Great food, cocktails, and service in a very comfortable setting. My husband especially loved the Bulgogi ribs!

Had a good dinner at Idlewild Spirits Distillery - the food was pretty good and served-up in a low-key WP bar environment. They were busy, so the servers were getting a bit bogged-down. read more

What a nice find. But to find it you must walk around to the side/back and go down steps. It has a great vibe with cozy seating up front and then tables and chairs for dining. As is fitting, they have lots of barrels and the distilling is seen through the glass windows along the wall. We started off with ordering cocktails- I loved my Dreamsicle. Happily they sell it in cans to take home (not quite as good but close). My husband actually liked their single malt. On to the food: the wings are terrific. Smoked but just the right amount of smokiness. Soup of day was pozole and it was tasty. We also ordered wedge salad, French dip, the GOAT and plain mary Jane burgers. Favorites were the salad and burgers. Our waiter, Nick, was very nice. And service was great. Food and drinks were served in a timely manner. read more

I had the wings and ribs, while others in my group chose the soup and bread. They raved about the soup and based from the taste I had I would agree. The wings I chose were the dry rub. Absolutely fantastic! No dipping sauce needed they are great in their own! The ribs were tasty and very tender. The ambiance was rustic and casual. Very nice. My only critique would be that the water served at the table was room temperature. Great job! read more

I would give 10 stars if it was offered. My friend and I went during Happy Hour and left stuffed and satisfied. I had the shrimp coconut curry soup and the chicken curry lettuce wraps. My friend had the portobello mushroom burger with jam and goat cheese, and we shared the truffle fries. We assumed the plates would be smaller due to happy hour prices but they were very plentiful. And delicious ! I ended up taking my lettuce wraps home as I was too full. So the food is excellent but it is a distillery so now for the drink review. My friend was disappointed in her gin and lavender. It lacked favor and seemed watered down. My hisbicus vodka was good but nothing to rave about. Initially, we were planning to try their dessert drinks, but was too full so we plan to come back for those. We both highly recommend this establishment! read more

Absolutely blew away my expectations - You would think a burger is a burger but the Fun burger in particular - an excellent combination of flavors that left us wanting more. Excellent fries and the brussel sprout side (please dont tell anyone I enjoyed a vegatable) was tolerable (really good). Nice place kind of in a basement around the corner from the main drag but fun and cozy. Nice people. read more

This is a very lovely restaurant/distillery, it is in the lower level, out of the way of the other restaurants on the Main Street. Drinks: California dreamin' (special) - SO GOOD!!!! I have never had a drink containing moonshine that was so crisp and refreshing like this one. The specialty drinks are all made with the liquor that is made in house. Our server was great at answering all questions we had about the drinks and what made them special. We also tried the pineapple punch, this one was good but a little too sour for my liking. Starters: Brussel sprouts, literally the best ones I've had in a while. The game changer for them was the sweet chili sauce they had on top that gave them extra flavor. Main dish: The Goat Burger - raspberry puree, goat cheese crumbles and arugula, all on a smash burger with a toasted bun! It was so great, I loved every part about this burger, it was perfectly made and curated for a good bite every time. We got the sweet potato tots as a side with the house made ketchup, they were perfectly made with a crisp outside and warm inside. Dessert: rum cake and brownie, the cake was made with their made in house rum and had a nice strawberry sauce on top. The brownie could have been a little bigger as it was buried underneath a lot of ice cream and whipped cream but it was still very very good, the fudge they topped it with was so rich and delicious! Overall a great place if you are looking for a "nicer" dinner spot in the winter park area! read more

Food was so delicious that this spot deserved 5 stars! We had to come back twice in one trip! Quality is significant, food is really flavorful here!! The Fun Guy burger was savory, a favorite! Tried their special of the day, nachos. Queso had a smokey flavor to it! A bit of a longer wait time for cocktails and/or beer both times, so heads up! Wasn't super impressed by either of the cocktails I had. Tried the Orange Dreamscicle and Fuzzy Martini! Service was great both visits. 5 stars for the food alone. Wish there were more options for seating. Lots of tables. Only one area with a comfortable couch option. read more

I've found that breweries often have great food, and that definitely translates to this distillery! Each of the four people in my group chose something different and we all remarked how good it was. The ambience was great and the kids loved the "fireplace" (on a tv) in the bathroom. Drinks were great too. We will go back. read more

We had a great meal at Idlewild. We started with an old fashioned, the Brussels sprouts and the lettuce wraps. We loved them all. For dinner, we did the Rueben, the Cuban and the chicken sandwiches. You can't go wrong with any of those. Get the sweet potato tots as your side. The place is really cute and our server was good. read more

What a cool place with great music! We waited by the fireplace for our table. It was quite busy, but our server was prompt. All the food we ordered was delicious. The wings were a bit too crispy, but the BBQ and Buffalo sauces were fantastic. The burgers were great, served smash patty style, and you can also get a double patty. The fries were exceptional! Will definitely be back. read more

A Yelp search led us to this little gem. It's off the main road tucked behind and down a staircase. We didn't have a reservation and just wanted drinks. There wasn't a spot at a table or bar but they have a cozy little waiting area by the fireplace and the servers came to us. They have a cocktail menu, whiskey/rum menu, and a food menu. My partner sampled all the whiskey and the rum with a flight while I indulged in a Jack Rose as well as a Apple Butter Toddy. My partner didn't care for the single malt or the pineapple habanero extra he was given but he did enjoy the rest. The Jack rose had the perfect refreshing sweetness to it and the Apple Butter Toddy tasted exactly as it sounds. Perfect for any ski/snowboard trip. We had reservations elsewhere but the food looked delicious. I think the main dinning area could do with a little update as the furniture looked a little outdated. They have a prívate dinning room in the back that looked a little nicer for private events. The bathrooms were clean and while they did have high chairs, there were no changing tables in the restrooms even though there was ample space for one. I don't remember the total price for what we ordered but I do remember it being fair. I would come back and I would try the dinning experience next time. read more

AMAZING SPIRITS TASTING EXPERIENCE! We found this place during our recent Colorado trip for dinner and drinks, and what a wonderful experience we had :) I was impressed by its atmosphere as soon as we walked in - chill and warm. We were seated right away, and our server gave us an overview. Basically, I can pick my own flight, and each one is about 0.25oz for USD $1.00 to $1.50. I ordered the followings: - White Whiskey - Woodcutter's Bourbon - Rye Whiskey - Single Malt Whiskey - Rocky Mountain Gold (Rum) - Idlewild Vodka Single malt whiskey was my favorite (rich flavor with hints of smokiness), and the white whiskey was a pleasant surprise (smooth, balanced flavor): Food quality is quite high - definitely above average in the "pub food" category! Crispy Brussel Sprouts was freshly prepared - hot, crispy, and flavorful. Lamb Lollipops was good too - the lollipop part was a bit "gimmicky", but the lamb was tasty and the side salad made the dish well balanced. I'd certainly love to visit this place again (drinks for sure, and likely dinner too) when I'm in the area in the future. read more

The ambiance is great, as are the cocktails and spirits. Also, the crispy brussel sprouts were quite good. However, the service was totally lacking. Server came over 20 seconds after we sat down. After we said we needed a little more time, she left and didn't return for 20 minutes. Thanks, but I didn't need *that* much time. Then there was the rest of the food The wedge salad was drowning in dressing. The Philly and French dip we ordered were high school cafeteria quality meat. Seriously, Jersey Mike's Philly is like 10x better. I won't be going back for anything but drinks. read more

One of my favorite cocktail bars/distilleries in Colorado. I haven't tried the food, but the cocktails are very well-crafted and the menu always offers interesting, reasonably priced drinks. It's cozy inside and a great way to warm up on a cold night. It's been a bit since we've been up that way, but had to mention that the Earl Grey Old Fashioned and the Toasted S'More (hoping this one comes back) are some of my faves. read more

The food was very good- we loved the Brussels sprouts. I ordered the French Dip and it was delicious. My husband had their burger and he thought it was good. This was pretty good! Great drinks...good variety of alcohol and ambience. The flavored vodkas and gin were delicious!

Fabulous mules as well as homemade lemonade. Highly recommend! Seating outside and in with very kind servers.

Every time we go here we are blown away. Burgers are SO GOOD, service is friendly and incredible, and cocktails are inspired and fun! I don't want to hype this place up too much for fear of giving away this special spot. It's so cozy and intimate, yet not ritzy or posh. Will go here 10/10 times and when we can't, we order to-go and it's equally as good. read more

SO glad we found this place! Such a cool underground distillery vibe. This was the 3rd place we tried on a Spring Break Tuesday, the others had a 1.5 hour wait but we got seated right away here! The drinks were unique and tasted so good! For dinner we ordered about 8 appetizers for 6 people and it was perfect. Every appetizer was incredible, we had a hard time picking a favorite but it was either the Brussels, lettuce wraps, or truffle fries! Our waiter was super helpful and honest, and the service was so quick! Would definitely recommend this place! read more

Service is great, food is uninspired. Go for the drinks, skip the meal. Years ago I feel like the menu was way better.

Took one of the shuttle driver's suggestions for dinner and had dinner here. The entrance is one level down from the top row of shops. There are stairs to get down or you can walk around on the roadway. It was a cozy setting with dimmer lights than the stark illumination of fluorescent lighting. There is a nook by the faux fireplace with two sets of bench seating with barrel stools and low tables. She thought it would be easier to eat at the larger of the two so we moved as the other party were leaving. It was nice being in that niche as we had some privacy. Our server, Jordan, was attentive and friendly. So funny too. She started with an expresso martini which is vodka, coffee liqueur, frangelico, Irish cream, chocolate and nutmeg. I ordered an Idlewild Mule with idlewild vodka. It was delicious. She took a sip of mine and decided to get one after she finished her martini. Smooth and with vodka it was delicious. Appetizers were truffle fries with Parmesan and a roasted garlic truffle aioli. We also got the avocado bruschetta which is buttered crostini, avocado, tomatoes, fresh basil and a balsamic reduction drizzle. We both had the ahi yellowtail tuna poke which is sushi-grade yellowtail tuna, avocado, cucumber, wasabi tobiko and a sesame vinagrette. It came with wonton crisps which added a crunch to the dish. That was so tasty. It is a nice place for dinner or simply drinks. Friendly servers and happy people. Would return. read more

Came in for a round of drinks after dinner quick before they closed. We had a large group on a Saturday night and they were able to accommodate us easily and had us seated in the back area right away. The inside is decorated very nicely and has a great atmosphere. The staff were laid back, friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered the vanilla espresso martini which hit the spot and my boyfriend got the old fashion. The old fashion was a little sweet. read more

A little hard to find, but so worth it! We were planning on visiting one night for happy hour/dinner, but decided to go a second night! The first night we had three appetizers and drinks. Wings are not my favorite, but the Thai peanut wings were great. We love Brussels Sprouts and we would give them above average. A little too charred for my liking. The service was friendly and attentive. We did have a burger the second night with the lettuce wraps. Both were very good. Will visit next time! read more

Idlewild was such a cool find - very interesting location and maybe easy to miss in the shopping center if you don't feel like being a bit of a detective, but that aside, we loved everything about Idlewild as soon as we walked in. Visually, it's a super cute place, with lots of wood accents, cool lighting fixtures, stone walls and whiskey barrels. Seating areas are sprinkled throughout the many rooms available for drinking and dining. The fireplace seating looked incredibly cozy as well as several areas amidst their whiskey barrel storage. The bar is our "go to" spot and so, we ended up there, of course. I enjoyed two mules after learning that they make their own ginger beer - a barrel aged mule (whiskey) that I loved and then another that I loved even more, the mom's mule made with vodka and mezcal. OMG. I met another of my loves, lol. The birthday boy with me enjoyed his usual Old Fashioned and then mixed it up with the Idelwild Sazerac. Both so yummy that we brought a bottle of the Idelwild Rye whiskey home with us. And, just in case you may think that they only have amazing drinks, our food was awesome as well - we shared the mushroom pinenut bruschetta and an amazing slice of cheesecake. Great way to end our day! Can't wait to return. read more

This used to be our favorite place in Winter Park, visiting every single time we were here (4-5 times per year). This is our first time back this winter and unfortunately, they went from a very high class menu to really poor bar food. We tried the wings, lettuce, wraps, and fries. Lettuce wraps in trouble fries were covered with a strange sauce unlike anything I've had with a similar dish which was overwhelming in a bad way. The wings were extremely dry and overdone. My child did have a cheeseburger, which is fine - but just fine. We had the chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich, which reminded me of Costco frozen chicken strips, but somehow drier than I could do by placing it in an air fryer for 45 mins. The waitress initially tried to make our experience good but after waiting 30 minutes for our second drink, we could tell she was not interested. This might be the greatest fall from grace I've ever seen for what used to be a great restaurant. I don't know how you go from lamb chops and short ribs to just burgers and bad sandwiches and expect to survive. read more

Ambience: Very cute indoors and very inviting. Could see all of the distillery in the back which was cool to see. Food: We got five tapas. The pasta salad was our least favorite, but still yummy. The bruschetta (3) was very good, very fresh. They did go heavy on the sauce so it was hard to pick up, but well worth it. The watermelon salad was very fresh as well, and a wonderful combination of flavors. The crispy brussel sprouts were AMAZING. Very good flavor, very crispy. Brussel Sprouts are easy to mess up and these were 10/5. The best dish was the Greek Salad, and I wish we got more. It was so refreshing and light. Service: Great service, super fast. I'm not sure why other reviews have complained about the service, it was 10/10. Would I go back: Absolutely! If i'm ever in the area again, i would love to go back. read more

When you have a husband as cute as I do, you have to keep dating him and date him hard. I picked this spot to woo by boo when we stole up to Winter Park for a romantic weekend. And wow was I rewarded. Such an inventive food menu Such an unique cocktail menu Such excellent service Such an eclectic vibe With a place like this I hate to detail the experience because it's one of those places that is best to be experienced organically where you visit just on the recommendation from someone (that being me right now) that says "You'll love it, trust me". read more

Okay... I REALLY wanted to give this place 5 stars, but I just couldn't. Upon arrival I was immediately impressed at the ambiance - they really did an amazing job with their tasting room and bar. It feels so cozy whether you decide to sit at the bar or a table. They really knocked it out of the park with the decor. However, our initial service experience left much to be desired. The bartender was cold, not into talking about the spirits and just poured us our tasting as quick as possible before leaving us alone... but what really took the cake in making it a negative experience was our food. After 2 drinks each we finally ordered and got our food. We ordered the brats which I believe were SUPPOSED to be served warm, and I think they literally took them out of the fridge and gave them to us cold. I get that food needs to be pre-cooked, but you better remember to heat it back up!! When we complained, the bartender simply said "oh, that's strange" but did not offer to heat it up, comp us the meal, or give us a free drink. It was strange indeed. After all of that, I was down to about a 2-star review. However, we did finally get a chance to chat with the master distiller. After talking to him and listening to his passion about creating a unique and local Colorado spirit, we decided it was worth a few more stars. The spirits were great and clearly they just need a new bartender. A video of our experience can be found here: https://youtu.be/-w22wJZTPbQ read more

Bottom line: delicious and unique food, wonderful service, and a really cool atmosphere. My wife and I are staying in Granby for our anniversary, and came here for a dinner date. We got a seat on comfy chairs by the fireplace (so cozy!). Our server was Sarah; she was very friendly and attentive, and had perfect recommendations for us. We're not drinkers, but we were excited about the mocktails on the menu. We tried both, and they were delicious, as was their ginger beer. Food wise, we got the duck bacon wantons, the cashew chicken lettuce wraps, the sage butternut raviolis, and the Korean "bulgogi" spare ribs. We thought the lettuce wraps were okay, but everything else blew us away. The wantons were super creamy, and the dipping sauce it came with was delicious. The raviolis were super yummy, especially the mushrooms on top. And the ribs were so tender that the meat literally fell off after the first bite. They were kind enough to give us dessert on the house to celebrate our anniversary. We got the golden rum cake, and it was delicious. All in all, we loved everything about our visit, and will be sure to come again next time we're here. read more

First off, the waitlist situation is terrible. It didn't get us seated any quicker, and they hung up on me at one point. They are terribly rude. The menu is mostly burgers. You can get a decent burger for way less at McDonald's or Wendy's. I will not hurry back. read more

Idlewild Spirts was a fantastic stop after hiking with some out of state guests! We shared several tapas and tried some of their specialty cocktails. Moscow mules are my drink of choice so I of course had to try their version. I'm not usually into an ultra gingery mule, but this version hit all the right notes. It was definitely ginger heavy at the start but had a nice sweet finish to really balance it out! As for tapas, my husband and I got the crispy brussel sprouts and bacon mac n cheese. We did sample our friends tots and kebabs which were both good but neither stood out. The mac and cheese was quite delicious and ultra creamy with a great crispy bacon bite! The sprouts were phenomenal, super crispy with an amazing sweet and spicy sauce. Definitely some of the best crispy sprouts I've ever had! read more
