    Philly cheese soup

We had the best soup bowl and enjoyed with a local beer and it was divine! Such a great stop, so friendly, and the best soup I've ever had! Try the Philly cheese soup with a beer from the Peak!

Awesome cheeseburger mushroom soup in a bread bowl

I built this place up in my mind - probably too much so. Who doesn't lust after an amazing bread bowl of hearty soup for lunch after a solid morning on the slopes? So needless to say, I was salivating before I'd even taken my board off. I'm not sure why I was surprised at it being pretty crowded, but I was. My soup fantasy involved quietly sipping on a hearty chowder by a roaring fire. That did not happen. There were no seats left inside, so we sat outside (it was chilly, but not unbearable). Our soup took a while to arrive - I guess dipping a ladle into a pot is more delicate an art than I thought. It also proved to be very beneficial that we were hungry since the soup cools off pretty quickly when it's below 30F outside - of no fault of the restaurant. The soup we had was decent but nothing to write home about. And riddle me this - who serves soup out of a bread bowl that isn't sourdough?! Granted I'm not even a huge sourdough fan, but the shear physics of the concept of using plain white bread loaves left me puzzled. The bottom of the bowl became a gooey, mushy mess and if you order a thinner soup, you're bound to spring a leak before you even hit the bottom of the bowl unless you really chow down. So less talking and dreaming of a roaring fire... get to town draining that bowl before you end up with a mess on your hands.

This place has great soups! It's a small quiet place at the winter park village, great to stop by on after hitting the slopes. You won't get full with the soup, it's a small portion. We ordered the Chicken Green Chili and Chicken and rice, will definitely recommend. They were both fantastic, if they have it get the Chicken Green Chili. It's not what you would expect from a "Chili," it's mostly vegetables but beware it is spicy; has the perfect kick. Will definitely be back. The only negative is the same thing we are to expect from winter park, it's pricy for what you get. We spend $15 for two cups of soup and a fountain drink.

Stopped in for soup and sandwiches before heading out to do some hiking. The homemade chicken noodle soup was great and my girlfriend enjoyed the chipotle butternut squash since she's veggy. Nice owners and sweet location right in the village

I stopped in here for breakfast- very good breakfast sandwich and I didn't even realize it - it comes with home potatoes as well- very friendly staff- will come back

Stopped on for a cup of soup on a cool summer's day...loved the carne asada taco soup with a glass of wine. I would stop in again.

It was not too sweet but nothing extraordinary for a matcha latte. Second visit, I ordered the Nutella chimney. I am not into extremely sweet pastries so I asked for easy Nutella spread. Anyway, it was delicious! The cinnamon sugar dough (chimney) was fresh and light! The bakery is small and cute. They hear ice cream and other sweets along with sweet and savory chimneys.

This was a nice surprise for lunch. We did not have any of the specialty beverages or ice cream,…read morejust some chimneys. Overall, a good lunch with a few small issues. I had the turkey chimney and I found it very good. Lots of meat and vegetables. The bread felt very fresh. Though plentiful, the turkey felt a bit basic (compared to the ham). I also sampled the caprese sandwich (which is split open--not a chimney, but the same bread). Once again, the veggies really shown through here. Next time, we would have the basalmic glaze on the side as it was a bit heavy for our tastes and soaked through a bit. The cheese was hearty. There was a slight miscommunication about our two other meals, for kids. One was correct (the PB&J). However, I think they toasted the bread? It was a bit more crunchy than we would have expected instead of soft. This, unfortunately, made it unpalatable for one kid. I thought it tasted good, but the toasting (or stale bread?) wasn't the best choice. The other was supposed to be a ham sandwich, plain. But instead we got a ham, havarti, and egg chimney (which, looking over the receipt, I was charged for). That one is on me for not correcting the order. This change also made it undesirable for kid #2. Upon my trying it, the bread, a chimney, was equally as good. The ham here was better than my turkey. There was a lot of egg. This was not so good if you're my kid, but probably very good if that's the actual sandwich you want. We had a sweet chimney with nutella. It was very good! Seating is very limited. They have a small-ish space next door. The table we were at was broken, but others looked to be in better shape.
