One of the few breakfast places open in the Winter Park village. I had the chorizo breakfast burrito and my friend had the black bean breakfast burrito. They had a huge salsa bar with lots of options including cilantro, pickled onions that were a little bit spicy, cucumbers, avocado sauce. I was surprised at how well my burrito held up with unwrapping it and putting several salsas on it. There were nice big chunks of potato in the burrito but not a ton of potatoes like some breakfast burritos. And then it sealed right back up and was easy to eat. Pictures don't do the food here justice. I wish I had a bigger tummy so I could try everything on the menu twice. The mulita was to die for. They don't go light on the meat either. The mulita was stuffed with crispy but melty cheese, soft and juicy barbacoa meat l, and the best beef dipping broth I've ever tasted. Tip 2: Easy access for lunch or apres while skiing via the Corridor (dump off before the Cab and then walk down to to Gondo after lunch). New for the 20/21 season. Mexacali Taco is located in the Village at Winter Park Ski Resort. They took over BackBowl Soup Company's location. This is a great place to visit if you are in the mood for street tacos or Mexican food when skiing. I loved the salsa bar and having so many choices of salsa and toppings for the tacos. It is self-serve which didn't feel Covid Friendly and during the ski season with so many tourists helping themselves to the serving spoons I felt uncomfortable. My recommendation would be to have the most popular pre-packaged and available on request or have sanitizer by the salsa bar for everyone to use. The carne asada quesadilla was pretty yummy but knowing it is the same owners as Azteca in Fraser and Granby I'll go there more since the portions are larger and less expensive. We enjoy Azteca in Fraser more. But hey, if you are craving a taco at the ski area this is a quick and good choice. read more

Such a yummy stop for amazing Mexican food. The owner was patient, kind and helpful while my friend and I ordered. I had the breakfast burrito and my friend had the street tacos. All of the ingredients were so fresh and tasted amazing. My friend and I ate every bite of our meal.They had a large salsa bar that was incredibly refreshing and delicious, it had so many different yummy options! We loved the cozy ambiance on the outdoor patio, the views were beautiful. The restaurant had the most gorgeous mural inside! All the employees were very hard working and at any given time I looked over, they were all cooking and cleaning up a storm.
