Good idea to make reservations if it's on the weekend! The service was good . They bring you delicious bread and oil while your waiting for your meal; I could of gotten full off this easily. We ordered the bacon wrapped scallops as an appetizer; omg they were amazing! Scallops so delicate ; the bacon added a nice crispy texture. Bacon and scallops go so well together. I ordered the fettuccine and spinach pasta with blackened shrimp as my entree... so freaking good. Plenty of shrimp ; definitely not skimpy. The sauce was amazing! The whole meal was so good; I could of licked my plate after....very filling. My other half ordered the chicken tequila fettuccine with also shrimp. He said it was good. Tried this place out for my mother in laws birthday, and was pleasantly surprised! I saw mixed reviews, but came in with an open mind. I have to say the filet mignon was delicious! My husband and I had the Fugazzis intimate dinner for two it was a lot of food! It started off with the a sampler appetizer. My favorite from the sampler was the sweet potato fries paired with what I believe was cilantro aioli was so good! We were both served a cesar salad each, and then came the filet. It was very tender perfectly cooked medium. The filet came with a side of pasta that had a light butter sauce, veggies, and grilled shrimp. Last but not least we got dessert, and it was delicious amazing cheesecake to share. All this food only $77. For the quality of food this was a steal for me the filet alone is around $30. Pretty sad I didn't snap a photo, but I just couldn't wait to dig in! This place was good. We had a big party of about 8 and they all loved their meals. I went ahead with the Top Sirloin. I will say this is my first time having this steak with this flavor so I do believe with this order you may have to have the pallet for it. But it is good. Everything was served hot and cooked as requested. The only issue that we had here was two of the guests which included me did not get the dessert we requested when we wanted it. The Waitress had to be reminded. But I do not ping that on them to hard for it was a busy day and we were a pretty big table. I paid extra for shrimp to be added to my pasta and it did not have one single shrimp in it. All they did was lie and say they did put the shrimp in it. Decided to stop in here while visiting Visalia, and we can honestly say we weren't disappointed. The restaurant is a bit more upscale for sure, but we were seated quickly by the host. Service was okay- our waiter seemed to be preoccupied but it wasn't bad. The food was good- we didn't get any pictures, we were just caught in conversation. We ordered the spicy chicken pasta (and it is spicy, so beware), the carbonara (which was more like fettuccine but delicious), the fettuccine (which wasn't like fettuccine but still yummy and flavors were great) as well as a classic pepperoni pizza as an appetizer. As mentioned, everything tasted delicious. For dessert we ordered the xango (cinnamon sugar fried pastry stuffed with cheesecake filling and topped with vanilla ice cream) and the mud puddle chocolate cake (more like lava cake with ice cream). Went there for my birthday dinner last week. They accommodated our large party of 11, and the waitress who took care of dinner service was great. We did have to wait some time for our first round of drinks, but it's probably because they had limited help (we saw only one bar tender when we arrived). Drinks are always impressive and delicious. On another note, a few of us arrived about 15 minutes prior to their happy hour ending and our reservation set for 6. At the time, we went and asked for a drink at the bar. The bar tender made it a point to say we could only qualify for happy hour service if we were either at the bar or in their lounge area (which, we clearly were). We felt like we were inconveniencing her, and did not feel exactly welcomed. When our food arrived, my chicken was dry and a few dishes were heavily salted. Overall, we were not impressed with the food. I've always loved Fugazzi's, but this was not the best visit and hope it was just an off-night. Fugazzis has been our long time dinner place downtown Visalia. It continues to offer great value, excellent taste and consistency. We stopped by tonight and sat at the bar. The drinks are on par with anyplace you'd try. Our bartender even customized a drink to our idea. They have several excellent wines available by the glass including Justin and Rombauer. We had apps. For the most part, the food is great. Steaks are cooked perfectly. Just wish they had more options on vegetables for people on low carb or Keto. This last time I tried the Filet and Prawns , what I got was a perfectly cooked filet and 3 shrimp. Not Prawns.. so that is misleading. They don't have any low carb drinks. No zero sugar drinks at all. Which is kind of sad if you think how many people are low carb or Keto and they have no options. All in all the food is good, staff is very friendly, atmosphere is nice. Marissa at the bar could not have been more unhelpful, as all she could tell me was that he was busy. She was the person that told me to come back at 5 PM when I originally came in at 4:15 PM to get information about renting the private room. It always amazes me when you get really bad. COVID-19 phase: All of the workers are masked. This place has a different set up. I ordered on the GrubHub app through Yelp. It was super easy! TY Yelp! I ordered the California Bistro sandwich and they have a place where you can put notes in and I put no mayo and to please add jalapenos. I paid for through the app and went to go get it a few minutes later. I walked into the restaurant and I told a worker I made an order and was there to pick it up, The workers were very nice and showed me that I needed to go to the side of the restaurant. They have a specific place for pick up orders. I went there and a worker came up to me and asked my name. I gave it and my order was brought. The worker was very nice and wished me a good day as well. OMG! The sandwich was amazingly delicious! Tender meat and fresh veggies! Great jalapeños! Great Italian foods with good quality ingredients. Chicken piccata was excellent. The beef stroganoff was not that I expected; not the classic or traditional. They used tomato instead which altered the real flavor of the stroganoff. Made a reservation for 5pm originally, had to call to say we needed our scheduled time for 6pm instead and was helped by a friendly man over the phone. Showed up and we were seated promptly. A young gal took our drink orders and instead of my Georgia Peach I was given a Pom-marita. No prob since it was yummy. They did being out the Georgia Peach drink and it was not too chilled. On to the food, we ordered the Brussels sprouts appetizer and then ordered the Shrimp Louisiana and Al Pasta Tortellini. I took a bite of my Louisiana shrimp and almost choked with all of the "blackened" seasoning this shrimp had. The noodles were cooked too long and desperately needed salt! We had to ask for S&P just to make it bearable. My husband bit into one of his shrimps and said it tasted "off" and not fully cooked. He was not well after leaving this place. It was our sons birthday and this was his place of choice. I don't remember ever being let down at Fugazzi's like this.
