Leila is a dream!!! I've been coming to Delilah and booking with Leila Flatsousis for 5+ years now, and she's seen me through so much of my hair journey. When I decided I wanted to transition from black to blonde, she took the challenge in stride and safely transformed my hair in one session, even with years of black dye deposits! In a few short months I was icy platinum blonde! Leila is a caring, passionate stylist who I am always excited to see for my haircuts and root touchups. She is endlessly knowledgeable, talented, and incredible at what she does. If you need ANY color service or cut I highly highly recommend her!! read more

I have been a satisfied customer even before Leila opened Delilah Salon. I followed her from another salon when she opened her own. I currently get haircuts, but have had coloring done in the past and was always very satisfied . Leila is welcoming and pleasant; her pricing is fair and her salon is easy to access using my wheelchair, which is very important to me. read more

So when I was originally messaging I was told haircut plus blow dry was 85$. They said if the hair is long and thick they will charge for that. Ok. SHE DIDNT DISCLOSE that 'hey, your hair is considered long and thick, it will be this much more, do you still want a blow dry?' No. She just does it and charges me 115$. That's a jump from what I was told and I would not have gotten a blow dry! Ridiculous not to give your clients the option. Do not recommend. Very unprofessional. read more

AMAZING!! I've been trying to go platinum blonde for over two years--slowly but surely as to not damage my hair and the owner is the only one to be able to successfully lighten my hair every-time while keeping it healthy!! It's insane!! AND THE PRICES ARE GREAT PLEASE GO HERE read more

Cutting hair can be an extremely stressful process especially when it's hits the point it's too long to manage anymore. I called in the morning and was able to schedule an appointment the same day and was really excited to get my rid of my quarantine hair. I showed some inspiration photos at the start and confirmed the length I wanted cut off. I was asked my input throughout the haircut and I'm very satisfied by how nicely it turned out! read more

I think my stylist's name was Lena and she usually only works Sundays but was covering for her boss. I called and made an appointment since they did not have same day availability. She ended up calling me back and asked if I wanted to come in because she had a cancellation. I was thrilled! I have not had my hair professionally in YEARS. I was recently laid off and am turning 30 and wanted to do something special for myself. I showed her a reference photo of Gabby from the current season of the Bachelorette and she DELIVERED. I love it and have been getting so many positive comments! Definitely will return! read more

Back in July 2024, I was looking for a CD friendly salon near my neighborhood, Delilah salon caught my eyes. So I picked up my phone to make the call. I was so lucky that Leila answered my call. I told her that I am an occasional cross dresser for CD parties and I needed a ladies' hair cut. Leila just told me to come over. I was so excited.. She just did a very nice & classy cut for me. Thank you so much Leila. Yan read more

Oh my gosh, what to even say about this place? Each time I go in there, I either have a specific instruction of what I want and she NAILS IT! OR I will say "um I don't really know, can you aim for this and just make me look better?" and nails it that way too. I had a HORRIBLE dye job done by another salon, which is supposed to be super highly rated in Brooklyn (I won't name names HERE but you can look at my other review, UGH). Anyway, Delilah was SO professional and kind, she didn't make me self conscious about anything (baby hairs, damaged follicles, horrible dye job) and helped me understand what she was doing and what she thought would help me. Not just what would LOOK GOOD, but what would actually help heal my hair from the damage. Its a very clean salon and the business abides by COVID regulations. She was so enthusiastic about helping me and then we went outside to take pictures. Overall, the experience felt safe and fun, read more

I've gotten so many compliments on my blonde highlights from Leila! Will definitely go back. A few watch outs (but nothing worth lowering the five star rating): 1) The prices are not cheap, and make sure you confirm them with her ahead of time 2) Its kind of a confusing experience, because the salon itself doesn't really look like a place that could demand $250 for highlights... but the quality is there and Leila really knows what she is doing. 3) If you're someone who wants a really fancy salon experience, this is not your place. read more

UPDATE: The defensiveness in the salon's response is exactly what I'm talking about. And yes, my real name is different from a fictional heroine in a 19th century novel. Lol. Their website has them open every day of the week, by the way. Delilah Salon--you should change that. Yelp and Google info isn't as reliable as your own freaking website. Luckily for them, there are loads of 5 star reviews about their service, and most will gloss over this one as an unfortunate incident. It probably looks worse for me than for them, but business practices matter and making an appointment for a day you're closed and not apologizing for it is something I think others should know about. Hopefully it won't happen to anyone else. Original review: FYI, this review is purely about customer service. I never made it to the salon to get my hair done. So, the service AT the salon might be absolutely fabulous. I wish I knew. I called yesterday and made an appointment for today. I showed up and lo and behold, the salon is closed Tuesdays. When I emailed the salon about this, they informed me that it was *my* mistake, that she told me the salon was closed on Tuesdays and that my appointment was Wednesday. This is not only incorrect--the person on the phone said, "tomorrow at 11am" and I'm not free Wednesday--but it's pretty terrible customer service. And it's not someone I want to do business with. I was excited about a local salon that was good and didn't break the bank, but it looks like it's true what they say--you get what you pay for. Sometimes that means you get burned. read more

So efficient and so successful! Leila listened to everything I told her about my hair and then cut and styled everything to perfection. I'm extremely pleased, haven't had this good of a haircut in a long time. read more

Leila cut my hair back in April and it still looks amazing. She listened to everything I said, and understood my hair texture. The price was so reasonable I nearly fainted. I had hair down to my waist, and am often price gouged for having long hair. There was no part of the service that was not explained to me thoroughly in terms of process and price. The salon is right next to the train stop which is very convenient as it was raining that day. Go see Leila, you will not be disappointed, definitely one of the best haircuts I have ever gotten! read more

I called ahead of time to make sure this salon takes walk-in's. The receptionist who answered the phone was accommodating and friendly while she made sure that Leila (the owner) had the time to see me. Within minutes, I was seated in the chair and had an in-depth conversation about what style of cut I was looking for. Leila really takes her time to assess your hair type and also makes sure she is giving you the kind of cut and style you want. I really only needed a trim to make my lob a bob again, but we went through meticulous options and styles before deciding to proceed. I noticed the pictures of Greece on the wall and as it turns out, she lived there for a while and speaks the language fluently -- just like me :) It was so nice to be able to converse in Greek (not something I have the chance to do very often...) with a such a genuinely friendly, warm and talented person. After a delightful chat, she was done with my cut and I was really in love with the style she gave me. She just has a good eye for hair and a knack for styling. She even gave me styling tips and cheap product tricks to use to add texture and volume, without pushing products. I am really happy with my hair cut and think I found a new hair place for bob maintenance. I think Delilah is a hidden gem in Park Slope and I would highly recommend a hair cut from Leila. I will definitely be back! read more

I was searching for a new stylist as I just moved back to Brooklyn. I took a chance at a salon I have never heard of in park slope called salon Delilah. And lucky me I was paired with senior stylist Mark who by chance was there on Thursday (not his regular day he told me.) He did beyond MAGIC matching the color of my hair. And he gave me a precision cut that I absolutely love. I will definitely be back again and again. read more

I saw Elena who made sure she understood what I was looking for before proceeding. I also was very pleased with the color she used for one of my chunky highlights....a perfect red! She's probably one of the few stylists who actually listened when I asked her not to cut too much off my hair. She was very pleasant and accomodating. The atmosphere was of one a down to earth salon and it was clean and cozy. The salon is affordable and I plan to return and see Elena. read more

Leila has fixed my hair, twice now from at home experiments gone wrong. I went from orange to a light peach blonde, thanks to her. Edit: thanks for clarifying on the pricing since I left wondering how it ended up being much more. But now I understand there was more to the process. As I mentioned Leila is such a sweetheart and really makes the experience really special! She knows what she is doing! She even took the time to blow dry my hair afterwards and took great photos of her hard work! My hair felt so vibrant and fun after the hair dye and the salon is super cute and clean. Be sure to get a quote beforehand to get an idea of roughly how much it'll end up quoting since it might be more than anticipated. I definitely recommend for those wanting a colorful and edgy look! :) read more

I have been cutting and coloring my own (graying) hair for about 3 years (thanks, pandemic!), and recently realized my hair looked pretty bad and I needed the help of a professional. I wasn't sure anyone could fix my color. I saw Leila for cut and color. The color was quite a process! She worked very hard putting a truly incredible amount of foils on my hair to blend my old, orangey color with a new blond color. She used a process I have never seen to then tone the darker parts. After she initially explained what she was going to do, I wasn't sure how it would look, but it turned out great! I showed her a reference photo for the cut and she did exactly what I wanted. I walked out of the salon truly feeling like a new person. I really appreciate she took the time to make sure it was right without once making me feel rushed. I have been to many hairdressers over the years and finally found one I will stick with! Thank you, Leila! read more

Delilah is my go to salon for hair cuts. The salon itself is really cute and the service is great. The owner Leila is fantastic. She's always helpful especially when I'm not entirely sure what I want to do with my hair, and she really spends a lot of time making sure your hair is just the way you want it. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes to be seen, and I usually call the same day to make an appointment and have been successful each time. I only go on weekdays though so I'm not sure about weekends. The pricing is pretty reasonable for NYC. I have pretty long hair and a hair cut with wash, blow dry, and style comes out to around $65 if I pay with cash. If you pay with credit card there's an extra charge but it's not too much more. Delilah was the first hair salon I went to when I first moved to NYC two years ago and I haven't been to another salon since! read more

Good prices, nice staff and good covid practices. Delilah was nice and cut my hair perfectly

Went here a little while ago to get new hair for the summer. I think they do amazing job on blondes from the photos. Got 3/4 highlights because mine had grown a lot. Paid 200 for the highlights and they looked amazing. Throughout it was very even. Took time to really blow out my hair so it looked really good when I left. Got a cut too which was $85. Would definitely go back to get color done again! read more

Leila is amazing! She is unbelievably friendly and patient, and took the time to really listen to what I wanted from my cut (8 inches off). We discussed how the chop/styling would be affected by my hair texture and she did an amazing job setting my expectations and delivering. I needed somewhere local to get my hair cut during COVID, and I could not have been happier with the people, cut, and atmosphere at Delilah. I'll definitely be going back! read more

I'm obsessed with this salon, and have never been disappointed! I've been coming here for over 6 years (I even made appointments after I moved to LA, and then to Utah, whenever I happened to be in town) and I've always had an amazing cut, and outstanding color for a really reasonable price. Leila is the best - she always takes her time and goes out of her way to accommodate my crazy schedule. I wouldn't go anywhere else! read more

Leila is gradually turning me blonde. But she has her work cut out for her, because when I landed in her chair last week, a buildup of black dye, the hardest to remove, as well as some red DIY = FAIL highlights were waiting for her. She explained to me that she didn't want to fry my hair, but would return the base color to its natural brown and do subtle caramel highlights. The outcome was gorgeous! The color is much more natural and has golden brown highlights, embodying a sun-kissed look appropriate for summer. She gave me the option of returning to get even blonder highlights, or just letting nature and the sun do its trick. read more
