Can't quite deliver what the menu promises. The flavor is all there, but execution is lacking. I've tried this place twice now. Ordered the Thai chicken salad. The flavor of the meat and dressing was great, but it was a huge heap of iceberg lettuce, with like 5 little cubes of chicken. Tried the beef stroganoff. The flavor of the sauce and the steak itself were so rich and complex. However the noodles were carelessly cooked, all clumped together. And the steak was not fully cut, so it was like these chains of cubes of steak. Not really the elegance that the place is striving for. Good flavor but lots of room for improvement in the execution. Walked in on a busy Saturday night and was seated in less than five minutes The waitress came to the high top table we were at in the lounge and got our drink order right away, however the entire time we we're served by her she acted annoyed and had no personality or service skills whatsoever, minus 1/2 a star for her attitude and lack of personality or friendliness she also never came back to ask if we needed another drink I ordered a lemon drop and it had ice in it as well as a seed to a lemon on the rim of the glass, so 1/2 a star taken for the lack of detail to the cocktail We ordered Brussel sprouts appetizer and it was amazing. My husband got the chicken piccata and i the tortellini and they were 10/10 I appreciate when food comes out and it's steaming in temperature as it had just left the pan. We love coming to this restaurant to get away from work in the middle of the day. The service is usually quick and efficient. The prices are reasonable and the bread and garlic dipping sauce are so addictive. I always get the chipotle mango noodles, but am tempted to get one of their sandwich wraps the next time. I think the food is really good. My gripe is that they have 3 different prices. Their online menu shows one price, their "take out" menu at the take-out entrance shows another price, and what I was charged was different from both. Had to wait over 20 minutes to order, 40 minutes for food, never got a drink refill, when I asked for 2 boxes, I waited for her to bring them for 20 minutes, I finally gave up and went and got them from the bar, when she saw me do that she finally brought out check. Lunch was at 2, restaurant was not busy. Worst service I have ever gotten. When Mike first opened Fugazzis, he told me over and over and over again how much better his restaurant and catering services were than Cafe 225. I used him quite a bit. I purchased a half tray of bread and the dipping sauce that came with it was TINY!! And it was $55!!!!! What a total rip off. I tried to talk to Daniel about it, and have talked to him about other mistakes with catering orders in the past, but he is VERY SMUG and arrogant and could care less about service or portion sizes that make sense. For a half tray of bread, the sauce should have been twice what was provided. I will never, ever go back. Daniel thinks he is Bobby Flay. What a joke. Humble yourself, Daniel. Back when I was a kid, a rendition of this word meant the person was a FAKE, PHONY or FRAUD. Not so here. Fugazzi was no Fugazi. The food was awesome. The steak kabobs were perfectly cooked and had a nice crust and tasted great. The burnt Brussels sprouts were not very bitter and I sampled them multiple times. I got the lemon chicken Alfredo with capers. Wow. Perfectly pounded thin, cooked to nice tenderness and the sauce was velvety smooth albeit maybe a tad too thick. Met a friend here for lunch while visiting Visalia. They have outdoor seating available due to Covid, which was actually nice to sit outside and lunch. We picked the table to sit at and were greeted by our waiter with menus. It took him awhile to return back with water and take our order. Once he took our order he brought us fresh slices of bread with their house butter. We ordered the bacon wrapped scallops which were to die for and just melted in your mouth. We also ordered the steak Jalapeno popper salad which had no lettuce but nicely sliced pieces of cucumber marinated in what seemed like lime juice and oil. soo good and refreshing for a hot summer. Overall, we were happy with the food we ordered but were sadly disappointed with the customer service. Once we received our meals, the waiter forgot about us and re-filling our drinks. I almost choked on the steak and couldn't water it down because well I had no water. There are several Fugazzi locations throughout the central valley. The ice melted so quickly in our drinks and we were sweating during our dinner. If I could give zero stars I would! We just had dinner and it was 87 degrees in the restaurant. After sweating through our meal and seeing the staff sweat their bottoms off we asked to speak to the manager. The manager approached us and we asked what the deal was with the a/c she said it was out of her control! Poor thing the entire restaurant was sweating! You could hear complaints coming from every direction! The owner was on vacation and told the manager to call the A/c guy who wasn't available and was unable to fix it. The atmosphere here is perfect for date night or drinks with the girls. The lounge area by the bar is a relaxing place to be after work. The food is also aimed to please! They bring out DELICIOUS bread and dip to begin with. I ordered the spicy chicken chipotle pasta and couldn't stop eating! It's not really spicy, but the flavor is delicious! The spicy chicken wrap is also the perfect dish for lunch! The kids chicken plate was also really good! So why 4 stars? Sadly the steak salad with jalapeño poppers was horrible. It's definitely not a salad. I saw the shocked look on our neighbors face when they brought it out. It's a cold lemony steak topped with chopped cucumber and tomato... NO Lettuce! Avoid this dish at all costs! The service was blonde, friendly, and sadly pretty slow.
