I've been here 3 times and the service and food are really great! Also, it is clean and well maintained! The menus are clean. I hate restaurants that don't take care of the floors and furniture and menus. That means they aren't looking at the details. It seems from other reviewers that service is slow when it is busy. OK I don't go during peak season. This is much better than the Mexican place in Copper Creek that we went to recently. read more

Come here at least twice a year and is by far the best Mexican place in Winter Park! We clean carpets for vacation homes in Fraser and this is our favorite place to stop. Everything is so flavorful and everyone is so friendly. read more

Yum. I usually get the Carne Asada plate. Mondays are cheap margarita days. Chips, service and atmosphere are great. Go here!

Food is good but service definitely lacked. Waitress was nice but not attentive. Struggled to get a chip and drink refill while waiting 45 MINUTES to finally revive our food. Everyone's dishes were decent but not worth the wait, and was told they ran out of flower tortillas when asking for more. Lucky to be the first restaurant when leaving Frazer Tubing and Colorado Adventure Park. read more

Damn, this town needs some restaurants...I ate at a Pizza Hut out of sheer desperation! Azteca has good salsa and pico...hot chips and so-so entrees. I had Pork Carnitas that were decent. So, for the area I would give it 3 stars....but overall it's a solid 2. read more

One of our fav Mexican restaurants to eat...service is nice and fast! Huge menu lots to choose from. Haven't a bad meal yet!!

It was right outside our hotel and after a long drive we were looking for a quick dinner, Azteca was perfect. Everyone was kind and we were out in less than an hour. I got the carne asada and it was full of flavor. Great atmosphere. read more

Everything is fantastic here. Margaritas, chips & salsa, and everything we've tried on the menu. We are loyal customers that eat here 2x a month for the past 4 years! One of the best restaurants around. read more

Our family loved it. Enough variety for everyone. Great food, great service. Chile con queso was everyone's favorite.

This is the perfect place to visit when you are hungry. The portions are large, and upon being seated you will be greeted with chips, salsa and homemade pico that looks and tastes more like a spicy slaw. The service was also fast and friendly. Absolutely no complaints. The food itself was average-not especially flavorful or interesting, but the menu was HUGE, and in the restaurants defense, I ordered fajitas, which are not always the most flavorful. Our whole party of 4 left full and with plenty of leftovers, and the bill was very reasonably priced. read more

Delicious food and extremely generous portions at great prices! My husband and I ordered a giant chicken burrito to share. I wasn't expecting it to be GIANT. The sauce was really tasty. My son had the grilled chicken with veggies burrito. He didn't like the mushroom, but I thought the grilled mushroom was very tasty. There were nine people in our party and this place is very affordable. The service was good and the food arrived quickly. read more

Heading home from Grand Lake, my wife and I stopped into Aztecta Mexican restaurant in Fraser. We had heard about this chain from some employees at Tequilas, so finally we broke up our drive and popped in. It is an unassuming place, with a patio a small bar area and a larger dinning area than expected. Great flavor on their salsa and their spicy slaw is more refined than (Not chunky-style) than other places. The food was great, they had a nice lunch menu (the regular menu is gigantic) and the grilled jalapeños were terrific. We tried the house margs on the rocks, no salt. They came out perfect. The green chile was flavorful, the burrito was massive and the flavors were great. Wonderful service, and a new chain will soon open up in Granby. They also have locations in Idaho Springs and in Louisville under the name "Casa Alegre". We will be heading to Louisville to try their sister property. When in Fraser, give it a try. read more

Nice dinner and good service. The complimentary chips and salsa were warm and spicy, We shared nachos only they forgot the jalapeños. There was plenty of meat, but we wined for more beans. Try the place. It is good. read more

This place is odd. Cute outside, sparse inside. Service was odd. Food was odd. Even a drink I ordered seemed odd. Our food took nearly an hour and came out with some burnt, others cold, none great. read more

This is sort of a hole-in-the-wall restaurant in Fraser, CO (right outside downtown Winter Park). It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. Basically like every other "ok" Mexican restaurant. Their chips and salsa were actually pretty good. I had a shredded beef Azteca burrito...but it was actually ground beef. It tasted fine, but I was actually expecting shredded beef. read more

Location: Winter Park. Not a bad restaurant. The waitress was real nice. Def recommend the carne asada and a side of whole grilled jalapenos. This place could be better if they would make homeade corn & flour tortillas. read more

We had a late lunch with the kids and it was all fantastic. Enchilada combinations came hot, seasoned and very tasty. Chips and salsa to start. Salsa is potent and comes with a side of slaw. I was silly enough to think that the slaw would help with the heat. No Sir! It packed a serious punch which I actually enjoyed. The kids had taco/enchilada combos. They loved it. We had Enchilada Combos with Beef, Chicken and Cheese. So good that we actually ordered another portion and shared. The server was very nice and accommodating. We had a few requests that were not easy to accommodate, but he quickly gave us alternatives from the vast menu. Margaritas are huge and very good! read more

Good food, but on the mild side. If you like a little heat I would advise asking for it. Their crispy version of chile rellenos were really good and I would go back just for those. A major plus is the cleanliness of the entire place, including the restrooms. Nothing special on service but I think we kept them from closing by arriving just before closing time on an otherwise dead night. They have gone to great lengths on some of the decor and on personalizing each table with apparently hand-cut graphics of their logo. read more

The service is less than friendly, bordering on rude. The food is mediocre. Too many flies, in fact, the only flies I saw during my stay in Fraser were at Azteca. I kept having to wave my hand over the table to keep them away and I'm pretty sure the kitchen had even more flies, that weren't being waved away. read more

We had an excellent dinner here. The food is expertly prepared, service was quick and personable, the location is very homey and comfortable. The chips and salsa also come with a side of slaw/pico which is unusual and good. The Mrs. said the margarita was perfect. The tab for a full meal for two with drinks was in the mid $30s. read more

This place was literally right down the street from our air b&b.. so we were like awesome! I ordered the pozole & my hubs ordered this monster burrito with beef cooked in a red sauce inside. Both unfortunately lacked flavor.. like not enough spices! Their gold margarita was bomb though!! read more

Great margs, homemade tequila, and amazing food. Super friendly staff. Simply the best.

What a lovely place to grab a meal with friends or family! The portions are huge, making it a bang for your buck, with lots of healthy and vegetarian/vegan options! Enjoyed the vegetable fajitas and my aunt and uncle both loved the enchiladas. Would love to come back in the future! read more

This place is a joke. We showed up for dinner and were told they were out of food. Um what? Clearly they were lying and just didn't want to serve anymore people as it was an hour till closing time. Unless they served the entire place (other people were eating) and then ran out of everything on the menu... read more

First off I've never written a review once in my life and I've never felt inclined to do so but I am so pissed off at this restaurant that I had to write a review. The service was terrible to start and the staff seemed overwhelmed by the amount of people there. It took forever for the food to come out and it tasted like shit. Not only that I have a deathly allergy to peanuts and I've read the menu 3 times front too back and nowhere does it fucking say that peanuts are in the fucking special sauce. Once I asked to make sure I wasn't just hallucinating and freaking myself out they said it did contain peanuts. Again I'd like to say nowhere in the menu does it even say they use peanuts and the only reason why I went to this shitty restaurant was Bc pepas fish tacos specified in their menu not to come they if you have a peanut allergy which made me even more pissed off but props to pepas. Once I started hiving up and my lips looked like a damn pufferfish all I got was the most nonchalant sorry and they even made me pay for the fucking peanut enchiladas and didn't say anything after that. Just stared at me as my reaction was seriously intensifying to where I had to leave the restaurant and had anaphylaxis (throwing up Bc of the reaction causing your throat and nose to close up so you can't breathe) because of the peanuts which are not mentioned anywhere in the menu. Whoever runs this shithole is a CUNT and has a nice ER bill coming their way! Too bad it makes me even put a star Bc it should be 0. IF YOU HAVE A NUT ALLERGY OR ANYONE IN YOUR PARTY DOES I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT COMING HERE. The food is shit anyways. read more

Love Azteca, fun, friendly staff and DELICIOUS food. I always have something different I'm always impressed Great staff and great flavors.

Superb service and delicious food. They had options to dine inside (6 ft apart) and outdoors. I didn't feel comfortable sitting inside so the waitress was super accommodating by allowing us to order food ahead of time and then wait for a table. Everyone's food was delicious. My husband got carne asada which was on point. I got chicken mole which was superb and a huge portion. Kids got quesadillas, tacos and tostada la grande and everyone loved their food. We took home 4 doggy bags because it was so much food. Definitely would go back! read more

Excellent food. Tables are safely spaced. The sangria was amazing. Steak fajitas were delicious. The chips and salsa brought to the table were also very tasty. Our service was very good. read more

Me and My family attended on Sunday 01/10/21 right after snow tubing and of course we were all looking for some good Mexican food. However, we all were disappointment with everything. To begin with the service was not great it took about 30 minutes to get our drinks, when i asked for a side of guac and more chips it took another 15 minutes. When asked our server if we can get more drinks he responded with "I will get it when I can". We got our food almost an hour and a half later and it was not good at all the beans tasted bad and to top it off my daughter didn't get her plate granted they removed that from our bill but my daughter had to eat off mine and her dads plate (NOT GOOD AT ALL) definitely not going back! Its not worth the money and time read more

This place is awesome! A staple for our family with fast takeout that doesn't get mushy on the way home. Such good service and incredible food 10/10 recommend read more

Best queso in town. Margaritas were weak, but the flavor was delicious. I ordered chicken fajitas, the flavor of the chicken was ok, but the $17 price tag seemed a bit high for the minimal amount of chicken on the plate. There were only two servers for the restaurant, but they were both fast and efficient and the food came out quickly. read more

Good queso blanco, kids scarfed cheap sides of taco and enchilada, nice crispy relleno and good marg. Server was nice and attentive!

Great food! Wonderful service from Alberto and Melissa! Delicious marg! Highly recommend!

Great restaurant just up the road from downtown Winter Park. The food was delicious, and the wait staff super attentive. Go early, as they get very busy very quickly close to the dinner hour. Google maps took us to the wrong location first. I'm thinking they relocated. They are now just across Hwy 40 from the Safeway. - easy to find. We will definitely be back on our next ski trip! read more

So good! I was craving Mexican food, and this definitely hit the spot. Salsa, queso, and meat all had excellent flavor. Friendly service too! Definitely look forward to eating here again! read more

Fuego Azteca - Mexican Near Me - Fraser, Colorado

Excellent and tasty. Great for those large Mexican cravings. I ordered the Steak Quesadilla and it was really good. My dad ordered the Chili Colorado and he said that was excellent. Good prices and speedy service. A definite two thumbs up from me. read more

Tiny spot. Hotter than normal salsa which I liked. Nice people Had been recommended by locals. Good call. read more

Absolutely Awesome, is the best way to describe the food, service and prices. I had the Veggie burrito on the lighter side menu and it was fabulous. I've never had anything like it or as flavorful. Also saved room for their fried ice cream which was a perfect ending to a great meal. The server never lost focus on my simple 2 top party even as she was dealing with a few other table including a 15 top party. Very impressive and excellent personal service. read more
