Who says that Fullerton Ace Hardware is only for men? Ladies, if you would like to shop excellent kitchenware, cute aprons, pretty garden decorations, etc., check this place out. You will be amazed with not only the variety of home decor but also furniture selection. Every isle you walk in, there is always something that will capture your eyes. The store is very organized in categories and displayed attractively that you will want to spend more time. The staff are very friendly and always there for you if you need them. Everyone has a beautiful smile that you won't forget. Take advantage of the membership by adding up the points by earning 10 points per dollar, receiving free delivery after spending $50 or more and receiving $5 or $10 birthday offer.

After a few less-than-stellar experiences at another Crown ACE Hardware, I figured I would check out the Fullerton location. Admittedly, I was hesitant to visit this location after reading all the negative reviews, but I was actually pleasantly surprised. The Fullerton location is a hidden gem! Originally opened in the 1950s, Crown ACE Hardware (Fullerton) is one of several "Crown" versions of ACE Hardware in Orange County owned by the same family (as opposed to the "regular" versions of ACE). The Fullerton location is a bit larger than some of the others, is bright & inviting, & the associates (for the most part) are friendly & helpful. They offer not only the typical items you would find at the big-box stores, but also some fun hard-to-find merchandise. With its old-fashioned hometown-type hardware store atmosphere, you will literally feel transported in time...almost as if you just stepped into a Norman Rockwell illustration...in a good way. They offer novelty & old-school candy, snacks, & beverages, a variety of colours of Stanley tumblers (if you're into those), "The Green Eggs" & other BBQ & accessories, gifts, beautiful mailboxes & plaques, & more. On my first visit, one of the friendly associates greeted me & asked if it was my first visit, & shared some interesting history of the store & dates for fun seasonal events that they host. Despite the fact that they were closing in a few minutes, she didn't rush me, but instead said, "...make sure to check out the rear left-hand side of the store...I think you'll love it!" Curious, I made my way there, & she was right! Tucked in a hidden corner of this store, there is an actual "Gold Crown Hallmark!" Upon entry, you feel like you're entering a mini oasis, where they feature cute & fun knick-knacks, candles, greeting cards, home decor, gifts, & more! Seriously...I could literally spend an hour in just this part of the store browsing! I was so enamoured by a "Gold Crown Hallmark" being hidden inside of a hardware store, that I have now nicknamed the area, "My Secret Hideaway." Overall, I am really loving this historic & charming Crown ACE Hardware. It's an old-fashioned hardware store that's big on service, & a nice way to support a local business in Fullerton.

Ask the Community - Fullerton Ace Hardware

Do you replace the mesh on a retractable screen door?

If you can bring the screen in, we can take a better look at it and give you a firm answer. Some yes, some no. We would have to see it. We also do sell screen mesh separately by the roll for customers to fix their own screens.

    Do they sharpen kitchen knives?

Yes we do. We send it out very Wednesday to an outside vendor. They sharpen it and then bring it back in 1-2 weeks depending on how big of a batch we send out.…

Review Highlights - Fullerton Ace Hardware

I don't go to Ace often but when I do I am almost instantly reminded that I need to shop there much more often than the other two big hardware stores.

Great In-Store Service, Terrible Customer Support Hotline…read more I ordered two medicine cabinets from Lowe's because they were in stock (even though they were slightly more expensive than Home Depot). Shipping was supposed to take 5 days, but when the delivery came, I only received one cabinet--the second box was a random piece of luggage I didn't order. Calling customer service made things worse. Abigale was unhelpful, gave contradictory answers about a discount, and hung up on us after we asked to speak with a manager. When I called back, Tina (a manager) still couldn't resolve the issue. Also, be aware: debit card refunds can take 3-10 days, and they won't guarantee any discounts over the phone. On the positive side, the in-store experience completely turned things around. At my local Anaheim Lowe's, Kayah in returns was great and made me feel valued. She brought in the store manager, Edward, who handled everything professionally and gave me a discount for the inconvenience. Bottom line: Store employees like Kayah and Edward are excellent. The customer service hotline is extremely frustrating--skip the phone and go straight to the store.

RUDE STAFF!!! SALVIA IS HER NAME!…read more This is the reason why Lowe's has poor reviews because their fucking staff is so fucking rude. I was standing in the self checkout line when there was one self checkout line with their lights turned on, which means it's working. I asked the staff is that checkout stand working she said yes, but it's not available so we waited a few minutes more. No one was there and I said how come it's not available she said someone is going to come back because they forgot an item. So if that customer is not ready to check out, cancel their whole transaction so that another customer who is ready could use the self checkout stand. That is so fucking selfish of them. Time is money and my time is very valuable too. This is so uncalled for an unnecessary. If the customer is not ready, cancel their transaction when they are ready to pay then start. The girl who was helping her name is SALVIA. Bad, poor customer service. I think she shouldn't be working at Lowe's if she does not like to deal with customers go find another job. You don't have to make a customer look stupid by saying oh just stay in line which I already was. You don't have to state the obvious. Stupid girl.

Literally the worst customer service experience I've had…read more I went in to return a few items. I didn't have my card with me, but I did have my receipt. I requested cash back for the return, and the cashier told me they couldn't do it because they didn't have cash in the register and would have to get it from the back. I asked if they could get it, and instead I was told to go to a different store. I asked to speak with a manager, and as the manager was coming over, the cashier suddenly started processing my cash refund. I didn't come in upset, but that situation was frustrating because they lied, instead of simply trying to help. When I spoke with the manager, Jason, he was being dismissive instead of trying to understand the situation. He kept repeating, "Well, you have your money, right?" rather than addressing the service. I asked for a business card or contact information for someone above the store level, and I was told they didn't have anything available. One that's unprofessional. Two I don't know if that was true. My issue wasn't the return itself. I got my money back. My issue was the lack of professionalism and the way the situation was handled. Good customer service means communicating honestly and treating customers with respect. I understand retail can be stressful, but being rude or dismissive only makes a simple situation worse. They were being rude and egging me on of course I'm gonna be upset.

If you're into grilling or smoking, this place is a hidden gem. They have an impressive assortment of BBQ rubs, sauces, accessories, and a great selection of Traeger pellets. The staff genuinely welcomes you when you walk in, they're knowledgeable, happy to answer questions, and offer advice you can actually trust. On top of that, their prices are very competitive. Shopping here just feels more personal, and it feels good supporting a local business that truly values its customers. Great people, great prices, and great vibes. Highly recommended!

In both instances, I reprimanded the individual, instructing them not to interact with the screen without my explicit permission and to refrain from attempting to coerce me into applying for a Home Depot credit card. This practice is highly unethical and potentially more severe. For customers, it is imperative that you do not permit any employee to operate the self-checkout machine without your express consent. You are entitled to complete your transactions with privacy and without being misled into applying for credit. Do not allow them to interact with the screen unless they explain their intended actions and you provide consent. To management, I respectfully request that you cease promoting this particular practice. It is unethical. Please discontinue this behavior. Note also that Home Depot often utilizes an automated response system for addressing issues on Yelp across numerous stores. The reply is nearly identical on all low-rating posts and requests the user to allocate additional time and visit a disguised URL. This does not constitute customer service nor is it appropriate in this context. However, neither is attempting to manipulate customers into applying for credit!
