    Double decker

If you go to this restaurant bring a sweater. Every time I've been here it's been freezing. I ordered a double-decker, switched out chips for fries which cost me over five dollars to do and a Diet Coke. My meal ended up being $30. The food is really good and we always have leftovers for the next day. The fries were a little bit overdone and even the server commented about it, but didn't offer to switch them out.

It had been a very long time since we were to this gem of a diner so it was high time we came back. We have raved about their burgers in the past and my wife got another great one on this occasion. I myself went in the breakfast direction with what they called "The Feast". It came with 2 eggs (over medium for me), home fries, toast, and a falf order of all breakfast meats (goetta, sausage patty, bacon, and smoked sausage.) The eggs and toast were fine as was the home fries. The meats were definitely the stars for me particularly the goetta and smoked sausage. It was definitely a filling and delicious breakfast. The service was great and the restaurant was no frills as far as appearance but very clean. The price point is very affordable as well. This restaurant continues to impress.

Was this place gourmet? No. But it's everything it promises to be. Cheap and good. I had a special that was a BLT, fries, and a drink for $8.50. My husband got a double decker based on someone else's review and he loved it. Don't skip on the tater tots. They also serve breakfast all day which instantly endears me to any restaurant. The service was excellent - are waitress was very friendly, attentive, and offered great suggestions on the menu.

Tried this place based on a recommendation from our local UPS store front desk guy in fort Thomas. He loves this place and now we can be added to that list. Friendly and fast service with large Portions and hot and flavorful food.... Well that's definitely a run on sentence.. waitress was friendly and gave recommendations- which I love - I got the breakfast platter and he got the Reuben sandwich. I added onions and cheese and peppers to my potatoes and when I requested well done, she told me that it's wasn't a problem.... Who doesn't LOvE a restaurant that will go the extra mile and they delivered as those potatoes were amazing!! As were the eggs... not loving eggs right now just the protein they provide but these were good enough that I ate them all. The French toast was what I was craving and it was good! With the Reuben he enjoyed it but was pretty standard and it was delivered hot hot hot, which was awesome... It's a small hike for us but we will be back for sure..

French Toast Breakfast with fried eggs and goetta

Great breakfast spot! Got the French toast breakfast and everything came out piping hot and my goetta extra crispy, just the way I like it. My daughter got the biscuits and gravy breakfast with eggs and goetta and loved her selection. Great prices, great service, quick order and fast, fresh and hot food!

A perfect place for diner driveins and dives. Everyone know everybody. The place was filled with regulars and the staff is so sweet. They are open until 3 and serve breakfast and lunch and everything looks very good. I ordered the BLT double decker which was one of the best I have had. Bacon was crisp and bread toasted perfectly. The only downside was out of goetta.

2 eggs, 3 slices of bacon, and pancakes

I walked out of First Watch this morning after being ignored for literally 15 minutes, until I started talking to the next table. I arrived here ready to cry and starving. I was seated immediately, and had my order taken quickly. Everyone was so lovely. I couldn't finish the stack of pancakes the size of my face. The staff gave me advice for what to order next time (a smaller order and sub one pancake for the toast) so it fit my needs better. The food isn't fancy. This is a down home diner that makes classic American food. My only regret is that I forgot they had goetta! I've been here before, sometimes there is a bit of a wait because there's a line out the door. I'm really glad I got there when there wasn't a line. But they typically move pretty dang fast, even if there is a line. I'm so glad I came here when my other breakfast plans didn't work out.

The food was good, however overpriced. The amount charged was 20% more than what was listed on the menu.

The food is outstanding across the board--from the steaks to the cheese sticks--but the real star is their bread pudding. It's absolutely worth the trip from anywhere in the tri-state area. Parking is also easy and convenient, with a garage right across the street, as well as their own lot and additional street parking. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great meal and an even better experience.

They have a charming patio at the back of the interior space as well. I didn't realize they have their own lot, but in case it's full, there is plenty of street parking nearby. The service was excellent. Our server was very attentive and kept drink refills flowing. We ordered the pretzel and beer cheese and the poutine for starters. The pretzel was huge and tasty. I didn't care for the beer cheese, probably because I was expecting a more solid cheese product. I would describe this more as a cream sauce. It didn't seem to have much cheese in it and was very 'liquidy'. Also the ramekin was only half full. If it had tasted better, I would have asked for more, but as it was not, we didn't even finish what was given. I thought it was a bit pricey at $12.95 for one large pretzel. On the other hand, the poutine was fantastic! A very unique take on the dish with a mix of cheese curds (although they reminded me more of pieces of mozzarella sticks), french fries and Andouille cream gravy. I ordered the fish tacos which consisted of Blackened Salmon, Thai Chili Sauce, Black Bean Corn Salsa, Pico de Gallo. My order came with two and they were fantastic! Since Blinkers is known for steaks, I will have to give them another try at dinner time.

My usual favorite is…read moreTousey House, but they aren't open for dinner on Sundays so I needed to find an alternative. Fort Mitchell Public House Bar and Grill checks all of my boxes. The first thing I look for is a nice patio. Unfortunately the weather wasn't cooperating today, but I will be back for this fabulous patio. I was there before the dinner rush, which explains the emptiness of the restaurant. More people started arriving after 5:00. There were so many yummy sounding choices on the menu that it was hard to decide. I asked my server, Erin, what she recommends and she said the CAJUN BOURBON FILET TIPS were her favorite. I went with that and was not disappointed. The filet was cooked and seasoned perfectly. It is served over mashed potatoes and topped with onion straws. While the beef portion was small, it was a satisfying meal and the flavors were perfection! I added a side Caesar salad. Their house-made croutons were so good and the dressing was tasty and perfectly portioned. I don't often order dessert, but decided to splurge tonight and got a slice of the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake to-go. OMG, this is one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had. It was light and dense at the same time, if that makes sense. So creamy and melt in your mouth delicious. I will dream about it tonight LOL.

The place is comfortable; the tables are nicely spaced. Though it's a bar and grill, it has the feel of a restaurant. The menu is huge; so many options! I decided what I wanted, but kept looking at the menu. I considered changing my mind several times, but stuck with my original choice - SAIGON SALAD - arcadian greens / red and green onions / almonds / rice noodles / grilled chicken / soy ginger vinaigrette. The salad had a nice mix of greens. The chicken had an honest to goodness grilled flavor. It was the perfect size and seemed like a light option. It was delicious and I left feeling perfectly satisfied. Mark had CAJUN CREAM PASTA - grilled chicken breast / artichokes / black olives / tomatoes / spicy cream sauce/ penne. I failed miserably taking a picture, but I can tell you Mark raved about it. He also agreed the chicken had a great grilled flavor. He said the sauce, not too spicy at all, was delicious. He ate every bite. Three people had SALMON SLIDERS - grilled salmon / arcadian greens / tomato / remolaude / slider buns / chips. Everyone enjoyed them, though one mentioned the salmon had a habit of exiting the bun. Someone had a burger and another had NASHVILLE HOT CHICKEN WRAP - fried chicken / cayenne chili oil / honey / shredded cabbage / cheddar / pickles/ chips. He said it was quite good and rather spicy. Everyone was happy with their meal. With so many other options on the menu, we could come back and easily all order something different.
