This place has it all! We enjoyed the sweet potato ale, pumpkin ale, coffee stout, and blood orange IPA. The beers were all as good as the big breweries you would go to in downtown Denver. Was here in a party of 5, we all had drinks and eventually ordered food. We were told the kitchen was backed up and our food might take 30 minutes. We were ok with that since we weren't planning on leaving for a while. Eventually, one order of food came out, then about 15 minutes later, the second dish came out. My dish (the third order) never arrived. We waited over an hour for it. Finally, we just decided to leave and asked to close our check. I asked the waiter not to charge me for the wings I ordered because we never got them. He said "oh ok" and told us our totals. NO APOLOGY for food not arriving, no apology for us sitting there and waiting over an hour just for my dish to arrive so I could eat. I left there hungry and pissed off. I've had this waiter before and he has such a nonchalant, couldn't give a darn about anything attitude. I have been to Frolic many times. Their pizza is my all time favorite pizza and their beer is fantastic! I'm a wheat beer drinker, so I really like the Blackberry Wheat. Great local place to go for a drink or snacks after work. We went at 5:15 on a Friday evening and it was easy to grab a seat. I wouldn't go much later, because the place filled up. We enjoyed drinks and appetizers (as a meal). The nachos were really great, and the pizza was delicious. Had it been warmer we would have gone to the patio to play cornhole. I couldn't love this place more. They are dog friendly, have great beer and great gluten free drinks and food, and bend over backwards to provide great service. They have a huge outdoor patio with lots of shade. They provide water for your doggies and water for you, too! And after another customer was nasty about my dog being over exuberant, they even comped my drink because of him being a bad person, and to try to make me happy. Up until eight months ago, we went 4-5 times a month trying to make it work but we had numerous issues with the arrogant owner as well as his staff (people follow leaderships example). I've been watching Chris build Frolic from the ground up for the last 9 months or so, and needless to say, it's a neighborhood gem (about 100 yards from my house, actually). Chris has put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this place, and the end product shows. Favorite beer is the Citra IPA, with the subtle hint of citra in the finish, with a nice hoppy bite up front. The pizza and dough-based appetizers are surely the stars of the show, and you can tell Chris and the gang have been doing a lot of experimenting and refining to make that perfect dough - a nice compliment to the science and perfection that goes into brewing, of course. The place is covered head-to-toe with flat screen TVs, making it an awesome place to catch any game. My luck hasn't panned out yet to take advantage of their expansive outdoor patio, but, you know, Colorado. Cool touch with the teacher-pride flags and decor, giving support to our local neighborhood educators tasked with making our kids better citizens. I honestly walked in with my family and walked right back out. Nobody to greet you, smelled horrible, and I honestly don't think anybody was working. Their menu was all pizza... even though they are advertised as a brewery. When I touched the menu... that was it for me. It was EXTREMELY sticky with sauce all over it and I couldn't believe how disgusting it was. Decided to finally try this place since it's pretty close go home. Our server, Missy, was downright rude and made the experience pretty unpleasant. She had an attitude whenever she came to the table, seemed bothered whenever we had a question and copped an attitude with every response. We organized a party at Frolic and used the event room. Most other places required a minimum spend guarantee, so I was pleased to see Frolic let us have the room for free. Paige and Kelly worked hard for our party of 40 and were phenomenal. The video games on the tv's kept the kids entertained for hours. It's like drinking beer in a daycare. There are always a ton of unsupervised little kids screaming and running around. Thought maybe things would've have changed, alas, no. A very nice neighborhood brewery! Good ambiance - tons of outdoor seating on their large patio, surrounded by climbing hops plants. They have an in-house kitchen so you can order a pizza or some snacks, vs having a food truck or have food delivered. The pilsner was just the thing for a hot Friday summer's evening. This brewery has an amazing blonde. First time visit. I'm not a fan of IPA's. So we ordered a taster of various beers. The beers don't have any specific elaborate name. I told the server I wasn't into IPA. I ordered all non IPA and when I ordered the blonde, I expected a typical wheat and was totally surprised. It had the IPA flavor without the hops!!
