Just spent 20 minutes in the Frothy Monkey. Rude hostess sat us & brought us menus & water. Sat there for 15 minutes more without any wait staff coming to speak to us or offer to take our order. Excellent spot for breakfast with a great menu of tasty dishes. Fantastic ambiance and super friendly staff. Spacious seating allowed us to spread out and enjoy our Sunday morning. We tried the Bacon, egg, and cheddar bagel, the California breakfast, and the Andouille & Hash, along with a chai latte and a tasty pour over Venezuela that was outstanding. A solid breakfast. Located in the old train station (now a hotel) the room is airy and attractive. There is also a nice outdoor seating area. The coffee is very good. (Non-spicy) Pros - good portion, perfectly crisp bread, simple and appetizing. "Hoff sauce" readily available. Cons - at its price point it is missing an element or two. I love me some Frothy Monkey! Another great addition to the Chattanooga Choo Choo. Great coffee and drinks plus restaurant food. Wife and I dropped in after touring Songbird's Museum. Great place to just unwind while drinking a coffee to warm up on a cool day. You order when you walk in and then they give you a Monkey card to take to your table while they make your drink. They will find you. We when upstairs to get a good view of the place and watched while they made our drinks. I have a vanilla Latte and it was great. The place has good WiFi as many had their laptops out doing some school work on a Saturday. read more

This is my go to study place here in Chattanooga! The coffee is delicious since it's not too sweet or too bitter for my taste palette. The coffee is perfectly smooth and just straight up yum! I highly recommend trying the rosemary honey latte; you can thank me later! :) They have food options as well at this coffee shop; a little on the pricey side but it taste really good! Such an adorable place with tons of character and friendly service. The menu is super unique! Today I had a Hanzel & Gretel latte with gingerbread and cocoa. They even have macadamia milk as an option! Frothy Monkey is a spacious, open restaurant located within the famous Chattanooga Choo Choo. They have a wide variety of menu items and many brunch options served for dinner. Unfortunately, they were out of several drinks (coca-cola, sprite, etc) and entree dishes when my party and I visited. I didn't get the opportunity to order what I really wanted because it wasn't available. However, the food that we did receive was tasty and well presented. Two females working, rolling eyes when I asked questions, I had to move inside because it started raining and when I told the girls, one said "I can't help you, I'm busy making coffee" when I asked who can help, she shouted at the other girl to "He's moving inside" the girl at the til, audibly huffed and said "Fine, we'll get it to you..." Great chill place place to have some coffee and a light meal. The facility is really great because it is very spacious. Also the kitchen is visible which is always a plus. Just had a plain bagel with cream cheese and also bacon (my go to for bagels ). Everything came separate, so I had to put the bacon and cream cheese on myself which was just a slight hassle. Good amount of bacon though. Also got a matcha latte which was very aesthetic. It was very light and not strong at all which was good for me. Also got a side of fruits. We were only in Chattanooga for 24 hours, and on our way out of town we made a decision to grab coffee at Frothy Monkey. A quick coffee turned into a desire to stay for a while once we walked in the door. The ambiance at Frothy Monkey is outstanding, with soaring ceilings, exposed wood beams, a lofted space for sitting, and tables galore. Don't turn around if there's a line because there is plenty of places to sit. You order at the counter and then your food is delivered to your table. We ordered Monkey Mochas, a delicious coffee - not too sweet at all. For food, I had the Julie sandwich on an everything bagel and it was amazing. Next time, I'll add avocado and take this sandwich to the next level. My husband ordered the Bob breakfast which comes with pancakes and he ate every bite! The service was great, too! A server brought our food at the same time another server brought our coffees - both ladies were incredibly nice making sure we were good before leaving the table. Another server came around refilling waters and she was so pleasant and checked in on us. We got our coffees to go and talked about how great Frothy Monkey was all the way back home! Tip to out-of-towners: the metered street parking was free on Sunday. The lots are still paid parking. And walk around in the Choo Choo terminal connected to the restaurant and check out the little courtyard. My husband and I kept commenting on how our son would love that area if he were joining us.
