Pizza
Taxi G.

Pizza was burned hence them saying their pizzas crispy. The dough was meh and I couldn't finish the crust as it was hard and dry. Slices are 5.00 ( I know the overhead is high) They have been open a few months and the windows are decorated with signs that read open for 50 years. I'll find another spot like Pugsley or go across town to Louie and Ernie's. They close early Rest in Peace Full Moon Pizza Good luck to Mezze Luna

New name, same Arthur Ave vibes -- Mezza Luna Pizza holding it down on the corner
Nelson E.

Grabbed a couple slices at Mezza Luna Pizza on Arthur Ave -- broccoli rabe & sausage, and a loaded pepperoni/peppers/sausage/mushroom slice. Both were fresh, flavorful, and the crust was perfect. Fast service, no fuss, and some outdoor seating if you want to hang out. Solid stop for a slice in the Bronx.

Very busy local places, fast service as all the staff hustles to make your food order quickly.

I was starving and wanted to hit up Arthur Avenue. This place was recommended by the infatuation and since it had a high yelp rating I checked it out. It was just the thing I needed. YUM!

Lasagna in the garbage
Atosha C.

Asked for 1 Cheese, 1 Califlower and 1 Pepperoni and received 2 Cheeses and 1 Pepperoni. All were Meh. The Lasagna I ordered had a grainy texture to the ground beef and though at first bite, the sauce is okay, you get a weird after taste. All went in the trash. A complete Tourist Trap, locals beware. In all the times-years, going to Arthur Avenue, this was my first time there. Don't waste your time and another thing, this was friend recommended because it seems nobody can make a good Lasagna to save their life. Why can't I find good, authentically seasoned Lasagna anywhere in Manhattan or The Bronx?

My SO and I stopped in on a whim while looking for a place to eat in the area. The staff here are quick and efficient, bustling through orders to keep things moving. I was pleased to see gluten-free options and enjoyed a white pie with mushrooms--the seasoning and preparation were great. It took quite some time for the pizza to come out, which was my only issue. My SO loved the massive and tasty individual slices. My only wish is for more seasoning options to be easily accessible, as they're kept behind the counter where the line forms. Overall, a solid spot for a quick and tasty bite.

Chicken parm hero w pink sauce

New owner is a good guy. He takes care of his customers. Hard working. Pizza was delish large and crispy. I also ordered a chicken parm hero. It came w a pink sauce. The hero was also good. I've been coming here since inception when Stan owned the spot. Looks like he sold ? I heard he opened a full moon in Bronxville. I would recommend mezza Luna. Enjoy

Was so happy to find this Arthur Ave gem! Was in town and was craving a real NY slice and pie. This did not disappoint! I ordered ahead and it was ready right away. Everyone was super friendly and even though it was an off hour (3 pm) it was crowded. So glad to have found this place and will definitely be back the next time we find ourselves in the Bronx.

Ordered eggplant slice - delicious, satisfying and crispy! I loved this pizza, and staff is friendly. Also ordered garlic knots - omg! They were excellent! Thx you and will be back!

BBQ pork slice

If you're going to the Bronx, you gotta go to Arthur Ave. If you've going to Arthur Ave and want slices, this is the place. The slices are huge, chewy and crisp dough, well seasoned and lots of toppings. Had the BBQ pork slice and the chicken parm slice. Both excellent. Also had a potato croquette which was huge, size of a baked potato - excellent seasoning, good amount of cheese. Staff was awesome, friendly to us tourist types, helpful and very fast.

Pep and Marg...HUGE and delicious... Marg was SO FRESH!

Amazing! Service, price, taste.... all of it! Even my wife loved it and she hates pizza. Definitely the pizza we were looking for when we came to NYC. Everything else we tried until this point had been greasy, too much dough, too much sauce, no flavor... but this was the real deal! Little Italy in the Bronx did not dissapoint! Not to mention the selection of slices and other items far exceed the other places we went! 10 out of 10 recommend!

The GOAT of Bronx Pizza. Period…read more If you want to know what real New York City pizza is supposed to taste like, stop looking and get to Louie & Ernie's on Crosby Ave. This isn't just a meal; it's a Bronx institution. The Vibe: Old School & Authentic This place is as "old school" as it gets. It's located in the basement of a house, and walking in feels like stepping back into 1959. There are no fancy decorations or "artisanal" gimmicks--just the smell of fresh dough and a gas oven that's probably seen more history than most museums. * Pro Tip: It is CASH ONLY. Don't be that person who gets to the counter with a card; come prepared. The Pizza: The Best in the Bronx I've had a lot of pizza, but this is easily the best in the borough. * The Crust: Paper-thin, perfectly salty, and has that signature "Bronx fold" with just the right amount of char on the bottom. * The Sausage: This is their claim to fame. They use huge, fresh chunks of sausage that are packed with flavor. It's heavy, it's greasy in the best way possible, and it's legendary. * The Sauce/Cheese: The ratio is perfection. The sauce is tangy and bright, and the mozzarella is creamy and never "rubbery." The Service The staff here are exactly what you want in a legendary neighborhood spot--friendly, fast, and no-nonsense. They keep the line moving, but they treat you like a regular even if it's your first time. Verdict: 10/10. It's simple, it's classic, and it's the king of the Bronx. If you haven't been, you're doing NYC wrong.

For a place that does slices there's a LOT of searing options, both inside, and this area out the back which is pretty good.

After you get situated with finding parking, better yet, take mass transit if you can, you'll find a non descript pizzeria. It's CASH ONLY ** they have ATM's inside for your convenience, which I had to use and I think the fee was 2.50$ but I'm not sure. The pizzeria slices are HUGE.-ginormous- colossal!! I thought it was going to be superficially large pizza with a horrible taste. ON THE CONTRARY - NO! The pizza was delicious and I found the salt content to be reasonable, perfectly salted. I paid 38$ for the super sized pizza. My kids devoured it, while my wife took pictures of of the kids eating their kite sized pizza slices. I highly recommend this "Bronx Style" pizzeria. The pizza is well cooked, medium to thin sized pizza and the ratio of cheese to tomato sauce is distributed evenly with a slightly cheesier taste than tomato.

But the fact of the matter is the quality of the cheese and dough is not up to par. The pizza resonates of low quality mozzarella cheese and poor quality bread. I've been eating here on and off for many years and the quality of the product has deteriorated. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless they wanted to "try that place that they heard of on social media or from a friend who ate here 20 years ago. it's just not worth it. They are better pizza places in the Bronx (Circle, Yankee Pizza, Ernie's, Tony's on Throggs Neck, Pugsley Pizza)z If the owner were able to improve on the pizza by incorporating better quality ingredients, I would definitely give it a shot again. I wouldn't even mind if they charged seven dollars a slice for that mammoth slice because it is very very big. But in its current incarnation, I would have to pass on a second round. It's just not worth the money because the taste and quality of the slice is so poor. What happened?!??
