I've never been here but driven by a ton and always wondered what was in there and now I know, a classic dive bar! There is shuffle board and a Dj area, casino games and pull tabs. Weekend karaoke at Full House can be a lot of fun. Other than that, that's not much more to write about. The Full House is a divey-dive bar. Drink options are pretty much limited to yellow beer and well liquor. Plenty of space to sprawl out, plus bar games like darts, shuffleboard, etc. There's a huge Huskers theme going on, so it could be a fine place to watch a game in the fall. And if you're into piss troughs, well, they have one of those too in men's room if you're into crossing streams and such. read more

Full house gets me every few times I cruise Benson. Located a block off the strip it looks unassuming. The big red N on the side lets you know this place might get crazy on Saturdays in fall. A bit of sport feel inside with the art on the walls and embossed tables. Fast, friendly service. Good mixed drinks. Karaoke is what usually takes the top spot. We'd read for various online reviews warnings about parking so we parked on the street a block south. This was a really good neighborhood dive bar. It was an inviting, relaxing environment and the people were friendly. Drinks were inexpensive, too. This was our 81st bar on this weeklong trip, yet it was the first place where someone asked me what I was doing when I started taking pictures. If you go to some trendy bar in the Old Market or out in West Omaha, you're going to see tons of pretentiousness. If you go to the Full House Bar, you won't see an ounce of it. You gotta love that. If you're into Karaoke, you won't have to be nervous about being the worst singer of the night. I've seen some abysmal singing there, so odds are that there will be someone worse than you. The DJ practices "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all", so you're going to get a good review no matter how crappy you might actually be. That's just good old Midwestern manners! You don't find that on the coasts, I'll bet. read more

The Full House is not a bar themed after the 1980s sitcom of the same name, which starred John Stamos and Bog Saget. Initially, I was disappointed about that, but there are a lot of positive things about the bar once you get past the fact that there's no sign of the Olsen twins. Karaoke here is the way it used to be before American Idol ruined it for everyone. Drunk people singing bad, bad songs very badly, which is I think what the literal translation of karaoke means in English. The place is very divey but is known for its karaoke which the bachelorette party I was with took advantage of by belting out some backstreet boys (you are welcome patrons of full house). It's as good as it gets for old fashioned "home folk" atmosphere - maybe a dive in the minds of the preppy set &/or the yuppies, certainly rough around the edges for language, amenities, etc...but it is my favorite place these days - nothing phony or uppitty - friendly staff, good-time karaoke ranging from great to awful and and all in between - and everyone has fun! Don't worry about parking in the lot - just don't park in the Full House lot & go elsewhere to drink...the tow warning is real (as it SHOULD be). Just off the main drag in Benson, the Full House is a classic working mans (or woman's) bar. It's a dive and that's a positive. While it's not somewhere I frequent, I'm usually here for a pub crawl once or twice a year. Don't expect a long list of craft brews here. If you want a beer, order a domestic and like it or order up a mixed drink and a shot. The vibe has always been friendly whenever I stop in. This bar is horrible they proffitoer on getting cars towed out of there lot even if you are a customer and continue on to other bars. They are erroding the continuity of Benson as an up and coming place to hang out in Omaha by being the equivillant to parking Gestapo. Other business allow you to park in their areas and do not have secret underhanded deals with towing companys to profateer of parking. Yes this may be a good dive bar with good prices however when you partcicpate in these shady underhanded paractices you have erroded you're ethics as a legit business and have earned you're 1 star rating proudly. read more

If you are looking for a rundown bar with rundown customers, drunk bartenders. People being way over served. The slowest keno writers ever. And horrible repetitive karoake. The this is the bar for you. You can't even play darts because the floor is uneven. When we went the bartender actually pulled out his keno ticket and checked it before waiting on us. The Full House lounge is home to many characters. It is a wonderful place to have an original experience that is safe, as I have never felt insulted or judged by the dedicated regulars. My friends and I are young and hip, but for some reason we bypass the other Benson stops every Friday for a little Full House Fridays. The place is a time capsule, representing a different time. A mecca among some of the best dive bars I've been to! I love how friendly the people are here and the karaoke on prime weekend nights rocks with a large book of tunes! Try out the fried food, I did and it was greasy and delicious. Reminiscent of the breaded mushrooms and cheese balls that are still a staple in my small home town cafe/diner. They've got shuffle board and pool, darts and pull tabs, and some amazing people watching! Make sure and stay after the karaoke ends once to see the locals bust a move or join in! No one is judging! Not one angry one in the bunch but a few drinking away their sorrows with a bucket of cold ones. This place is horrible. The bar tender was nice though when one of the apparent "employees" off duty wanted to start a fight over personal reasons that had nothing to do with my visit to the bar, there was little "Dunn" about the situation. I told the guy to get out if my face and that this was not the time or place. So what did he do? Followed me down the street like a baby and continued to harass and pick a fight. Lucky the bar patrons next door had more sense on how to break up a conflict. I gave the dbag my address and told him thats the place, anytime. Coward didnt come back up his mouth, pretty sure he knows what will happen to him. On another notethere parking sucks and they like to tow patrons of thier own bar. This place gets a bad rep in benson, and After hearing people talk shit about it for years, we finally went in one night just to see what it was all about, and we ended up having a blast. We also Ended up going back the following weekend. You gotta be ready for an adventure at this place. I would probably end my night there, not start out there. And you have to like (or at least be able to tolerate) karaoke. This place is serious about their karaoke. They have a stage for you to climb up and sing on and everything! But the audience is super kind, and everybody sings along, and there is a verrrryyyyy diverse crowd. Lots of old people, and bikers. but they have always been cool to me. Even when i sang Prince. I drank vodka sodas all night, and did shots, and my tab was like $13. So there's that. Just watch where you park! The towing there is no joke. Read street signs carefully. read more

This is an interesting bar. I've been here a couple times now. When I'm going out in benson it's certainly not on my list of bars I have to go to. It's great for karaoke, which is why we go there. The crowd is very diverse, but it all works out together to make it a fun place to visit. Last night I was a little disturbed by the bartender however. I ordered a drink and didn't want to keep my tab open and as soon as I told her I didn't want to open a tab she got very snappy and told me she wouldn't run my card again so that better be the only drink I want. Okay whatever, I didn't really care, she could have just been a little nicer. The part that disturbed me was when I noticed she had already ran my card and she was doing other things for other customers and I still hadn't gotten my card back for a while, when she finally remembered she came over to me and pulled it out of her bra. Okay, I'm sorry but that's really gross. Probably shouldn't go around putting customers cards in your sweaty boobs. Anyway, I'll probably be back eventually. If someone asked me what bars to go to in benson though this wouldn't make the list. I might mention it to them but I wouldn't recommend it exactly. read more

Wife and I were Christmas shopping and decided to take a break and have a drink. My wife wanted a Guiness and the lady tending bar went and found some in the basement I think. I drank some cheap tastey american lager. Anyways everyone was friendly and we sat with A long white bearded fellow at the bar and then his buddy came in. Not sure but I think the friend maybe was an owner or something, Talked football and had some good conversation and they ended up talking us into staying a little while longer and they bought us a couple more beers. Had some wings that were reasonably priced. Honestly this is the kind of bar I wish I had down the street from my home. I plan to make it back and my wife says she wants to go up and watch a husker game there. Great, neighborhood tavern. read more

There is literally nothing good to say about this bar. If you aren't a regular expect to be treated like crap. They will also probably tow your car so if you go there park somewhere besides their parking lot. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and honestly I feel they give Benson a horrible reputation. My favorite Omaha Dive. It gets five stars as a dive bar. Cheap drinks, great service, fun crowds. Their is karaoke, shuffleboard, pool, and more. It is so casual and non judgmental which is an anomaly in Omaha. You don't need to wear black classy clothes, or have a handlebar mustache and ironic t-shirt to fit in. Come as you are, drink til close, and stumble home. I can't say it enough, I've always had a blast here! Drinks are the strongest, largest, and cheapest we've found so great if you're out to get a bit rowdy. read more

If you are going to this dive bar, you better bring cash and pay as you go. They take credit cards but will try to over charge you and say it was an accident. We ordered three whiskey cokes and one straight diet coke for our driver. She asked what type of whiskey and we just said the bottom well whiskey. At the end of the night our bill came and it was $20 for three drinks. The waitress said the drinks were $3.75 a piece. That math doesn't add up. We started to complain and the guy next to us said he had four drinks and his credit card tab was $30. Check your tab before you leave. read more
