So glad I discovered Fu Kee Bao Dim! They offer a huge variety of dim sum, baos, dumplings, and Chinese dishes that make life so much easier. Everything is frozen and ready to steam, no need to defrost! The location closest to me is right across from Markville Mall. The lady there is super friendly and helpful, she took the time to introduce different dim sum options and explain how to properly steam them. My top favourites are the Cream Custard Bun, Har Gow, and Siu Mai, highly recommended! Perfect for quick, tasty meals at home.

Want to enjoy dim sum in your own home (think Canadian winters), in your backyard, on a whim, any time of the day, have your favourites, pack for a picnic or road trip, buy for your out-of-town friends who aren't near a similar store? Go to Fu Kee Bao Dim. Just south of Markville Mall at Roddick and Hwy 7. It's a simple set up, you walk in, load your basket with whatever you want from the freezers, pay and done. Dim Sum, Wontons, Dumplings, Pastries, Buns, Prepared Dishes, Soup, Snacks (fish balls, rice balls). This trip's shopping list: soup dumplings (qu. 30 in a bag) - 12.99 shrimp and pork siu mai (qu. 9 x 3 trays) - 14.97 (4.99 each) pork sui mai (qu. 9 x 3 trays) - 13.50 (4.50 each) jumbo shrimp and pork siu mai - (qu. 6 x 2) - 9.98 (4.99 each) abalone siu mai (qu. 6) - 5.50 Total - 56.94 Egg tart Queen is right beside it. Might as well make it a multi-function trip ;)

A great frozen dim sum spot for you to shop around and bring home. Was in the plaza waiting for some take out food and decided to pop into this shop. The store front is covered with their logo/ design so you can't look into the store at all. Was actually wondering if they were even open, which they were. You can find all your classic dim sum items here, like siu mai, har gow, buns, chicken feet and more! They have a lot of freezers with lots of inventory so you can probably find whatever dim sum you're looking for. Cooking instructions are printed right onto the packaging of the items itself and vary in time based on the product. I got the siu mai, har gow and sticky rice in lotus leaf. They were all so delicious and well worth the price. It was nice to be able to have the dim sum right at home but having it restaurant quality. Can't wait to go back to stock my freezer up with more dim sum! Check it out!

This location is clean and has most of the things one would want for a dim sum meal at home. This location is not as crowded as when it use to be over by Fairburn Dr. However with the move, the prices seem to have gone up. We had a good variety of food. There was good flavour to all the dishes and everything was tender, even the tripe. I will continue to use this as my diy dim sum place.

Fu Kee relocated to the strip plaza across from Markville Mall. I have been to the Scarborough location and this is easier to get a parking spot. The selections may not be as good as Scarborough. Yes their dim sum's quality is quite comparable to some or even better than some dim sum restaurants. My favorite are the bean Curd rolls, chicken feet, Chiu Chow dumplings.... and more. Aside from dim sum, they have ready to heat soups, entrées, desserts and much much more. So make sure you have enough freezer space, as I always ended up getting more than I planned! Open everyday even on statutory holidays.

New location at Markham!! Finally! Been to the Scarborough location multiple times and the Markham location is slightly bigger inside and have all the necessities you need for a good dim sum experience at home. All you gotta do is steam, steam, steam. They have cooking instructions on the packaging. Favourite items are: Shrimp har gow Bean curd rolls (mr. Tran loves it, you're welcome sir) Chicken feet in black bean sauce Char siu bao Chiu chow style crystal dumpling (forgot the actual name) Parking can be tricky as it's always full.

First day opening! I'm so happy and got lucky as there is no one there today. This place at Scarborough is a nightmare, no matter what time you go, I always have to wait in line for 20-30 mins. They also give you free dim sum today (just 1 pack of buns), still better than nothing. Will definitely be back!

This is the Markham retail location of Fu Kee Bao Dim in Scarborough. We visited last Sunday and was within its first week of operations. This location had fewer selections than the Scarborough location. The management may still be testing the market demands and preferences. I suspect the management might adjust the offering later. The prices here are identical to the Scarborough location. This location is closer to my home. The parking lot is bigger. Even better, there was no lineup to enter the store on the day we visited. I don't think I will trek down to the Scarborough store anymore.

I have been coming here for the past few months to get my dim sum fix. Prices are very reasonable and quality is superb. My dad loves the bbq pork bun and says they're restaurant quality. I always feel overwhelmed with the selection, but now I can peruse the menu pics at my leisure to see what I want to try next. The menu pics were taken this past weekend (Oct 15, 2022). Cash and/or debit only. Parking lot gets full quickly for other businesses in the area. Come early. We went on a Friday afternoon, and luckily, I was the passenger, so my partner waited in the car.

When they provided with a table it was right next to an exterior door, with people going in and out. The was a cold draft, we even had to tell the hostess/manager, if they could provide a divider to divert the draft from hitting our table. We ordered 9 dim sum dishes, one be Roasted Pig Mixed Cold Jellyfish, which was $23.80. I had the idea that it would be a fair portion. When it came, I was shocked, it was only 6 pieces of Roasted Pig. When I spoke with the manager about the portion size, he commented "for that price it is fair". There was not apologies and walked away, nor was it written on the menu. If I had known it was only 6 pieces (size of your index and middle finger put together). I would not have ordered it. If you want to have Roasted Pig, you can get better deals else where. Also, ordered Marinated Chicken Feet for $13.98, when it came to table, it was also a disappointment, part of the chicken feet was dark in colour, not even sure if it was even edible or not. Another dim sum dish that I have order was the steamed chicken with fish maw. The chicken was okay, but there was only two small pieces of fish maw, (the size of each piece was 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch). The order 6 dim sum dishes that was order was mediocre, tasted better from other Dim Sum restaurant. When I received the bill for the meal it came out to be $119.50, they even had included the tip. They didn't even give me an option weather a tip was even worthy. I will definitely not be returning to this place. I definitely do not recommend anyone to come to this restaurant. I would consider blacklisting this restaurant. It's simply deceiving customers.

The individual New Century slow boiled soup is hardest to share but secure some empty bowls and you can divide the hefty portion. In the winter, there's a silkiness to the piping hot consommé that sooths a dry throat and has an umami essence infused with abalone, ginseng, and pork. There's plenty to choose from in the house signature combo platter including roasted duck, soy sauce chicken, BBQ pork, pork slices, and seaweed salad. Saving my stomach for the later dishes, I had a taste of the duck (a good start with crispy skin) and BBQ pork (satisfactory and well flavoured). With the generous portion of chicken in the combo platter, the slow cooked chicken with abalone broth seemed like overkill. I've never been a huge fan of this dish that's served cold since I prefer chicken hot. Still, I understand it's the jelly layer between the skin and meat that people enjoy. And to be fair, the chicken was tender, and New Century certainly didn't skimp on the ginger and scallion oil. For those who tend to fill-up before the "main dishes", the stars of the combo arrive mid-meal. The stir-fried Vancouver crabs with silver fish in HK style spicy sauce needs to be eaten at arrival as the crunchy coating is best straight from the fryer. And despite not looking spicy, the dish has a light heat that permeates in the background. Additionally, the crab was fresh and meaty, cooked well so it remained delicately flakey. The amount of sweet and sticky sauce used in the stir-fried lobsters with scallion in Maggie sauce was well balanced, lightly covering the crustaceans. Both lobsters were substantial; even after eating many pieces, we still had plenty of leftovers. This is a long review head to Gastro World for the rest.

Parking still sucks, lol. As someone who isn't a huge fan of dim sum or the traditional dim sum tea, I was really happy to see that they now offer HK Style Milk Tea as well as various flavours of slushie and bubble tea offerings. As a milk tea lover, this alone would make me choose this place over another. :) The restaurant itself is quite spacious. When you enter, it's the front counter and a take out shelf (with LOTS of people ordering take out). There is a dining room to the left and to the right. I like that the tables are generously spaced apart, unlike some other dim sum places. Food wise, it's pretty decent, like any other dim sum place. I wouldn't say that it's anything special and no dish really stood out to me. We were a larger group so we ordered 2-3 rounds of stuff, and sometimes would just ask the server to add on a dish for us. I don't know if this was confusing for them or what because a lot of our dishes didn't end up coming. Of course, dishes that didn't come were not charged. The bill itself is a little confusing but they are happy to explain it to you. Instead of an itemized receipt, it is just multiple lump sums for tea charge, S/M/L items, special items, etc. Gratuities are already included.

Since this Chef 88 is opened until 1am, I think this place will get busier as the night progresses. We weren't super hungry as well ate something for tea time. So we ordered Maggi Lobster (~3lbs) for $34/lb, and stir fried beef with Chinese broccoli (gai lan). The lobster was cooked perfectly, with the Maggi sauce not being too salty. They definitely gave us all the pieces of the 3lbs lobster. The gai lan had a bitter aftertaste, which is common for this vegetable. I wished they had a way to get rid of that. They were generous with the amount of beef and was well marinated. The cut wasn't that great, but that is to be expected. I don't think they added much MSG or at least used good quality ones, as we did not feel overly thirsty later in the evening. They give free daily soup and dessert. What we were most impressive was with the service. The waiters were very attentive, changing our plates twice during our 1ish hour meal. The also gave us wet wipes and more napkins without us requesting it. They even offered us additional soup, which we declined as we were quite full.
