When I finally tracked down the manager in person, he was unhelpful and unwilling to work with me on a rug that didn't fit the room it was purchased for. The lack of customer support was especially disappointing given the owner's assurances and the high price point of their products. And I love that they have great deals on items, and a larger selection than places like Walmart or Target. I'm usually looking for food items like spices and sauces, and kitchen gadgets and organizers. I also come looking for work needs, like cute glasses and ramekins. Selection of those items definitely varies with the seasons, and they have a great selection of Halloween, Christmas, and even Easter items. I've also come looking for a gift multiple times. There are a lot of great items in the pet section, and they also have the collections of items from places like India and Indonesia occasionally. The line to check out can get long, as this is a smaller store. I've never had an issue with the employees, they all seem nice. HG seem to be in high-traffic shopping centers, and this one definitely is. Parking can be an issue at peak times, because of Aldi, BevMo, Staples, and restaurants like Cali Fish Grill, Primos, and Board & Brew.

She repeatedly asked if we had made a decision, which made us feel rushed and pressured rather than welcomed and helped. As we were leaving, I smiled, waved, and said goodbye to her, but she completely ignored me and turned her head away. I found that extremely discourteous and unnecessary. When we first arrived, we were also immediately told that we couldn't stay long because of construction and that we needed to be out by 9:00 p.m. I understand that stores have construction and closing procedures, but the way it was communicated felt very abrupt. We came back with our family because we were genuinely interested in purchasing furniture. Unfortunately, the customer service we received left a very negative impression and ultimately took away from what should have been a positive shopping experience.
