Wow this place has some brutal reviews. Personally we had a great experience but we went late on a week night. Maybe that's the key? The sales people greeted us as we came in, and checked up on us a few times over the course of the hour while we were there wandering. They were happy to tell us about the ordering process, fabric customization, how the store is sorted, and how to use the take home sheets to figure out what's best for our space. I do not recommend this location. I purchased a Revive mattress recently and was told by the salesperson this mattress had a 100 night trial but that is not correct. I shouldn't have to check behind the salesperson for accuracy. The salesperson was helping multiple people at the same time so perhaps that is why I was told incorrect information. Now I cannot exchange the mattress and I am out $1600 which is a lot of money to me. I will never purchase another thing from Living Spaces. I will be purchasing furniture and mattresses from other businesses from now on. This was a very disappointing and costly experience. Update: after being contacted by four Living Spaces employees, including two at this location, they stand firm that their website states this mattress is not eligible for exchange and refuse to make this right. I should have read the reviews for this location and gone to Mission Valley. This location does not care about the customer experience at all. I purchased a sofa and chair from Living Spaces (Vista, CA) in February 2025, and unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. Within just 10 months, I began noticing significant issues with the couch cushions. The fabric started fading and thinning, and the cushions themselves were breaking down far sooner than expected for normal use. For context, I am a senior living alone, and this couch has had very minimal use and traffic. This is not a high-use household, which makes the condition of the furniture even more concerning. Living Spaces sent a technician to inspect the couch, and photos were taken and submitted to their team. I was then told this was considered "normal wear and tear," which I strongly disagree with given the short timeframe and light use. I even reached out to the CEO's office and received a follow-up call. During that conversation, I was told the condition of the couch was due to how I sit down and get up, which I found both surprising and frustrating. I asked if they could at least replace the cushions or repair the material, but I was later informed via email that they would not offer any replacement or solution. I expected much better quality and customer support for furniture that is less than a year old. At this point, I am simply asking Living Spaces to stand behind their product and make this right by repairing or replacing the damaged cushions. I would also advise other customers to be cautious when purchasing from Living Spaces, as my experience suggests they may not stand behind their products if issues arise. If I could give no stars I would! Husband and I just bought a new split king adjustable bed, mattresses, and bed frame from here on Black Friday and we were told everything would be delivered at the same time. Delivery guys showed up and are currently setting up the bed but NO MATTRESSES! I called living spaces customer service and that's when I was informed that the mattresses we purchased are back ordered until the middle of December and when they are delivered to the warehouse at that time, THEN we would be able to schedule delivery. The customer service guy also informed me that they don't see what the sales people see within their system at the time of purchase so they can't confirm if stuff is actually in stock or back ordered. Shocked by that response, I asked for the store's direct phone number so I could speak with someone there. That's when he told me that he didn't have a direct number and the only way I would be able to talk to someone there is if I were be to go in.... SERIOUSLY! When we purchased everything, we dealt with Brian C. As our sale rep and the Mattress manager and neither him or her mentioned the mattresses are on back order. They kept reassuring us over and over that everything will come at one time. *BUYER BEWARE* Please be very mindful when ordering from the Living Spaces website. Their website descriptors do not match what is delivered. I ordered a table with a specific feature and when the table arrived, it did not have that feature. I reached out to customer service to return the piece that was shipped to me and for them to ship me the item that I ordered. They advised that the table 'does not offer that feature'--completely ignoring the fact that their website states in three different areas that it does have this feature. Sadly, there was no effort to actually provide the product that I ordered and they have stopped responding to my messages. I have done business with Living Spaces in the past and was happy with the items and service, so I don't know what has happened with their business model. Came to living spaces on a Sunday afternoon plenty of parking in the large lot and the store was not busy. There was an employee saying hello as we entered the store and employees walking around I did not feel overwhelmed with customer service. Looking for a king size bedframe with a long list of things I wanted and while I didn't find one that met all the desires I had there were a few good contenders. Also nice home accessories, decor, pillow and rugs for prices within reason but on the more expensive side. Haley was very helpful in my search even going along with the actual color scheme I want to accomplish in my bedroom while also having a nice conversation. There is almost a duplicate complaint here to what I came to write about - living spaces raving about how great certain custom fabrics are and how washable and stain proof they are, when it's actually not. I bought a $3500 couch in May and had some water looking stains that I couldn't get out myself, called living spaces care and was told to go in store in person and they could help offer a cleaning service complimentary. Their operations manager couldn't have been less helpful, and less customer service oriented. Talk about complaining to a completely emotionless and unapologetic "manager" who offered no solutions or tried to see if they could provide ANY assistance. The only comment made was "this looks like you used tapwater to clean it not distilled which is what would be needed." First off, a fully washable and stain proof fabric shouldn't be sold as such if even the type of water used couldn't help? What on earth. After calling customer service after asking what I could even do at this point they provided me the number for their company that knows how to clean their fabrics, literally more than I can say for this team working at this location. Talk about terrible service. At the very least try to help your customer find a solution and don't lie about your fabrics, don't lie about a cleaning service that can be offered by going in store, and hire respectable management who at least pretends to care to help customers with their problems. Awful! 2 years ago we bought a very expensive Avocado mattress from Living Spaces with a 5 year warranty. Recently, only after 2 years the mattress started to severely dip in places where we sleep. Living Spaces flatly voided our warranty citing we needed a "bunky board" under our mattress to keep the warranty valid. This is the first we have ever heard of a "bunky board." Our bedframe is from Restoration Hardware with 3-3/4" spacing between the slats. We also wrote to the President of Living Spaces and have heard nothing. We purchased a couch here 10 years ago, had a great experience, friendly and helpful salespeople and got a great price on something that wholly met our needs. It was time to replace our couch, we have a small place, so we are very specific in what we are looking for. We called Living Spaces to ask if they had any couches that would meet our space criteria and were told they could not tell us over the phone and we would have to come in for that information. We went in in the evening about an hour and a half before they closed. We walked around for about 20 minutes, looking for a couch to meet our criteria without any luck. We were not greeted or approached by anyone until we were walking back to the front of the store. We were met with a hi but not much else. We asked if they had any couches that met the measurements and specifications we were looking for and were told that the furniture has signs on them or close to them that had measurements. We asked if possibly we could get pointed in the right direction and again were told that there were measurements on the cards by the furniture that we could look at. All is great with this store unless you have to go down the hole of Living Spaces Customer Service Hell. If you don't need to customize anything, it's probably fine to shop here. But once you want something customized, I highly recommend you choose another store if you want to save your sanity. Saturday 1/11 my husband and I decide to purchase a custom sofa. We are helped by a nice sales representative whom we were VERY specific that we needed a small sofa (74"), but then her shift ended and another representative took over who was also very nice and helpful. Somewhere in between the switch it was not conveyed that we needed the 74" sofa, NOT the 93". Even though we sat on the 74" sofa that we wanted and discussed with this new representative, little did we know she did not get the memo. We go to checkout and and sign the documents at 6:30 pm. We go home and after 9 pm I noticed that they had us down to purchase the 93", NOT the 74" sofa. I immediately contact the email at webhelp@livingspaces.com and to this day I have not gotten a reply. Panicking, we go the next day on 1/12 at store open to inform them of the mistake. We met manager Tomas and he said we had until 8pm on 1/11 when we made the purchase to make changes, otherwise we are hit with a 25% restocking fee. However, he said he would email the warehouse and see if we can request to have them change the size to 74" before they began work. Giving us 1.5 hours to make a change is not reasonable, and what kind of "work" would they even possibly do in that short time on a weekend? This policy just sounded like a way for Living Spaces to make more money on an error. Tomas the manager said he could ONLY email the warehouse and could not call them, and once they emailed a response he would get back with us via email or phone call. I understand that this is Living Spaces's policy, but there are many other furniture stores who can provide better customer service and try to work with the warehouse. Keep in mind, that just over 12 hours had passed between the time we signed the paperwork to when we revisited Living Spaces. To add insult to injury, we met the representative who wrote up the paperwork on our way out. When we talked to her, she was very positive but didn't sound apologetic at all. That just put a really bad taste in our mouths, because we were going to buy a nightstand there at the store but because our experience was so negative, we just walked out and bought at another store. I called EVERY DAY to the Living Spaces customer service number which is a call center in India for an update since the store has NO DIRECT LINE. I was given the run around and each representative would tell me something different. On 1/16 after I opted in for a survey and wrote a bad review after another disappointing phone call to a representative in India did I get a call back from Tomas immediately after. Coincidence? I don't know. He informed me that he received an email response on Monday 1/13 but was sick for 2 days, but the warehouse response was they could not make a change without hitting us with the 25% restocking fee. We didn't have a choice and if we cancelled we'd still be hit with the fee, so we agreed to it. Because he called to inform us few days later, it pushed our delivery date back by 4 days. Bottom Line: go somewhere else if you want something customized. There are many other furniture stores with better backend customer support who actually have your best interest in mind and are willing to go above and beyond for your patronage (as long as the request is reasonable). Our request was reasonable and we responded quickly, but Living Spaces would rather make an extra $300 than provide a good customer service experience. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. We purchased our sofa in December 2024 after being assured by the salesperson that the cushion covers could be removed and machine-washed. This was a big selling point for us given the light, almost white color. Once we tried to remove the covers, we discovered the inserts were not encased, making it impossible to wash them ourselves. We contacted Living Spaces in February 2025, submitted the photo evidence they requested, and then... nothing. Multiple follow-up emails went unanswered. When we finally went in-store, the "solution" offered was a cleaning kit that consisted of a tiny sponge, a small cloth, and two 8 oz bottles of cleaner and deodorizer. It was insulting given the situation. We also purchased a 5-year warranty, under the impression it would cover professional cleaning. That was a joke. We've submitted 3 claims that have all been denied. We asked to exchange for a darker sofa so the dirt wouldn't be so visible, but because of their rigid 7-day return/exchange policy, we were told we're stuck with it. We now have an expensive sofa that looks dingy and is a constant frustration. The misleading sales pitch, lack of communication, and poor handling of our warranty claims have left us feeling completely let down. I would not recommend buying from Living Spaces read more

Horrible customer service! I tried to buy a couch in store in Vista CA, the first week of December 2024. They were out of stock of the item. I monitor the website and the item is available for delivery from their Colton CA facility. I purchased the couch on the 19th of December. Delivery scheduled for January 14th 2025. I get an email confirming delivery on the 14th on December 19th. The day before, the 13th of January, I get an email setting my delivery window from 9:45 to 12:45pm on the 14th. The day of the 14th I check the link provided to track my delivery and it repeatedly shows as unscheduled. After my delivery window passes, I call the customer service number to be told that there is no couch, no delivery until some unspecified date in February. She can't explain what happened and refuses to transfer me to her supervisor. The most unprofessional furniture experience in over thirty years of shopping experience. Be warned. read more

Living Spaces has a lot of furniture to choose from. However, beware if you cannot see and try out a piece that is not in their showroom. I bought a chaise lounge with two-seat sofa. I was told the set had a small ottoman to match, however, it was on back order. And, it would not arrive at my local store ever. I would have to order this sight unseen. If I didn't like it, I would pay a restock fee. I wanted to insure the ottoman would match the height of my sofa so I could use it as an extended chaise. I was told to find an ottoman on the floor, measure it, and I would know if it fit or not since the dimensions were on the website. A month ago I called about the ottoman. I was it was available and could be shipped tomorrow! Well, it was the larger size. Beware of ordering over the phone; it goes so fast you are paying for an item you don't even know the size/price of. The manager handled this incorrect item well refunding me my money. The back order finally was available. And, guess what? It does NOT fit flush with my chaise sofa. I am so dissatisfied and undecided how to handle this one more time of being let down. By the way, delivery happened on the day I requested. However, no doorbell ring, no text, no phone call, no email confirming delivery. I opened my door to find it. AVOID - POOR QUALITY Living Spaces is a more expensive Jerome's Furniture. Same crappy quality but with more design and fabric options. In the end, you might as well skip the additional options that Living Spaces offer and just go with a cheaper discount store. All of the negative reviews are spot on. It's just poor quality furnature and it's really tough to get any warranty work done because of the "normal wear and tear" excuses that Living Spaces uses to decline warranties. Just read the horror stories of warranty rejection at this and other locations. I purchased a living room couch set a year ago. There were already some quality issues on delivery (See the pictures when I bought it a year ago). Nothing I couldn't either fix myself or just live with. So this week I noticed something strange under the Chaise couch cushion. There was a lump that originated from inside the base of the couch. I kinda assumed that maybe a spring broke or came loose (after a year?!?). Anyway, I opened up the bottom of my couch and much to my surprise there was a catastrophic failure on the wood beam supporting the springs. The board had snapped in two pieces. This was NOT going to be an easy fix... So I was forced to basically rebuild the couch AND strengthen areas that were poorly constructed. Three hours of my time wasted. I really got a good look of how cheap their furniture is made. The culprit was that the original wood was defective when it was installed at the factory. I observed the the piece that broke had a knot in the middle which had a crack which ultimately failed under the constant tension of the springs. I also noted that some of the other pieces (non load-bearing) had some imperfections like longitudinal cracks. For my own personal projects I always have to sift through the wood at Home Depot to make sure they're they're free of fractures and potential weaknesses. Living Spaces just buys cheap wood in bulk and hopes it won't fail. There were no quality checks at the factory and NO quality checks when it was shipped. I've confirmed my suspicions of Living Spaces. They're expensive for cheap quality. Don't get caught up in the perfect fabric option, focus on quality first. You won't get that here. read more

The store itself is a wonderful shopping experience - HOWEVER - buyer beware. You will never have a chance to speak to an English speaking American citizen for any customer service issues should you need them because there is no direct phone number to ANY of their retail stores. You must contact some unhelpful, powerless "representatives" overseas who will "email" the store and if you are lucky you will receive a call back. I've waited over 24 hours to set up delivery and speak to a Vista Store representative but had to call the "overseas" people three times before anyone bothered to contact me. My order was set up in their system incorrectly and the only way to get it resolved is for ME to drive back over there and deal with it IN PERSON. Are you kiddiing? I got a couch from here 2 years ago, had been happy with it for the time I've had it and when I had purchased it the sales associate at the store told me that they have an "amazing warranty" that covers 3 or 5 years and if there were to be any damage within the warranty time frame that I could get a replacement set "no questions asked". I was honestly in awe because that sounded too good to be to be true. Well, I'm not in awe anymore because it was a complete lie. After 2 years, I submitted a warranty claim and was denied. I then called to contest it and was basically told that the claim reviews are subjective and whoever reviews the claim makes the call on whether THEY believe something justifies as an "accident" which is total BS. She brought up how a wine spill scenario would qualify as an accident, so then I gave a hypothetical scenario on an accidental wine spill and the CS Rep told me that would be "neglect or misuse" so I then asked her to PROVIDE me with a hypothetical spill scenario that WOULDN'T be misuse or neglect and she couldn't. Apparently an accident is only an accident when it doesn't happen, because when you have an actual accident then you're SOL with these guys. Just liars, recommend staying away from here unless you like being lied to, then this is definitely the place for you! read more

This place is still so obnoxious. My wife found a couch at Living Spaces she really liked but we don't ever buy big furniture pieces sight unseen. So we unfortunately had to return to this location to check out the couch and confirm. This time we came with our two babies, a big mistake on our part. We were immediately greeted at the front Customer Service desk and asked the gentleman to browse without being bothered, since we had very limited time with the babies. He said no problem. We then found the couch, and no joke, within 10 minutes of us testing it out, we were bothered by 5 different salespeople (and one who was an "expert" in swatches, what a joke), each indicating they don't "work off commission", having to explain ourselves each time about the babies and having limited time to browse. One salesperson even waited nearby to wait until the other salesperson stopped talking to us, overhearing the entire conversation, then swooped in immediately after. So annoying and invasive! After the 5th encounter, we booked it out of there. Long story short, we loved the couch but still hate the in-store shopping experience. So we ended up purchasing the couch, a completely custom order for the upholstery and modular pieces, online through the Living Spaces website. It was so easy and a much more pleasant experience. We applied for financing and handled the entire purchase through the website, free of harassment from the salespeople at the Vista location. If you find the same experience with Living Spaces, I would highly recommend finding the piece you want online first, then go to the store (without babies) and quickly checkout your piece, and have a strategy for dodging the salespeople. I ordered 2 recliner chairs for my Mom in her new assisted living facility. I measured & although they did fit, once the delivery men left I realized the 2 chairs in the space created a trip hazard for her (she's 87). I called immediately & asked if I could return the 2nd chair given the unique situation. I spent 30 minutes on the phone & was told they would not allow a return since the chairs were considered custom (per the customer service rep & the supervisor). I offered to pay a restocking fee & even said they could do a store credit as I'd likely be purchasing other items down the line. Still no. I'm frustrated & annoyed. Living Spaces used to be one of my favorite furniture stores. Unfortunately, we were approached by six different salespeople in less than 30 minutes. It's always the same speech: "Can I help you find something" or "are you interested in this piece?" When we tell them "we're just browsing", the interruption continues with, "have you shopped here before" or "let me explain how the store works" (hint: it works like every other store in America). The inane happy-talk babble will continue until you become downright unfriendly to them. I understand they just want to be helpful, but get a clue salespeople! Learn to read body language and tonal inflection. When shoppers say, "we're just browsing" that's the universal language for "we want to be left alone." I don't want to engage with six different salespeople who are trying to become our best friend. We already know how to ask for help if we have a question. Frankly, this store was the worst offender of all the furniture stores we went to that day. So if you're on a mission to look at lots of furniture without constant interruptions, shopping here will be very annoying. We ordered a couch to be delivered and placed the order in store, when we received the couch it only came with 4 out of the 6 legs needed to assemble the couch, so we called and they said they'd ship the rest of the legs no problem! What a KISS OFF Do you really think anyone would care? Is there a Store Manager who may consider this at the very least a training opportunity? This phone number is their service center. When I asked for the phone number to the Irvine, CA Store Manager, I was told "there is no direct line to the store" I couldn't find one sales person to help me. I was completely ignored by salespeople sitting around doing nothing. My wife and I made it through the bedroom area, found ann item that was acceptable and then made it all the way back to the Customer Service desk where I asked if this was a self service store?A young man got up and then asked a younger female sales person to help but after she was told what I needed, the item in need was not in her area. I reluctantly purchased a wrought iron bed frame with headboard, footboard and sides directly from the customer service desk. We knew exactly what we wanted and we were a slam dunk sale. I will never again shop at Living Spaces. I bought a bed frame, adjustable bed along with a mattress from them 2 years ago. The mattress does not work on the adjustable bed the way it should, never has. Recently spoke with an individual who worked in the mattress industry for several years and he told me they sold me the wrong mattress. Went to speak with them today asking ng for some help. Not asking ng for them to give me a mattress, but maybe give me some type of discount on a new one. No can do they say! If a business wants to make it right they can. So, my business will go else where from now on. No loyalty to customers. read more
