to find my receipt to prove my reservation. They ran my credit card for the remaining balance and THEN informed me that it would be an additional $7 for every adult that wanted to enter. This was never told to me until right then and there. Paying for every adult to enter would have cost another $100 or so. This wasn't even for adults to skate- just to accompany their children into the party. Even if they didn't want to skate, it was still $7. We asked for a refund and it was refused. I had to put 1/2 down to reserve my party, but it was never reserved. So I'm not sure what that money was used for since it wasn't to hold a spot. Maybe with all the money they are making they should use some of it to out back into the business. Place looks and smells disgusting. Buyer beware. Read the website. Don't just go off the information you are told when booking the party over the phone.

We have lots of friends with kids, so it's a bit tricky to find some kind of entertainment that our baby could also enjoy. We'd been to parties that had face painting and balloon artists, but we wanted something a little more interactive. Soft play was the perfect idea. An area where little kids can play and burn off some energy. We have a January baby, so while it'd be nice to have his party at a park, soft play worked well for us and our venue. There are a few companies around that do this but Happy Me had a good price and was willing to deliver to our location in the northwest suburbs. We got the blue hues package which came with a ball pit, some soft stacking blocks, a couple large toy animals and a bunch of tumbling blocks. The two guys setting up arrived right when we asked them to and were prompt in setting everything up and ensuring it was all clean for the kiddies. They asked us what time we wanted them back and they were quick to pack up as well as we were taking down our party decorations. The little ones had a great time with it, and even some of the bigger kids still had fun playing in the ball pit. Happy Me was perfect and we'd definitely recommend them to our other parent friends, and we'll see if we can find a Chinese restaurant that will allow us space for next year.

We did 30 minutes of axe throwing. This is different than any axe throwing we have tried since it has a virtual board that flashes to the cork. It's like Top Golf, but with axes. You can play traditional bullseye style or a variety of games. Tristan Crist himself showed us the games. (I'm guessing this is his business attached right to the magic theatre.) it was fun, but I would never recommend 30 minutes, even for two, an hour is better. $50 versus $70 for the hour. We then bought the mini golf bands. Nine holes for $15/per person which also gets you the band for all the rest of the games. We played pool, shot basketball and played tic tac toe, but there is also bags, skee ball, air hockey and more. There is a golf simulator, it's expensive for the hour. But available. A couple suggestions would be...no popcorn! It's everywhere...the couches, the mini golf, the floor and more...lots of kids. Also, more cost racks, definitely one upstairs is needed. Get rid of Yard Jenga, it's too loud! It's startling and not necessary with all that's available. There are drinks available in cans and pizza plus a rack of snacks. The axe throwing area is at the end of the bar, and separate enough not to get in the way of those patrons not participating. The beer selection is awesome, the service fast and friendly, the food hot and tasty, and the overall vibe very fun. They even have trivia, bingo and live music. This is an excellent place to stop in and enjoy an afternoon. Bring the kids too! There is something for everyone!
