Pretty ordinary Korean pub vibe. We got army stews and corn cheese. They don't offer fried rice service like Korea so we ordered requested rice and kim-garu to make our own fried rice. Okay service.

Half & half Korean Fried Chicken

It's been forever since we've been here. Mostly for an after work dinner & drinks. So since it's 2021, it's time to get out and have some great Korean food, bbq and some fried chicken. We ordered some other things like beef tripe soup, some salad and of course we love having all the side dishes, which didn't survive picture taking. Also, usually you can have rice but since we're on a Keto diet, we enjoyed the soup, bbq and salad instead. Great cozy atmosphere, we went early at 5pm so it wasn't that crowded yet. Service is excellent, they still abide by all the covid guidelines and policies. Servers and staff wear masks at all times. Like I said we love the food and shall be back soon!

Stir Fried Kimchi, Tofu and Grilled Pork Belly

This pocha is a long standing establishment in Aurora, right next to the hmart. It's a good place to relax after a long day. They play a lot of K-pop and will have some games on the tv (football, soccer, basketball). The bar doesn't have many options but they have the solid common offerings. The bathroom used to be very sketchy but they recently remodeled it to be cleaner and nicer. The restaurant can get quite busy and there's not that many servers. They do have call buttons so be patient. But order as much as you think you need at the beginning and you'll be set. I think the service is decent under these conditions. The fried chicken is great. It's half sweet half spicy and covered in the sauce. The skin remains very crispy. The meat is very juicy. We also got the army stew, it's nothing out of this world but it's quite filling. There's also a tofu, stir fried kimchi, and pork belly dish that's great. It's not filling but it tastes pretty dang good. The bon chin (little side dishes of food) is very simple. Bean sprouts, picketed onions, daikon, and kimchi. It's good though. The bowls of rice here cost extra just fyi.

Food portions are funny business for the calamari and funny combo Calamari looked like stale union rings KFC WINGS came unsauced with no sauce on the side Ketchup was half a squirt, not even enough to dip my wings Fries were under fried and stale

It breaks my heart to write a 2-star review because there are just not that many Korean restaurants in Colorado. With that being said, I would like to write this review to let people know what to expect when coming here. Let's start with the positives and then the negatives. Positives: * The waiting staff here is always really nice and on top of everything. Never really had to wait for water refills or to ask for anything else. * Most of the food we get here is pretty good. Please see my negative bullet point about fried chicken below. Negatives: * The bathrooms here are the worst I think I've ever seen in my life. I've seen bathrooms at sketchy parks and portable bathrooms in better condition than the ones here. The sink seems to always be clogged with black water sitting in it. The urinal has been broken for a while. The toilet has all kinds of things smeared all over it and doesn't seem to flush properly. There is a constant stale, pungent cigarette smell. And the cherry on top was a bunch of wait looked like fecal matter smeared on the walls the last time I was there. * The fried chicken is ok most of the time but there were a few times where it seemed pretty obvious that the chicken was old and refried. The inner chicken skin was really hard and the flesh itself was dry. * This is me being a bit nit-picky here but it's clear that they wanted to make a music playlist where everyone gets to choose songs and they'll play one song at a time from each person's playlist so it'll go from Korean ballads, hardcore rap, rock, etc and it can get a little disorienting. Overall, I want to like this place but there are a few reasons why it's a bit difficult...

Great sides.

Ridiculously hilarious name, but the food is awesome! Didn't do the BBQ but ordered off the menu. Everything we ardered was great, and the fried chicken was killer! Got the kimchi pancake...delicious! The fried chicken with scallions was so good, too!

Spicy Fried Chicken
Josephine T.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! The Corn Cheese and Spicy Korean Chicken are out of this world! The Corn cheese was well seasoned with creamy mayonnaise and melted mozzarella cheese on top. It was well baked, giving the mozzarella cheese color and texture. The mixtures of soy sauce, honey rice vinegar, ginger, garlic, and Korean Chili Paste intensifies the caramelized flavoring of the chicken. If you are up at 1 am, this is the place to be!

Can't remember the name sorry

We got the classic soondae soup with bone broth and spicy soondae soup, both without intestines. The soondae was very chewy and the classic broth was on the lighter side. They ddukbokki took awhile to come out but once we got it, we enjoyed how it tasted like classic spicy rice cake with fish cake in it. At least for lunch combo, the thoughtful assortment of main dish and side dishes as well as soup of the day are very satisfactory. Their food is little bit more on a savory side compared to other Korean restaurants who use too many spices. Before I met Baekga, i was pretty disappointed in local franchises of Korean eateries in Colorado, but Baekga not only they have very calm and toned down atmosphere for pleasant meals, it is the venue I would actually bring my visitors to. The location is little far for me to explore their dinner menus but I would love to when I am nearby next time. Champagne kimchi was inspiring. I never had any kind of Kimchi taste like this. I really praise for the creativity. It would be a good pair with a variety of food such as charcuterie board, katsu, sausage dish, barbecue, and simple with wine! I personally liked Dakgangjeong, Beef radish soup (soup of the day), and champagne kimchi from my visit. Frankly, this venue maybe a polarizing Korean restaurant especially for Korean natives, but I personally think this venue deserves more recognition compared to other local Korean franchise in Denver/Aurora who just serve the food items but not the sincerity and/or creativity.

The experience here is exactly what I want from Korean BBQ: lively, satisfying, and easy to settle into for a while. The cheese corn is an absolute must and easily one of the best sides on the table. The steamed egg was fluffy and comforting, and the meats were the real highlight. The pork belly was rich and well cut, the bulgogi was flavorful, and the short ribs were tender and cooked beautifully. Add a few bottles of soju and suddenly you've lost track of time in the best way. This is the kind of place you go with friends, order generously, and just enjoy the night. I'll absolutely be back, and honestly, I'm always down to join if someone invites me.

The quality of the meat is good, the portions were big enough for the two of us, but definitely would not be enough if there were more in our party. This isn't an AYCE place like many other Korean BBQ restaurants, so expect to pay per meat selection. The prices are comparable to other non-AYCE restaurants in Aurora though. Total for the two of us: about $200, which included the tip. We dined on a weeknight so there wasn't a wait but I assume there is one on the weekends since the restaurant is fairly small. The service was fast and friendly and they checked on us often. Brush up on your parallel parking since only street parking is available.

However, I was very pleasantly surprised at the ambiance, the food, the drinks, and the warmth of the owner! We walked in Thursday night at 11pm. It was one of the only Asian restaurants in the area still open after our flight landed. As expected, the customers were sparse save for 2-3 tables of diners. The interior was immediately green flags - l loved the decor and wood tones. It felt like I was in Korea! The menu is your typical pocha fare - soups, Korean pancakes, army stew, KBBQ meats. We ordered the jalapeño soy chicken wings, volcano pork, and the kimchi fried rice. My favorite was the chicken wings, really crunchy with good flavor and the wings were decently sized. The volcano pork came over a fire burner and cooked at our table. It was definitely pretty spicy but paired really well with the kimchi fried rice, which I thought could be spicier. The pork quality was ok but I really liked the flavors and the bean sprouts in the pot. I particularly love that K Pocha has zero sugar soju on the menu no sugar = no hangovers!) I always drink the brand with the fox on it and squeeze a bit of lemon into the shot. We were served by the owner and the service was efficient. He didn't seem to speak the best English so we had to have one of our friends translate when we asked questions, but he was really nice and welcoming. K Pocha seems to be pretty new, so I will hopefully be back soon to support his business! I definitely want to try the army stew and the tofu soups.

We each got our own side dish with 4 side dishes. There was cabbage kimchi, radish kimchi, cucumber kimchi, and a soy braised potato with fish cakes. I love a good hot stone bibimbap because of the crispy rice and this was CRISPY. I loved it. The side dishes were the perfect compliment to the dishes too. I will say my only complaint is the beef wasn't as flavorful as some other places but with how much food they're cranking out with only 2 people, they're doing a pretty great job. Despite all the people coming in and the people eating, the lady in the front was still happy and let people know there would be at least a 30 min wait to get seated. The restaurant is divided into two sides, hotpot and kbbq. It was packed on a Saturday night so we were sat upstairs. The service was good but not phenomenal, there's a language barrier of course and also there's a ton of people there so they are spread thin. They even have a button on the wall to call your server over and make things easy. The place is clean and well-decorated We ordered the seafood pancake appetizer and 2 different meats for the grill - the bulgogi and chadol. Both were so good, the chadol was my favorite. The Banchan sides came out first - at least 10 of them, it was amazing, and endless! Sadly they ran out of the sweet potato when i tried to order more. Unfortunately, the experience was mixed--and ultimately disappointing. Before the meal, I stopped by the restroom to wash my hands. Both soap dispensers were empty or not working. I notified the bathroom attendant, assuming it would be quickly addressed. At the time, I brushed it off as a minor oversight. One of the highlights of Korean BBQ is always the variety of vegetable side dishes, and this visit did not disappoint in that regard. The assortment of banchan was plentiful--definitely the best part of the meal and something I always look forward to. However, the main dish fell short. I ordered the Kalbi Tang, which was quite disappointing. The beef ribs were clearly undercooked; the meat was tough, bristly, and difficult to chew. Instead of the tender, slow-cooked texture you expect from this dish. After the meal, I returned to the restroom--and to my surprise, the soap dispensers were still not working. This was no longer a small issue. It raised a serious concern: if customers didn't have access to soap, it's very possible that employees didn't either. The thought that staff might be handling food without properly washing their hands is unsettling and frankly unacceptable. I once heard a food inspector say that if you want to judge a restaurant, check the bathroom first. If they don't care about maintaining a basic level of cleanliness, it often reflects what's happening behind the scenes. Unfortunately, this experience reinforced that idea. While the side dishes were enjoyable, the combination of poor entree quality and concerning hygiene issues makes it hard to recommend returning anytime soon.
