Tell me why the tween at the register closest to the entrance when we ordered a little after 10AM today is smiles for miles with me, but when my wife asks if they have lattes or flavored coffee, this girl gets short with her? Also we really need to drop calling women "ma'am." I have not met a woman that likes that. So when this tween says "no ma'am we don't" in an annoyed tone with her how do you think she took that? My wife is 26 for context- so why some girl that is probably only a few years younger thinks that is appropriate is beyond me- it even made her cry after the interaction. In all my years of customer service I have only called women "miss." So anyways- this girl was rude and she should learn that you have to treat all parties equally- man or woman, and let them ask questions without being rude. You are a cashier- that is part of the job. If the business cares to track this, I have attached a photo of the receipt for you so that you may tell this girl that sort of behavior, no matter how large or small the interaction, really put a damper on someone's day. Think before you speak.

The place inside is very small but there is plenty of seating outside. I order the Pinkham Notch sandwich ($6.95) served with choice of side and got the free large iced coffee (saved $2.50). I got the food to go to bring back to the shed. The Pinkham Notch was a pressed sandwich, but it was disappointing to me. It was like they sliced a piece of bread laterally into two thin slices, which had deli ham and Swiss cheese. The cup of potato salad was very generic, similar to what can be found at the supermarket. However, the iced coffee was the only thing that was good, nice to drink on a hot sunny day.

Just recently moved to the area and was going to get a cup of coffee until I saw the rather large BLM sign in the window. I find that extremely offensive and racist. My opinion ALL life's matter and the minute you put a color in front, it's racist. I feel a local establishment should not advertise their political opinions. read more

Great atmosphere here, drinks were made quickly, and there is ample room to relax. Prices were fair considering the quality and area. I love when coffee stores give you real cups instead of single use paper and Frontside did just that. Next time I will definitely be back for my mid-day perk of caffeine. read more

I was given the containers with a knife, which is fine, but keep that in mind when being asked to leave a tip. Also the cream cheese was unfortunately just Philadelphia brand with additives I avoid so I ended up not using the cream cheese anyway... wish I knew it wasn't homemade before I bought it. The bagel also tasted like it was Philadelphia brand at all, so don't order bagel if you want something authentic. The Portuguese muffin was incredible as was the croissant, so maybe I should not have diverted from the breakfast sandwich options. Overall though, I would not be back if in area. The experience put a bad taste in my mouth, which is hard to do regarding breakfast.

My only suggestion is to split with a friend, unless you're used to a lot of milk and caffeine. I had a hard time finishing them all and four shots is a lot for me- I'm about to buzz right out of my seat! Second- the service. I sat here for a while and watched the staff. They couldn't have been better. I was welcomed when I approached, as was every other person who came in during the time I was there, even down to the vendors, and even when customers came in large waves that could have easily overwhelmed them. They were personable, friendly, and genuinely seemed to take pride in offering a good product. Which leads me to my third observation... While I was here, a gentleman came in who I now believe to have been the owner. If so, sir- I'd like to commend you on your management style. I watched how you spoke to the staff and while it was only a few moments, you showed respect, thoughtfulness, and kindness. My first job was in food service nearly 30 years ago and to this day, I still remember my manager. He led with those same qualities. Overall, great product.
