I just used Fry's Carpet Cleaning for my office and it came out perfect! When I moved in here I don't think the carpets had been cleaned for some time so I wasn't sure how clean it would get. We're also by the freeway so lots of dust is continually building. To my surprise, it looks REALLY good! Now I know what to do and I'll be calling Greg and Jake more often. Oh and for a few dollars more ask them to clean your car mats! read more

Great service! My couch and chair that are a Tiffany blue color came out beautifully. They also cleaned an area rug that now looks brand new. They took about 90 minutes to do a 3 seater couch, chair and an 8x10 rug. Everything took about 4-5 hours to dry. Very pleased. Will use them again! read more

I've been using Fry's Carpet Cleaning for years! Greg and his wife are always so professional. They're always quick to fit us into their schedule, including same day at times. Greg always takes special care to protect the furniture and walls from being scarred while he's cleaning. I have two dogs that can totally make a mess being dogs. Greg comes in and finds the area that has the problem and gets out the stain & smell. My carpets look brand new when he's finished. He's also cleaned my sofas in the house too, all at very fair prices. I'm a happy, happy customer and can't say enough great things about Fry's!! read more

This post is way overdue but I've been using Fry's for a little over a year and they never disappoint. They are usually available for same day appts. Which is convenient for me because I usually need my carpets cleaned bc of my dogs, so it's nice to have them readily available. Most recently, they came out after having just cleaned my carpets because one of my dogs had an accident on one of my rugs. I was home with a newborn and they were more than accommodating. They're always on time, quick, and professional. I highly recommend using them. read more

We are soo fortunate we were referred to Greg and Fry's Carpet Cleaning after a bad experience with another company. We were in a bind and needed our couch cleaned in a short time frame (another company had cancelled on us, rescheduled and then tried to gouge us in pricing when they finally arrived.) Greg came to the rescue - he was able to get to our place in a half hour, thoroughly clean our couch all in time for out-of town guests that were arriving the next day. Greg (the owner) and his son (Jake) do an excellent job. They're timely, and fair on pricing. He actually charged less than he had quoted because the job was a little easier than expected, not typical of local businesses. If you live in the Encinitas/Carlsbad area these are your guys for carpet and upholstery. He even cleaned our daughter's old stuffed rocking horse and it looks new again. read more

Meet the Business Owner: Greg F.

Born in Austin Texas and moved to Encinitas California at age 17. I am Married with 3 children. Started a Carpet Cleaning business in 1985. In 1989 we sold our business and moved to Kauai and started Kauai Carpet Cleaners. Lived there on the north shore 11 years. In 2000 we moved back to Encinitas and started Frys Carpet Cleaning. Joe himself came out and took the time to go through the entire couch by hand with the upholstery tool and transformed the colors of it and completely eliminated the mild odor and the molds that were on small parts of it. He also used some special enzymes that help kill some of those germs as well as post-treat the entire couch to ensure both any mild smells and the molds themselves were gone. First, our rep Robert came to our house with tons of options and suggestions. He was able to give us a wide variety and help us select something that uniquely fit our style and budget. He was easy to get a hold of and responded quickly with any questions we had. When we came to the showroom, Robert dopped everything to lead us through the selection process. We could tell he was highly knowledgeable and much more intent on making us happy rather than upselling us on unnecessary products. When instillation day came our installers, Miguel and Israel, were also very professional and highly knowledgeable and skilled. Rarely have I seen harder workers than these two! Their attention to detail--such as lining up the carpet pattern on the stairs and making sure the cut pattern on the risers were balanced--was impressive. The entire job, including moving large furniture, was completed in two days. We couldn't be more pleased! We highly recommend this team for high quality products, professional treatment and advice, and an impressive installation experience.

His response was quick and honest and he was willing to take the job on at a very reasonable cost, and referred me to Stan. After about 2 to 3 weeks, he was ready to bring her back and we were extremely flabbergasted at how gorgeous she had turned out. When you have a piece of furniture so long and it looks so worn, it's hard to imagine what it could look like beautified. I am attaching before and after pics to show what wonderful work they did, which included completely stripping her, which Stan said was VERY labor-intensive. This summer we noticed that every time the A/C came on, people sneezed. Finally we figured out that…read morethere was dust in the ducts (duh!), and looked around for a highly-rated duct cleaning service. When I contacted them for an appointment, I discovered that it is the same company as Chim Chiminey Sweep, who cleaned our chimney last year and did a great job. So we figured we couldn't go wrong by hiring them to clean our ducts and vents. They came today and did the cleaning. They arrived exactly when they said they would. They were utterly professional. I can't easily look inside the ducts to see how clean they are, but I watched them work and I'm sure it all got very clean. They brought a big red machine labeled "Rotobrush"; it looked like a combination vacuum cleaner and spinning brush. The brush loosened the dirt and the machine sucked it all in, so that none of it came out into the air or the room. They worked efficiently and finished when they predicted that they would. They reported that one of our 16 ducts was damaged and suggested that we call a heating/cooling company to have it repaired. The final invoice was for exactly the estimated amount. I couldn't be happier. I asked them how often we should do this cleaning, and they said "about every 5 years". We have lived in this house for 3 years, but I suspect that the ducts hadn't been cleaned for 20 years. No more sneezing here.

I have been working with Greg Fry for over 20 years, and he always does a great job even on the most difficult cleaning jobs. As a land lord I can't control how my tenants treat my property and the damage to the carpets can be extensive, but I can't remember a time when Greg could not get them cleaned up for the new tenant. He also helps me with my house cleaning the area rugs, marble tiles, and carpets. Sometimes I have emergencies like flooding and even then he shows up ASAP, AND HELPS ME THROUGH THE CRISES. Greg cleaned our Berber carpets this weekend. This is the third time we have used Fry's. He is really conscientious and pays special attention to removing stubborn stains. The carpet looks fabulous and dried quickly too. Greg is very professional. We had a scheduled time of 9:30 for the cleaning and he arrived at 9:27. That says a lot about his commitment to customer service. We also really appreciate that Fry's does not use harsh chemicals that can leave residues and are not good for us and our animals. Greg is such a sweet guy and a hard worker- he came out here last minute and was very accommodating. He cleaned our dirty, old couch, and made it look so much better. He also cleaned our tenant's carpets and they look brand new and fluffy. My tenants were so happy. And, he's affordable. I have used Fry's carpet cleaning for 4 years now since my residency in Solana Beach. They are top notch trust worthy reliable and best of all the most reasonably priced of all competitors. They do a great job and are most definitely my go to venders. The last carpet cleaner I used broke an art sculpture (ran into it with machine) and never made any attempt to correct these actions. Not only do they come at the time they promise, but, they do an excellent job of pre-spot cleaning, putting down furniture protection plastic under pieces that cannot be moved easily, thorough cleaning, and if requested, will use a Scotchguard type of spray to help avoid stains from the inevitable spills.
