Literally a joke- I bought an expensive sofa (sectional) that has a left arm, an armless and a right arm and they delivered me two left arms. Customer service is refusing to help me and they keep trying to tell me to keep as is with a discount. I obviously don't want to keep an incomplete sofa as is that is a joke.... First they delivered outside their delivery window and made me go home from work as they were gonna just leave the sofa in front of the garage. They also did not even assemble... And now I am stuck with an incomplete sectional and they are not wanting to help. I will have to call my bank to dispute the charge. Do not purchase from them! The worst experience ever, You would think for the amounts they charge that they would be professional but they are not! read more

Bought a Cody Foster house on website. Item arrived with a totally different color palette than what was pictured. Called their CS and was told that I would get a refund for the item's, but NOT get reimbursed for the $20 shipping fee! I replied i should get a FULL REFUND, since the item pictured online was not what I received! A Gallerie has always been a favorite place to shop. Our current sofa is from there, at least 10 years ago. We've bought lots of accessories, artwork, books, games, and other items from them over the years and have been satisfied. We've been researching a new sofa and bed and saw a couple of things online that we wanted to see in person, as well as the custom fabrics. Cindy helped us and was very patient and helpful and her years and years of experience with the company shined through. She made recommendations, asked appropriate questions and guided us in our selections. We ordered a sofa that wasn't available at any locations to see in person, but I'm confident we'll be happy with it. The bed was available to see on the floor and we practically took that thing apart, along with Cindy's help, trying to figure out if it would work for our particular needs. The only downside was that with our custom fabric selection, it's going to be six months before we see either item. But that's how things are these days with the current economic conditions and supply chain issues. As usual, ZGallerie had the styles and colors that appealed to us over other furniture stores. read more

Z Gallerie broke my heart. I ordered a sectional sofa in July. I was told it would arrive end of September, so we sold our old sofa. We have had nowhere to sit for two months. When I call the store, they refer me to the customer service line. Whenever I call, I wait 30-45 minutes. They told me it would arrive beginning of October, then end of October. Then beginning of November, then end of November. Today I was told DECEMBER. We are being strung along and the customer service people are just a call center without any ability to talk to the warehouse! They say they can't call, can only email them, they don't know why the system hasn't updated. I am kicking myself for not ordering the West Elm version that was promised in one week. This is just heartbreaking. Whenever we entertain, I tell the story and my neighbors and friends are shocked. We always thought Z Gallerie would be solid. read more

Z Gallerie is my absolute favorite home decor store. Their style is up my alley. I ordered a duvet cover and some throw pillows online but I never got the package. Z Gallerie corp had to send me a second shipment which took forever to be delivered. I was nervous my order wouldn't be delivered in time before I moved. Luckily this Z Gallerie store had what I wanted in stock. I should have just bought in store in the first place. The employees I encountered on the phone and in-store were nice and friendly. I was able to buy the items I wanted in-store and just return the late delivered items at a later date. I'm sad Z Gallerie stores have been closing throughout California I wish they re-opened more locations especially up in Norcal. read more

Okay...let me just say this... When ever I see a Z Gallerie, I have to go in and look through new items and most especially, the Clearance section. This time, I found pieces that I always liked but didn't purchase because of the price. They were 70% off!!! Of course I was excited and had to get them. I brought over the round decorative table which was over $750.00 originally. And other pieces that were also 70% off. The lady behind the counter came to me while I was still shopping/looking around, to make sure that I understand that it's 70% off the original price and not the sale price. I gave her my high eyebrow and told her that I already knew that since that's what the sign said. I don't know if I looked like I couldn't afford it or that I looked like I couldn't read...But I was a little irritated by the way she asked. Could easily have been a misunderstanding... At the end, the same lady helped with the check out and brought the table to my car. It's actually a great store that has a great selection for the house. After a long day ***UPDATE*** Well, we were just informed (several weeks after purchase) that our $3,600 couch would not be able to be made. Two of the pieces are no longer being made and therefore our sectional cannot be made. Doesn't seem right that, they took our payment in full, plus we paid the insurance on the couch, had us sign several documents explaining this was a final purchase and could not be cancelled, to turn around after several weeks and say oh sorry, we won't be fulfilling the order??? We had to drive back to the store for a refund, no real apologies or anything to make it right. We were told by store that the order was able to go through at the time of purchase so they don't know why it isn't being completed. So, I have to sign paperwork saying it's a final purchase with no cancelation and pay in full, buttttt ZGallerie can change their minds after having my money for a few weeks??? Not sure this sits right, plus no attempt to make it right or anything for our time, not to mention we gave our current couch away to make room. ZGallerie, you are to classy to be pulling this on your loyal customers. With Bassett, RH and other like places in the area, might be worth not going through the bait and switch. If you take someone's money and hold them to a contract, you should also be held to fulfill the contract!!!! read more

Customer service agents are in Mexico and have a horrible attitude. They do not help the customer with their issues . They went bankrupt and they don't do refunds. I had a damaged sectional delivered and they said they can only offer store credit no refund. They cannot replace the sectional I currently have because they don't sell it anymore so they are forcing me to get something I don't want online. They don't even have swatches or a show room. It is a scam!!!!!! read more

Finally San Diego has a Z Gallerie again! I came here opening weekend and it did not disappoint. I love everything Z Gallerie and was so bummed when they closed down the last 2 locations in San Diego. Now I can drive up the 5 freeway and be there in 30 mins. The store was beautifully decorated with the best decor that z gallery is known for. The sales people are so friendly I couldn't help myself from buying 400 worth of knick nacks for my home. Oh yeah and parking is golden here. Lots of spaces and in a great shopping center with just about anything your heart desires. Prices reflect the beautiful pieces they have here read more

I am giving 5 stars only because of Julio who is the Manager of this location. He is a GEM. I have just posted the same sentiment on Instagram as well. Julio has helped us order countless special orders of furniture. We've furnished nearly every room in our home with him (living room set, dining rooms set, bedroom set, and more). I won't work with anyone else there but him. I am very upset that all the San Diego proper locations have been closed. It's a 40 minute drive with horrible traffic to this location. I have high hopes that Zgallerie re-opens a San Diego location...and brings Julio down to run it! read more

I used to go to the Z Gallerie in Gaslamp years ago and was so sad to see it close. Though, I got some great deals when their doors closed, I had to go to Corona when the Fashion Valley location closed as well. It was a bit of a hike for me, so when this place opened up, I was rather excited. I have warned my husband that I will come home with random furniture and art pieces from this place, but we won't eat for months to come since this place is a bit pricy. I don't want to let him have the house decorated his way anymore so this is my stop for home decor from now on. read more

Old Review- Remember to check products when doing in store pick up. I often purchase online & pick up in store. This store wraps up messed up pieces for u to take home. My cake stand has missing crystals. I've received messed up uneven wine & champagne glasses. I live pretty far in La Mesa so driving back & forth to return items is not a great option. I still love ZG, but make sure u unwrap & check each piece prior to going home. Annoyed...I hope they reopen a location in San Diego soon. I'll be making in store purchases from now on. No one wants ugly stuffs! Whoever wraps them up are seriously idiots. Not one item is messed up, but multiple i. I've picked up items at least 3 times & each time there are mismatched or missing details etc. I will definitely check each piece from now on. Disappointed.. we purchased more than $16k worth of furniture to furnish our new home. Bought stuff before we closed on our house and after being told week after week that our items were assigned to a truck already and to call by the end of the week if no call from the delivery company, I ended up cancelling our order when 6 weeks later still nothing. Turns out they never ended up shipping the items but they kept telling us that they did. The manager Julio did his best to help with the situation. I don't think it's the store's fault, but poor management at the corporate office/main distribution center. Got a refund thankfully. Save yourself time and money, go to Wayfair and look under Rosdorf Park. They have so many items that are exactly what z Gallerie sells. Don't buy the Stella sofa unless you have money to waste. When I first received this purchase, it was the most comfortable couch. Right before the two year mark, the cushions disform horribly making it very uncomfortable and not as appealing to look at. Super dissatisfied considering the price and the fact it was in a low usage area. Zgallerie provides a warranty on them, but they say the sinking is "Up to standard (UTS)". It is especially sad because the sofas that I have in a high usage area from pottery barn are 5 years old and they look better than this couch. Due to Zgallerie providing no help on the issue, the stella will be have to be replaced with a couch from a more reputable company. read more

The worst customer service EVER! The sofa arrived damaged. I've had conversations with 3 customer service reps in the past 3 weeks and the issue has not been resolved. I want a refund for the damaged sofa as the quality is substandard and it isn't a comfortable piece. I finally got a hold of a supervisor who informed me that they will charge me a 25% re-stocking fee. For a damaged piece? I was also told that a tech should have been sent out to attempt to repair the damage when I first made the call almost a month ago. They are requesting the sofa to be picked up, which is another 10-14 days and my refund, less the $350 won't occur for another 7-10 days after they get the sofa back. This is ridiculous. Had I used a credit card, I would have reversed the charges already. NEVER again will I go into it but anything from Z-Gallerie. read more

Ok so when I purchased the furniture in store everything went smooth .. now when a month later went by I called to see the status of the furniture that's when I found out that half of the pieces were out of stock and no one notified me and for that reason of the stuff being out of stock they delayed my living room couches to be delivered ... there company is horrible the worst furniture company I ever had to deal with will never purchase with them again ... there customer service is horrible !! read more

Beware. Just spent $7,000 online for new pool table and other items through the z Gallerie website. That was 6 weeks ago and I still don't have my items. I've called the shipper multiple times and they finally told me z Gallerie filed for bankruptcy protection and they won't release my items until they are confident z Gallerie will pay them. I, of course, have already paid my $7,000 in full. I've emailed, called and wrote a bad review on the z Gallerie website. Emails not answered. Phone calls not returned. Bad review was filtered from the site. These guys are very poorly run and seem to lack integrity. A risk for anyone purchasing from them. Steer clear! read more

Horrible company to do business with. All they care about is their sale. Once you are out the door they will do nothing for you in terms of defective items. I received my bedroom set last Wednesday and the nightstand had a scratch all the way across. I immediately called customer service waited on hold for a representative for over an hour. Just to be told I need to take care of it myself. I put in to have a manager call me and was told that will take 3-5 business days. Here I am 1 week later and no one will contact me. In the meantime I called the Encinitas store I bought the set from and they are unwilling to help. Stating I need to just wait my turn for a call back. We waited WEEKS to receive it and when we finally did it was cracked. Thank goodness I refused it along with the chairs we purchased to go with it. We wanted them delivered together just in case we ran into any problems..... Which we did.... I was told we would receive our table and chairs between the middle to end of August would have been another month of waiting. Haven't heard anything so called today. From the sales staff to management, their high level of service is consistent and always seem to go above and beyond. Having worked with most of them at one time or another, I still see so many of the same staff even after all these years which is rarely the case in most places. I paid 170$ to have two chairs I paid 1700$ for delivered in two weeks, even though it is in stock in their warehouse!! They wait until they have enough deliveries in the area before they deliver your stuff! That's a joke and just goes to show how cheap of a company they really are! I have shopped here for many years and they never disappoint. Anytime I have an issue, which is rare, the store manager, Theresa, goes out of her way to make things right. But first and foremost, she makes sure her staff is attentive to all the customers needs. Recently while in the store, I heard her walking an elderly customer through the email process over the phone so that an error in delivery could be corrected. Theresa spent over 15 minutes going through step by step how to attach photos to an email and send an email to customer service by cell phone. Now ETA is mid November?!?! At this point they have STOLEN our money. We asked customer service for a refund and are told there will be a 50% restocking fee?!?!
