Mushroom, Ementhaler, Truffle burger (Fun) - really exceptional
    David F.

Absolutely blew away my expectations - You would think a burger is a burger but the Fun burger in particular - an excellent combination of flavors that left us wanting more. Excellent fries and the brussel sprout side (please dont tell anyone I enjoyed a vegatable) was tolerable (really good). Nice place kind of in a basement around the corner from the main drag but fun and cozy. Nice people.

This is a very lovely restaurant/distillery, it is in the lower level, out of the way of the other restaurants on the Main Street. Drinks: California dreamin' (special) - SO GOOD!!!! I have never had a drink containing moonshine that was so crisp and refreshing like this one. The specialty drinks are all made with the liquor that is made in house. Our server was great at answering all questions we had about the drinks and what made them special. We also tried the pineapple punch, this one was good but a little too sour for my liking. Starters: Brussel sprouts, literally the best ones I've had in a while. The game changer for them was the sweet chili sauce they had on top that gave them extra flavor. Main dish: The Goat Burger - raspberry puree, goat cheese crumbles and arugula, all on a smash burger with a toasted bun! It was so great, I loved every part about this burger, it was perfectly made and curated for a good bite every time. We got the sweet potato tots as a side with the house made ketchup, they were perfectly made with a crisp outside and warm inside. Dessert: rum cake and brownie, the cake was made with their made in house rum and had a nice strawberry sauce on top. The brownie could have been a little bigger as it was buried underneath a lot of ice cream and whipped cream but it was still very very good, the fudge they topped it with was so rich and delicious! Overall a great place if you are looking for a "nicer" dinner spot in the winter park area!

Food was so delicious that this spot deserved 5 stars! We had to come back twice in one trip! Quality is significant, food is really flavorful here!! The Fun Guy burger was savory, a favorite! Tried their special of the day, nachos. Queso had a smokey flavor to it! A bit of a longer wait time for cocktails and/or beer both times, so heads up! Wasn't super impressed by either of the cocktails I had. Tried the Orange Dreamscicle and Fuzzy Martini! Service was great both visits. 5 stars for the food alone. Wish there were more options for seating. Lots of tables. Only one area with a comfortable couch option.

What a cool place with great music! We waited by the fireplace for our table. It was quite busy, but our server was prompt. All the food we ordered was delicious. The wings were a bit too crispy, but the BBQ and Buffalo sauces were fantastic. The burgers were great, served smash patty style, and you can also get a double patty. The fries were exceptional! Will definitely be back.

Whiskey and rum flight with a Jack rose. Wonderful

A Yelp search led us to this little gem. It's off the main road tucked behind and down a staircase. We didn't have a reservation and just wanted drinks. There wasn't a spot at a table or bar but they have a cozy little waiting area by the fireplace and the servers came to us. They have a cocktail menu, whiskey/rum menu, and a food menu. My partner sampled all the whiskey and the rum with a flight while I indulged in a Jack Rose as well as a Apple Butter Toddy. My partner didn't care for the single malt or the pineapple habanero extra he was given but he did enjoy the rest. The Jack rose had the perfect refreshing sweetness to it and the Apple Butter Toddy tasted exactly as it sounds. Perfect for any ski/snowboard trip. We had reservations elsewhere but the food looked delicious. I think the main dinning area could do with a little update as the furniture looked a little outdated. They have a prívate dinning room in the back that looked a little nicer for private events. The bathrooms were clean and while they did have high chairs, there were no changing tables in the restrooms even though there was ample space for one. I don't remember the total price for what we ordered but I do remember it being fair. I would come back and I would try the dinning experience next time.

AMAZING SPIRITS TASTING EXPERIENCE! We found this place during our recent Colorado trip for dinner and drinks, and what a wonderful experience we had :) I was impressed by its atmosphere as soon as we walked in - chill and warm. We were seated right away, and our server gave us an overview. Basically, I can pick my own flight, and each one is about 0.25oz for USD $1.00 to $1.50. I ordered the followings: - White Whiskey - Woodcutter's Bourbon - Rye Whiskey - Single Malt Whiskey - Rocky Mountain Gold (Rum) - Idlewild Vodka Single malt whiskey was my favorite (rich flavor with hints of smokiness), and the white whiskey was a pleasant surprise (smooth, balanced flavor): Food quality is quite high - definitely above average in the "pub food" category! Crispy Brussel Sprouts was freshly prepared - hot, crispy, and flavorful. Lamb Lollipops was good too - the lollipop part was a bit "gimmicky", but the lamb was tasty and the side salad made the dish well balanced. I'd certainly love to visit this place again (drinks for sure, and likely dinner too) when I'm in the area in the future.

    Toasted S'More Old Fashioned
    Stephanie C.

One of my favorite cocktail bars/distilleries in Colorado. I haven't tried the food, but the cocktails are very well-crafted and the menu always offers interesting, reasonably priced drinks. It's cozy inside and a great way to warm up on a cold night. It's been a bit since we've been up that way, but had to mention that the Earl Grey Old Fashioned and the Toasted S'More (hoping this one comes back) are some of my faves.

Are dogs allowed while dining outside?

Absolutely! We are happy to have well behaved dogs on our patio.

Is this the kind of place you make a dinner reservation for? I don't think it is, but yelp says you can make a dinner reservation on it?

Our seating for parties of 5 or more is fairly limited, so we do recommend reservations for larger parties on weekends. Smaller groups we can usually fit in, but at the very worst we do sometimes have a very short wait (and you are welcome to get…

My husband and I were only in Boulder for a few days but we went back a second time since we knew it would be safe for me and we both enjoyed it. I had a pork chop off the specials menu the first night and the vegan cauliflower steak the second night. Loved both, but especially recommend the cauliflower steak. Keep in mind it's tapas style, so your food will show up in the order it shows up, not all at once. Getting second drinks was a little slow as the place got more crowded, but the drinks were good. Non alcoholic cocktail options looked good too -- my husband ordered something off that list but subbed in regular alcohol and was very happy with the results. If you have strong opinions about wine, you might want to google the wine list ahead of time; the wine menu lacks descriptions and the waiters were a little less fluent in pairing recommendations there.

The evening started with them not remembering the food allergy that I told you about when i submitted your survey, but I digress. We started with a martini and an old fashioned. The martini was tasty but half of it was missing like where's the rest of my drink ‍. Second I had to ask for plates, not sure how you forget but remembered to give them to the table next to me ‍. At this point I'm over it and prefer my experience at raticato. Next strike, you ask us to order everything and you'll course it out but instead you interrupt us mid chew and ask to clear the table for our meals, absolutely unacceptable. How do you rush your customers. I get it's 8pm but you're open until 9:30 and if you're in a rush go home and send a server that wants to be there. Service, service, service. It was absolutely non existent and at a restaurant that isn't McDonalds prices, do better. You never came back to our table and asked if the food came out ok or if we needed more drinks. As a matter of fact, my spouse walked to the bar and ordered their own drink, unacceptable. Absolutely ridiculous. We couldn't enjoy our meal because the service was so poor and I'd absolutely not return. We had the Halibut, which was tasty but could do without the ro and the chicken dish, which was prepared well. The steak tartare was just ok and the bread and hummus was a good addition. Nah, wouldn't recommend. Please have a conversation with Olivia Z., if she's having a day she needs to exit and not work that day in hospitality. P.s. she also rushed another table that wanted to enjoy the chicken dish but she was too focused on leaving that she told them they should get dessert instead.

Reservations are a must and the vibe was intimate with low ceilings and dim lighting. Spacing between tables was generous and the noise level was low enough for conversations. It appears that we are in store for a nice evening. We elected to try the tapas dishes and share as we get a better variety and chance to sample many different selections. We started with the croquetas de jamon. The croquetas were light, airy and uncious with a hint of the jamon. The betabel tostada was the blue ribbon winner tonight. The pickled beets were finely chopped, great homemade beet and masa tostada, black bean puree, chili oil, dill, chive, lemon, jalapenos, pepitas and queso fresco. The flavor profile was nailed. My only concern was trying to cut the tostada into four pieces was impossible and caused us to destroy the masterpiece. The combination though was perfect. The sweet plantains were equally flavorful and a must try. The grilled short rib with sweet potato puree, demi glace, crispy Peruvian potatoes, aji amarillo and a cilantro gel was delicious, but the short rib was microscopic. Our final selection was the camerones in garlic, lemon, lobster butter, oregano, smoked paprika and chive oil. The shrimp were overcooked and extremely rubbery, while we fought for the sauce with grilled bread. Besame was our favorite dining experience in Steamboat Spring. The seating and ambiance coupled with the food made the evening extra special. To Besame, great job overall.

The Beef Short Rib Anticucho was the star of the meal, at least for me, I honestly wanted more because it was so good! The salad was also delicious and, while definitely more apple-heavy than greens, they were happy to accommodate my request for extra greens. My only criticism is that the menu doesn't mention the compressed watermelon in the gazpacho is infused with sangria. As someone who no longer drinks alcohol, I could definitely taste it and wish that had been disclosed on the menu. Overall, Besame remains one of my favorite spots in Steamboat.
