After doing much research about carpet cleaning and looking at reviews I decided to choose Bob's Carpet Care service. Bob or whoever it was on the phone sent T. to do the job. Besides carpet in my home I have expensive wood flooring. When T. was cleaning the carpet close to where it met up with the wood floor the over-spray was getting onto my wood floors and so I discreetly laid down a towel, when he did not use the towel to clean up the water I wiped it up myself. When it happened again, I mentioned to him that the installer told me not to allow water to lay on the floor. T. then proceeded to tell me how he was very familiar with wood flooring and that my installer did not know what he was talking about. I did not tell T. this at the time but the manufacture also gives the same instructions as the installer and the same recommendations can be found via the internet. T. also mentioned that he makes sure that the water is wiped up before he is finished. After he had finished with the last room that met up with the wood floor and left that area of the house I nervously left the water sit on the floor to see if he would return to wipe it up. After 5 minutes or so, I wiped it up myself. When he did return he did not even go near that area of the room to wipe up water that he did not know I had already wiped-up. When he was finished his work I mentioned to T. that the carpet in some areas did not seem as clean as I had hoped. He told me that it would look better when it dried. I doubted that but I did not feel like dealing with someone full of excuses and I did not have time. After he left I had my bags packed to join my husband for a 2 day stay at a hotel so that we would not be walking on the carpet. I planed this ahead of time because I wanted to make sure the carpet was completely dry before it was walked on again. When we returned home neither I nor my husband were too happy with the way our carpet looked. Two rooms and the stairs looked like they had not even been cleaned at all. My husband called Bob's Carpet Care to complain and T. told him that (prior to his cleaning the carpeted areas under discussion) he had told me that those areas would not come clean. Well, first of all that was not what he told me and second of all does it make any sense that I would tell him to go ahead and clean the carpet (one room in particular) if his efforts at cleaning it would not be successful? I could have saved myself the cost of cleaning those rooms if I knew he could not do the job right. T. then told my husband that he could come back out and do those areas again. But, we had company coming in to stay for a few weeks so that would not work for us. Also, I'd like to add two more things. One was that T. was using a water hose which had a big metal clamp with a metal piece protruding out that he was dragging up my wood stars. The metal was hitting on the wood. When I brought it to his attention he warped a cloth around it. The second incident was that T. took my large living room rug out to the garage to clean it, he did so on the garage floor with no protection between the dirty floor and the rug. My mistake was not to make sure that he was going to be using something that would not get the bottom of the rug dirty which was later drug back into the house. I see no reason to pay out a lot more money for carpet cleaning only to see the same results as I would have seen if I had paid a lot less. And I certainly don't like being treated as if I don't know what I am talking about. I'm just a stupid woman who has been around a lot longer than T. and so there is no way I could be intelligently informed on the subject of wood flooring and I would not be able to judge between a legitimate excuse and a phony one. UPDATE: Since posting this review I have heard from the owner of Bob's Carpet Care and he expressed to me that he thought I should have contacted him before I posted this review so that he could have a chance to take care of the matter first. I explained to him that regardless of what he did it still did not change the facts of what had occurred and that I was only posting the facts. Also, Bob's Carpet Care refunded my money for the carpet cleaning within a week of the owner contacting me. He told me that he had let all his employees know of the incident and that he was making efforts to keep there from being another incident of this sort. read more

I never write reviews regarding a company, but this one I must! Our carpets in our clinic were despicable with coffee stains in certain areas and just major discoloration throughout. I have used Bob's about 7 times in the past three years or so to clean our wool carpets and upholstered chairs. I have had outstanding service each time and will only use them. As others have written, the staff is always courteous and professional on the phone and in person. The guys who have cleaned my carpets have always been very, very polite, efficient, and they do a great job. Recently I needed my upholstered chairs cleaned but the cost to clean them, together with my three wool carpets, was getting up there. Tom (of Bob's) suggested that for a lower cost, I only needed to clean the cushions; the body of the chairs didn't really need cleaning. I called Bob's a few weeks ahead of the day I wanted to have my carpets and grouted cleaned. The gal I spoke to on the phone was courteous and professional. I explained to her what I wanted to have done and she gave me a ballpark price of $225. On cleaning day Ryan and Noah arrived, and again, they were courteous and professional. However, the price I was given on the phone swelled to almost $400 after they arrived. I was able to negotiate the price to $350 out the door but I still feel that was excessive for the services performed. The result of the cleaning services performed were very good, so I have no complaints there. I just don't care for the somewhat bait and switch approach to landing jobs. read more

Have used Bib's twice twice -- in 2014 when moved here -- cleaned several area rugs, including a Chinese rug that was damaged when a sewage pipe overflowed into my garage. They did magnificent job. This time had them clean tile on first floor and floor to floor rugs on second floor. Once again fantastic service and highest quality work. Not only were they extremely careful (shoe covers, plastic protection for ) corners but the way they managed the job around sensitive items -- delicately moving items, watching hose near glass tables, etc. they were also very transparent on what could an could not be done - some concerns about ability clean grout on heavily trafficked areas because not properly sealed when installed. Gave me clear options. They did fantastic job -- floors and rugs look new. Best yet -- they are very reasonable on price. Higher quotes from other companies. read more

I accidentally left my coffee cup on the side table in the living room and our 85 pound shepherd knocked it over while chasing our other family pet. We tried oxyclean, resolve, cold water and clear soap, and to no avail the stain was still highly visible. As an added bonus, the coffee spill happened over memorial day weekend when all carpet cleaning businesses were closed. I called Bobs Carpet care at 8 am this morning and by noon their technician Ryan was here to come to the rescue! They have a 125.00 minimum, but it is worth every dime spent. The stain did lift (oxyclean did bleach out some of the carpet, which was our fault for using it), and Ryan even cleaned the entire living room area while he was here. I received a free bottle of spot cleaner and given written instructions for aftercare. I am highly satisfied with Bobs Carpet Care to make themselves available to me on such short notice and their ability to perform the services needed without price haggling or the usual sales pitch to try to get me to purchase unneeded extras. I have used Bob's Carpet Care maybe 4 times. Last fall I used another company using an Amazon Local deal - great deal, poor job. Tom came out today and cleaned the stairs, hall and bedrooms. I am a picky researcher when it comes to hiring outside services to work in my home. I check reviews like Angie's lists, friends on FB, BBB, and Yelp. Bob's Carpet Care Inc. is top for service service and cleaning. The service from start to finish with Bob's Carpet was truly wonderful. I called the shop and the Mandy was very knowledgable about carpet, upholstery and stains. I sent her a photo of of my couch and area rug and she shared them with the owner. They sent a technician, Ryan, over the next morning to check out my projects and give me a bid. He was very knowledgeable and gave me a bid that was below what I expected ( based on other companies I called). I was lucky that Ryan had time that morning and he started cleaning! I have light cream carpeting and a couch that has never been cleaned for over 3 years!I could tell that Ryan liked challenges and loves seeing stains removed! He was very meticulous and he worked slowly and thoroughly until the stains were removed and the couch was back to looking and smelling new! 3 days following the service, Bob's Carpet Care Inc. called and left me a long voice mail to make sure I was satisfied and is I had any comments or suggestions for improvement. The bottom line was they wanted me to be 100% happy! I was so pleased with their service and philosophy of customer service that I decided to write a review ( I rarely write reviews!). In a world of fast , faster and easier, I am most grateful that Bob's Carpet Care believes in not rushing through their cleaning. Bobs carpet care was great. I brought an area rug to them because of pet urine smell . It was explained to me that they could do a more thorough job by getting both sides of the rug if I brought it in versus having it cleaned at home. Wow, it looks and smells like a completely new rug! I was struggling with whether I should replace the carpet in my rental home. Instead i decided to call Bob and see if cleaning the carpet could bring me good enough results that I could keep it for a few years. Bob came out the same day I called, gave me a reasonable price that I could not turn down, and created magic!! Everything looked amazing, he took the time needed to do an amazing job! The carpet looks and smells better than it has in years. I also gave Bob 5 rugs to clean. Bob was so honest that he even suggested I not bother cleaning one of the rugs that was quite worn and not that nice, He told me I would probably not be happy with the results. Bob's "strikes again". These guys are GREAT!! I have been a landlord for more than 40 years, all over the country and this company is the BEST I have ever run into. The customer service I received from the guy that came to clean my place didn't make me feel very valued as a customer and I decided against using the service. We REALLY REALLY needed our carpet cleaned because in-laws were coming in two days. For me to cancel a cleaning that I needed badly speaks to the level of disappointment. It's not so much what he did but more so what he didn't do. Far too often people judge service primarily by the "actual" work. What businesses need to realize it the service starts the moment the vendor is greeted or does the greeting. I won't say anything about the vendor I found, but I will say that the company that did end up earning my business, definitely gave the impression the business was valued and I will refer every one I know. Just a word of advice to BOB...When you send a rep to a home to have it cleaned and the person declines the service. You might want to have someone from the company make a quick follow up to see if anything could have been done to earn the business. That little effort makes a big statement to customers. I am sure the fuel you pay for the van to go from house to house cost money and rather than have that cost of fuel wasted because the service was declined. Atleast you can take 30 sec. and inquire why the service was declined. You never know, it could be something simple that would provide you an oppoturnity to possibly retain the business. My case was definitely one that fit this scenario, it doesn't matter to me who gets the business. Just my opinion, clearly you have enough business to where it doesn't matter. read more

I had a great experience with Tom and Easton at Bob's Carpet Care. From beginning to end, they were polite, professional and efficient. Also, importantly, I didn't feel worked over as I have in the past by "other" carpet cleaners. No switch and bait. Tom and Easton cleaned the stairs in our rental property that had some very deep stains and dirt from a renovation we did in our master bedroom and guest bathroom. Tile dust, dirt from our contractors' shoes and goodness knows what else were imbedded in that carpeting. They also did a bit extra where my previous tenant's cat had slept under the couch and it was stained with cat dander. These guys were magicians. I couldn't believe it turned out so clean and spot free. They took me from believing the carpet was almost out of life to thinking it has several more really good years! The only downside to their service was price. They do an amazing job, however expect to get great service, effective results and a larger than average bill. read more

I first spoke with Bob over the phone and was impressed with his knowledge so much so that I decided to have him clean my area rugs and household carpet.
