love this place went for the first time to get a keratin in june 2017 beautiful people and beautiful salon I've gone twice since to take my friend to do her hair and my mother they loved it.....however there was a argument when a customer came in with a groupoun she was so rude to the stylist and owner telling them they were not educated and rushed her stylist to blow dry her hair i don't know how the stylist and owner kept cool and handled her with kindness.....two weeks later i took my friend to get her hair done and that same customer came in with a BABY yelling and cursing saying whatever treatment didn't work she wanted her money back....the owner explained she used a groupon and she had already came a week ago and they gave her a FREE BRAZILIAN KERATIN since she washed her hair so soon it and got in chlorine water it had damaged it therefore they could not refund her and they couldn't keep doing her hair for free that lady did not want to leave she picked her baby up from the stroller and started SHAKING HER BABY who looked less than a year old!!!! she was making her baby cry i felt so scared for that child let alone the owner got so upset when she saw her pick the baby up and shake her she told her to leave or she will call the police which i already called because that lady needed help when the owner got close to her and said don't do that to the baby she grabbed her stroller and threw it in the middle of the street and came back in .....i don't know what kind of MOTHER SHE IS but you don't do that!! THAT LADY NEEDS THAT BABY TAKEN AWAY!! HOW CAN YOU PUT YOUR OWN BABY AT RISK IF YOU GOING TO PICK A FIGHT AT LEAST DONT BRING YOUR BABY!!!! I HOPE THE OWNER FILES A POLICE REPORT OR CALLS ACS ON THAT LADY!! I WISH I WOULD'VE STOOD TO TELL THE POLICE THAT LADY IS SICK ! read more

I'm so glad that I happened upon this place. I had just gotten a really aweful root touch up on my highlights at the Carson Institute. It wasn't pretty...I had bled spots, yellow tone and the roots were highlighed way more thickly than the rest of my hair. Eileen and the owner Mary took me in right away when I walked up looking for an appointment. The atomosphere was really comfortable, and had a warm neighborhoody feel. Eileen was able to take my hair back to a really great, very natural looking light brown. however, because of all the damage done from the previous job, the roots still looked an unwanted reddish. I was in a rush that day, and Eileen encouraged me to call back next week if I was unhappy or had questions. Over the weekend I realized that although the overall color was great I was really bothered by the reddish roots. First thing Monday I went back and she worked with me to tone out the red while preserving the color i loved throughout the rest of my very long hair. She was honest, precise and tactfully gave her professional opinion while making double sure it was what I wanted. I felt so comfortable with her and the final results are great. Also the price is awesome and theres no pressure to buy products (although I did get a leave in conditioner with SPF at a great price). I really feel like I couldn't have gotten a better color correction even if I payed way more in the city. read more

I just had my first Pedicure at the age of 58. Needless to say as a guy and being a bit older I was hesitant to go, but I can honestly say it was a life changing experience. First of all Head To Toe is an intimate salon with a staff that appears to truly love working together and pampering their clients. Plenty of parking and in a neighborhood setting. Ok back to the pedicure. Kim (the manicurist) was as fantastic. She knew that this was my first time and assured me that I was among several men that come to her and I was also not the oldest man by far. So I took off my shoes and jumped in with both feet (get it). The warm soak combined with the massage chair started the experience off right. The obvious nail trimming and exfoliating was what I expected. What I loved more and didn't expect was the calf massage, foot massage, hot stones, lotion. Needless to say I am hooked and I have to thank Kim and the entire staff at Head to Toe for making my first (but definitely not last) pedicure. So enjoyable. The owner (I don't remember her name, Mary or something) made me uncomfortable with her remarks about "Fucking Jamaican Thief! They never want to work, all they want to do is steal from the rest of us." It made me very uncomfortable, and she really shouldn't be saying things like that. Additionally, she charged me way more money than advertised, even though my hair length fell within the stipulations of the advertised price. I ended up paying $60 more than I was ready to. However, Amanda, the woman who cut my hair was great, she does really good work. I might consider going back there just for her. Better yet, if she opens her own salon, I will go with her. All in all, I do not recommend this salon. The business owner is a bigoted, extortionist, ignoramus. read more

I moved to the slope 1 year ago. My hair was a mess and I went on an exploratory trip to find a hair dresser in the area that could manage curly hair well. A lot of really nice looking places were super expensive and you could tell you were paying for ambiance. I walked by this place and saw that while not posh looking, they use really good hair products. I had Eileen do my hair, and she works MAGIC! You tell her what you want and she goes above and beyond what you imagined. She's super nice and very friendly. When I got the bill for my haircut I was floored... 45 dollars for one of the best haircuts I've ever had? DONE. Now my husband and my best friend both see Eileen and she does a great job with them too. You've got me hooked! read more

I have been going to see Nicole at From Head to Toe for my haircuts for as long as I've lived in the neighborhood because she is the BEST (over three years). So glad I found her. She specializes in men's haircuts, using a scissor and a blending blade - seriously she is an artist. I trust her completely with my hair and she never lets me down. I honestly look better coming out of there then when I came in, every single time. By a country mile! I've been going here for over 4 years and every time I come out with a cut that I think is the best yet. Mary (the owner) is a fantastic hairdresser, listens to what you want, makes suggestions when necessary, and produces great results. As another reviewer said, she's also fun to chat with during the cut and makes you feel very comfortable. She runs a great business. Not to mention that the price of a cut for short hair is pretty much unbeatable in park slope (under $50). I can't recommend this place enough. Mary did a great job with my hair! She is very knowledgable and experienced with all different types of hair, which came as a surprise to me because mine is especially curly & thick and she handled it so well! I got a Brazilian blowout and LOVE my results. After my blowout, Mary also did a great job of shaping my hair and I left the salon looking like a new person! I love this place! It is small and quaint and the staff there is more than helpful. Located in a wonderful area of Park Slope, it is easily accessible and cute. William helped me one day cut my hair and when I didn't have any idea, he was so cool in asking me questions and referencing things I like and he ended giving me a super cut! I have curly hair, and usually when I get a hair cut I put my glasses back on at the end only to discover that my head looks like a thirteen year-old just used a lawn-mower on it for the first time.
