Found this place on a whim thru Yelp and was really happy with our choice to come here. Seated immediately and all of the staff was really attentive. Ordered an Alaskan roll- delicious, rainbow roll-also delicious, miso soup- SO GOOD and that's coming from someone that doesn't like miso soup so much. The sushi pieces however, were SO GOOD. Salmon, albacore, and the yellowtail were all so fresh and so tasty, but the seared tuna... another level of delicious. The decor was also so cute! fujiya is on one of the streets currently closed in burbank to allow businesses to have outdoor seating available and i can't recommend going enough. a nice and delicious meal outside in the california summer at night was just what the doctor ordered (no pun intended). there are probably a dozen tables outside available for seating all under umbrellas and shade tucked into downtown burbank. they took every precaution - scrubbing down tables and sanitizing them between guests - and everyone was respectful and wore a mask. aside from that - the food was phenomenal. i couldn't have been more pleased. they have a really amazing variety of rolls that are original to this restaurant not just the typical rolls most spots have and the quality of the fish was really impressive - especially for the price. it's not the cheapest in town but when it comes to quality, price, and the size of the rolls - i will 1000% be coming back here. remember to be kind and patient with your servers - as one of the few spots open late for outdoor dining they can be pretty busy but we felt totally attended to the entire time despite every table being full an hour before closing. such a great experience and excited to come back again. read more

Unfortunately Gavin Newsome be killing everyone's dreams of eating indoors AGAIN so we went with the takeout route & believe me when I say we were not disappointed. Delicious rolls as always . It's never the same as eating in but our rolls were fresh & the baked rolls were still warm when we got home due to the great way they pack their rolls in foil. I tried Salmon Belly for the first time & wow it was delicious. Another great meal for very satisfied regulars at this point. The food was excellent but the staff was careless. I have a gluten allergy. I've had it for years. For the first time in years, I had a reaction. I was in town for one night and met a friend for dinner Saturday night. I was clear with my server that I needed a gluten free meal. Usually servers will guide me through the menu or at least confirm what I can or can't eat. They're up front if all I can have is a salad. I don't usually have to worry about my allergies. I ordered the teriyaki chicken dinner and some rolls that I shared with my friend. I gave her the gyoza and tempura. By 5 the next morning I woke up dizzy with vomiting and diarrhea. I was completely incapacitated and had to extend my stay to the next day. My $85 dinner ended up costing an additional $230 for another day of pedialyte, bananas and water at the Holiday Inn. I'm lucky that I didn't need an epi-pen or ER visit. The manager was willing to refund my order to make it right, but I caution you if you have allergies. read more

Food was ok.. but the service was a mess. I ordered the diablo roll... I did not know it had this fiery hot red sauce on top and had to scrap it off. The kitchen completely forgot to make my boyfriends order. The whole restaurant was served before he was. (Four other tables of two..) they said the kitchen was overwhelmed with orders... hummmm ... in the end they took off the roll that they forgot to make and were polite about it.
