Froth - Left to right: matcha latte, pink cellphone strawberry rose croissant - Cafes Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

What a disappointment in terms of coffee. I heard many great things about this place but mostly for its seating and aesthetic which is quite nice, but as for the coffee it's honestly not good. The espresso latte I ordered was the most acidic coffee I've ever tried, I was taken aback by how sour it was - I'm not sure if it was because of the espresso or milk or both but it was truly a 0/5. I also ordered the blueberry muffin and banana muffin which were both delicious and saved this review from being lower. read more

I live walking distance from here, which is really exciting. The cafe is in the lobby of this apartment complex. I wouldn't have even known it was here if I didn't just stumble upon it. It is sooo pretty inside. The layout, the furniture, the ambiance. All amazing. And it's the perfect place to study. Outlets and lamps everywhere. It's not too noisy at all. A perfect little cafe in the corner with some breakfast meals and coffee & tea. The barista was soo friendly too. Makes a place 100% more welcoming when the customer service is great. There's also outdoor seating which is spacious and cute as well. The apartments themselves in this building are pretty pricey but this building is in the West Loop, so it's understandable. The residents are very respectful and they welcome non-residents into the lobby to enjoy their cafe. I am most definitely coming back frequently to study and chill. So happy I found this place! read more

This place is in a lobby of a condo building! I got the Floating hibiscus matcha and avocado toast which both were delicious!! The place is also a great place to study or work with outdoor seating too. It's a hidden gem that is cozy and peaceful. I will definitely come back to try out the other drinks! read more

Beautiful, quiet cafe inside of a an apt building, seems a little hard to find but they have a sign outside. The ambience is like a library or hotel lobby with high ceilings and comfy chairs and tables all around, very conducive to working if you want a nice study spot. The Snickerdoodle latte with macadamia nut was actually really good, not super hot too. Flavors were there without feeling overwhelming. Quiet and peaceful setting was nice. read more

I felt like I'd stepped into a university library when I came in here. It's so pretty inside and it's got a very grandeur aesthetic. The space is so large there is plenty of seating everywhere. Also, saw a couple of people bring their dogs in with them and it gave the place an overall friendly feel. I ordered an Orange Clove Milk Tea. It was definitely not what I expected, but the flavors went really well together. The baristas are also super friendly! I would love to come back here again and try some of their other drinks. read more

This space is so beautiful and has the cutest outdoor patio (that's dog friendly too!) They have Oatly milk which is a huge bonus! They have food on the menu like bfast sammich (pictured) and other things. Plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. Super comfortable and I've never seen it crowded!! Great spot to get work done, study or have a meeting with friends/colleagues! Highly recommended! read more

This hidden gem is my absolute favorite coffee shop to work or to meet a friend at. The atmosphere...you just have to see it. Absolute perfection. And it's pup friendly. I had walked past it SO many times before I realized what it was. I love that it's buried into the residential side of the West Loop, away from other businesses. Truly a neighborhood spot. The food is fine. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I feel like someone else should speak to it. The atmosphere is sufficient to bring me there over and over again regardless. Highly recommend! read more

Froth in West Loop has a cocktail approach for coffee, and it definitely shows - the lattes are amazing! I popped in to do some work, and not only is the space stunning, but the Snickerdoodle Iced Latte and The Salvatore breakfast sandwich were just what I needed. What great spot to have a morning bite or tea/coffee. It's located in the lobby of an apartment building so there's people coming and going. Was there one Saturday morning and it was very quiet nice to get some schoolwork or work remotely. There's also a cool bar below that seemed pretty cool too. Might check that one out soon. read more

This is a lovely local coffee shop with some unique drinks and old standards. I have some food allergies, and the barista was so kind to help me find something on the food menu that would work for me. After spending four mornings here in the last two weeks meeting with a client, I can also say that the Wi-Fi was great and the ambiance just perfect. Just a great spot. read more

5 stars for the beautiful atmosphere and spacious seating areas. I felt safe eating here because tables were well distanced apart. I had breakfast sando which was better than i imagined looking at the picture. The gochujang sauce (korean pepper paste) added a nice kick to what could have been a bland sandwich, and the ciabatta had the perfect texture - crusty on outside and soft and chewy on the inside. I also tried blueberry jasmine macha latte. I barely tasted the blueberry and enjoyed the mild pleasant flavor of jasmine green tea. The drinks they offer seem to change seasonally so i'm looking forward to trying them later. This place is located in the main floor of a residential building. Very nice cafe. I'd definitely go back. read more

This looked a lot fancier than anticipated! The food tasted fantastic, and the coffee was excellent. The price was pretty fair especially for the Chicago area. I loved the atmosphere, but it felt like they ran out of some food items early on in the day. The food did take a little longer than expected, but they might've been short staffed which isn't necessarily in their control. I would definitely come back! read more

Experience: At first, I honestly thought this place didn't exist. It was actually kind of difficult to find. I just didn't realize it was part of the Flats and it was in the Duncan Apartments. Well renovated with great aesthetics. Appears to be a perfect place to get work done. Parking: Free residential parking in front of the business. Like everywhere, just ensure you observe parking signs. Parking may be difficult, but worth finding because the area is great to explore. Worth: 100% worth it! Let's just say I will be definitely be a regular here. Great place to study. Ambience of the place is perfect. Very modern. Perfect location. They even have a screen where they update bus arrivals and the weather. Amazing outdoor seating. Staff was professional and friendly. I had the Breakfast Sando (as pictured below) and it was delicious. Honestly, no complaints here! Such a hidden gem. read more

I tried three different drinks and all of them were not good at all. I tried the matcha and a vanilla latte and a daltons latte and they were all not yummy. I usually don't care if the drinks are not that good if the service is good, however the service was absolutely horrible. The second I walked in and started ordering, the barista made a very rude face and was treating me so horribly. I am a very nice person so I didn't say anything kept being nice, but it was so disrespectful and the service here is a solid 0/10. I would not recommend. read more

A very chill, spacious, and moody environment to study and escape the world. The drinks are creative and decent. The barista is nice.

Wonderful working place! Huge and quiet. Great atmosphere and coffee. Nice outside patio.

Could I be so lucky to live across the street from thee cutest coffee shop/lobby! Froth is absolutely gorgeous .. It has an old Chicago feel mixed with chic urban decor. It's so quiet and peaceful which makes the perfect workspace. I haven't tried the food yet, but the Vanilla & Mint Latte is a must have. The patio seating is eloquently placed in an open courtyard. It's like a little urban getaway in West Loop. read more

Long wait for one coffee (which I hate to complain about because the people running the front of house were incredibly nice and hospitable) and after 30 minutes finally two people left so my partner and I were finally able to sit down to drink my coffee. Maybe I happened to come in during a bad time because the place was very crowded and filled with people studying so there were no seats available to sit. I'll be honest, I was ready to hate the coffee but when I tasted it, I was really surprised with how delicious it was. I will probably never come back but I'm happy for anyone else who had a good experience. read more

I learned about Froth from a friend recently and loved coming here!! It's like a hidden gem located in the lobby of a condo building. The lobby is beautiful and cozy with large windows. You can come here to hang out, study, work, etc. They have plenty of different kinds of seating such as couches, desks/table/chairs, etc. It's very spacious and has the perfect vibe for a coffee shop. I got a simple chai latte ($4.50 for 8oz) which was perfectly smooth, just the right level of sweetness, and delicious. My friend got a golden milk froth tail which was amazing! The blend of spices in it are wonderful and really stand out! They have several other unique drink options which I would love to try in the future. Unfortunately, the coffee was not good at all. the espresso is very sour and they steam the milk too hot. i asked for a new one and it was still way too hot to drink. :( i am very disappointed and sad.
