This simply is not my style of coffee shop. They do have good coffee and espresso drinks. I would prefer a more down to earth feel that is relaxed and laid back, but this is simply a matter of personal preference. They are a busy little coffee shop, noise leave is a bit loud at times, it is in a touristy part of town so they get a lot of traffic, which is good for them, but not if you want to read a book or work while drinking your coffee. read more

Definitely a solid option for a coffee lover in North Conway. My husband and I both ordered the iced "fog lifter" - A dark roast coffee with a double shot of espresso. This coffee along with slightly friendlier service gives the edge to Frontside Grind compared to their competitor across the street on recent visits to both. I want to love Frontside, and I do enjoy my experience when I stop by, but there is something off about the taste of the coffee. I like strong coffee, but FG's coffee is very bitter and just tastes..different..than what I'm used to. And no, I do not drink that DD or Starbucks crap, I go to all sorts of great local coffee shops in Providence and other areas of New England. I will continue going there when I'm in the area, but again it just tastes different than what I'm used to. Also, their everything bagels are extremely salty. The service is always great and it is a very cute place to hang out and read while enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. I'm always sorry to give less stars for a place that I like..but don't love...but I can't in my right mind give four or five stars when the coffee doesn't wow me. read more

I haven't been to North Conway in over a year so this coffee shop was a new unexpected treat for me and my caffeine loving friend! Great selection of brews and assortment of goodies. I loved their ground coffees from all over the world. We tried the bee's knees coffee and wow, it was delicious and oh so sweet! I was almost tempted to try the maple bacon flavor but couldn't bring myself to to do it. Maybe next time. The wait time was a bit longer than I anticipated but the coffee was more than reasonably priced, service nice, decor very cool and the final product was delicious so it was worth the wait. Excellent hoppin' coffee shop on the cranmore side of the road. They play mtb videos on TV, serve hot or iced coffee and lattes a plenty and offer soy, almond, or coconut milk alternatives. Coffee was super smooth. Staff was friendly and efficient. They have a selection of bagel sandwiches including an avocado sirracha creation that certainly hit the spot. i was up in NC for 4 days doing an AIARE certification class and frequented frontside a few times. they have a good tea selection as well as a pastry selection.. the shop opens up to the hotel and there is plenty of large leather couch seating in rooms that smell of rich mahogany, a room that would make ron burgandy proud. the staff is very friendly and they make a pretty damn tasty breakfast sandwich as well. i can't comment on their coffee, next time i'll try some.. def will be back if i'm ever in NC. read more

Super cute place with nice outdoor seating (although I wish there were umbrellas or some shade). Went for lunch and it was great although the selection of bagels at noon was slim. Had the chicken salad wrap which was very good. Went the following day around 1 pm and they had a sign up saying they had run out of salad and they had also run out of bagels. The counter staff isn't super friendly, helpful or speedy, but they were attentive. The moral of the story is, go early for the best selection. read more

I love a coffee place that roasts their own beans, and takes pride in every drink they make.. Frontside grind is doing just that. They have a refreshing well decorated ambience inside, and a food and beverage menu with enough variety to not have me wishing for something else. I had a hot chai fu, and my husband got an iced maple latte. Neither disappointed. Alongside my chai, I had an apple fritter and soft pretzel (I'm a sucker for a soft pretzel so that was getting ordered in addition to whatever else we got.) Husband had a sausage egg n cheese on a whole wheat everything bagel and seemed happy with that. I also applaud them for having a cream cheese alternative, a bagel toppled with avocado, kosher salt, hot pepper flakes and sriracha. I would have gotten that for sho' had the soft pretzel not changed my plans. No complaints from this picky pregnant lady.. A very hard thing to do! Service was great as well. read more

Stopping in for some breakfast and coffee here on the way back from our camping expedition it was pleasant and yummy! With outside seating at the top end of Nth. Conway Villiage the service was friendly and prompt. We arrived with only one person infront of us but by the time our food was ready it was pretty full, which disrupted the flow of getting condiments and access to the trash. I would suggest laying everything out differently and maybe removing some of the "posh visuals" to help out. Nice and all but too much. But I would certainly head back again! read more

Long lines, inefficient setup and a staff that shows no interest in improving. I have never written a review before but we have a second home in North Conway and I come out for coffee every time I am up north. This place has gone from bad to worse since I have been coming. I was looking for a place to get a good cup of coffee in north Conway and my boyfriend and I happened upon this little hip spot! I knew the coffee wouldn't disappoint because the line was out the door! I ordered just a regular latte and my boyfriend ordered a hot chocolate and they were both great. My only complaint is that quite a few people who had placed orders after us were receiving their beverages before we received ours I was beginning to think they lost our order. Love this place! We have a vacation home in Conway and always make a point to stop in for their delicious maple latte. Such a warm and inviting space as well mixed with delicious roasted coffee. Should be on everyone's itinerary when visiting town. Also would recommend a glazed donut to go with your coffee...their baked goods are delicious treats as well. read more
