I would only recommend this spot if you are interested in a quick drink before heading out. I went on an early Friday evening and the place was empty. I learned the best times would be around 9PM on a weekday for karaoke night. The location was clean and spacious inside. Now parking downtown Omaha is really hard so you are lucky to find a good spot close the location you would be attending. Drinks at this place were not my favorite. What a place! The karaoke is great. Good sound and mix. However, this is the only place I've been where the KJ doesn't zipper in newcomers with repeat singers. So if you show up, you could wait 2 hours while the same handful of people perform 3-5 times in different combos. Which gets really old. I saw people leave bc of this and that is less bar sales. Anyway, get there early or prepare to wait more than a while. But it's great if you have the time and love karaoke Drinks are well priced and well poured. Not too stiff, but it not trying to short pour. Plastic cups only which ...... :( Clean bathrooms And the kitchen being open late is a huge plus!! My wife and I stopped in here after a show @ The Holland Center. We came here after checking out some places in that center commons area and they all wanted a cover charge when nothing was going on! So we cross the street to Moe and Curlys, no cover, and were able to sit right @ the Bar. Now it was around 11pm so the place was pretty busy and they actually had Karoke going too! So basically drink with entertainment haha! The bartender girl was friendly to us probably because we were not hammered like everyone else. The main interior is pretty tall with stairs to a second level and a balcony overlooking the street but i did not venture up there. So you can imagine it could get loud and echo pretty good with the music cranked up. Like being in a hotel pool room with a bunch of kids going crazy. We stopped in for a drink and karoake. On a Friday, the wait was over an hour so we didnt stick around much longer. We enjoyed the top floor and balcony. The only negative I would say is the bartender upstairs, long blonde hair and stout, he was pretty rude to my whole family however I can imagine he was busy. Sooo there was a hair in my water, unfortunately, but hey it happens so I didn't make it that big of a factor in my review. The food is always good, tried the spinach artichoke dip and it was delicious, one of the best I have tried! The burger is good, the bread could be toasted and it would be better! The sweet potato fries are also yummy, although some were a little undercooked. I like this place for lunchtime, there's no wait time and it's very quiet. It was only me and another table. First time in. As we walked in a three stooges song came on which was neat. The place is super neat with a great bar and second floor that overlooks the main floor. Giant TVs hang on the wall for both floors to view at the same time. We were there early so no one there yet but there was a disconnect between 7 customers and 3 bartenders. I was in town for a business trip and we decided to stop in for a couple cocktails. One of the members of our group heard there was a speak easy style bar here so we went over to explore. When you first walk in, first impression was a decent bar. They feature karaoke, or at least they were this night. The staff was friendly and pointed us to the kitchen if we wanted the speakeasy. We made our way up some stairs, through the kitchen and found a back door and knocked on it. The door opened and we stepped back into time to prohibition. Nice little swanky style bar, not very large and featured crafted cocktails and bar flare. It's worth a try to stop in and experience something a little different in the bar scene. read more

Horrible. Takes advantage of patrons. They promised I'd complete their karaoke slots at 2am and I spent extra money on more food and drinks to wait for that time slot. I don't get out often so it was worth the money. According to them today 6/27/21 at 3:34 am Central I am too intoxicated to type this. At the end of that slot, I was told they couldn't fit me in, despite Drew admitting he had extra time before 2 am and had told me so false pretenses. He had promised me under those conditions I'd be last to sing at 2 am central. They clearly take advantage of patrons assuming you'll be too drunk to notice. Good luck with that. Not everyone is unable to comprehend basic logic after multiple drinks. I was also told at 1:30 am I could get another vodka and red bull but they refused after I waited 1.5 hrs. Just because half your patrons are incomprehensible doesn't mean I am. Good food that isn't worth the bad treatment. Also, they threatened to call the police simply because I said they mislead their customers and wanted an explanation for their bull$hit, so no problem, I called them first. Went to this place before the Luke Combs concert across the street. Had a tough time finding anywhere that had seating nearby. We stumble into this place and managed to find a place to sit in here. Was very impressed with the service and their event menu. You can tell they have special events down to a T. Food came out hot, fresh, and was surprisingly pretty good. Drinks were decent. Got in to town at 12:30 am. Only place open (til 2am on Sat) close to hotel. Downstairs is loud with plastic cup beer. Wanted a bourbon and coke....have to go upstairs to the speak easy. There was a guy in a red sweater wearing a bullet proof vest that said security on it. He seemed to be antagonistic and creating problems that weren't. We go to the the speakeasy, very quiet, generally nice. The bartender was obnoxious. After being ignored for 10 minutes...no Gentleman Jack, ...can't have with soda...only neat or with ice. We sit at a two person table (I'm in my 50's, gentlemen with me in his forties, both family guys, clean cut) minding our own business. After two bourbons the "security" guy comes over and starts harassing us as we are sipping on a water after last call (been there about an hour). Weird place.....I travel a lot (the guy I was with also does) and neither of us have never been treated like that. read more

Well, well, well. I love this place. Every time I come here, I feel at ease. Like literately, all of life's trials and tribulations fade away at this bar as I drink my rolling rock listening to sauced college students butcher Whitney Houston songs. There are a few good singers who have came through though. If Kevin is working, you are going to have fun. Sneak up the stairs to take a leak and a few steps down you will stumble into Howard and Fine, their speakeasy bar. Deon is the master of cocktails and can whip some killer drinks up. So I'm a roadie and end up in places near are as and stadiums. I always yelp and Google karaoke but all I found was The Tavern on Monday. We went and it was fun. With no options for Tuesday we ended up at The Dugout. The bartender there told me about Moe and Curly's next door. They had just opened 4 weeks earlier so thats how we missed them. It was too late to eat but we karaoked until closing. The choices were great and the sound system was excellent. Most of the staff was family and they couldn't have been nicer. I sang myself hoarse. I keep a list in my phone of all the places to go back to and Moe and Curly's is one of them. It's right across from the Marriot too. read more
