Had Great Service! Had the Fried Zucchini and the Fish and Chips both were fantastic!

The BBQ here is fair. It tends toward dry rather than tender. The roasted and batterless-fried chicken are better, but have off days when they, too, are dry. The fish& chips start out really delicious, but I usually get about halfway through before the grease gets to be too much. We used to go here fairly often, but it isn't really on our list of choices any more. read more

First time visit today and we were pleasantly surprised. Delicious food, prices as expected, good service, and nice atmosphere. I had the fish and chips, which was perfectly cooked. My wife had the chicken tostada salad and she loved it. Yes, these opinions are subjective, but that's all we can offer. We'll definitely come back next time we're in the area. Dined in on a Friday evening. Nice relaxing environment for date night. Food was mediocre this trip. Baby Back Ribs were a little dry and tough. Fried Chicken was good but lacked seasoning. Try their Zucchini; it's awesome. Service was really good. read more

Ordered the fish and chips. Came out hot and crispy! The fires were amazing, loved the fries... did I mention the fries are amazing! You get three large portions of fish. The outside batter is so crispy and the seasoning on it is great. The fish though, was a bit tough and dry. It tasted like it was frozen and not fresh! It was still edible and my husband destroyed his order of fish and chips. The tarter sauce was so light and fresh and the dill was a nice touch. The only other thing that led to a lower score was the fact that they charge for refills. Ordered an Arnold Palmer, and no where in the menu does it say no refills, but when we got the bill it charged us for two drinks, while my husband only ordered water. The service was friendly and very attentive. It's a great spot, that we will check out again! I think our next order will be the burgers. read more

Really good food nice restaurant service to so so but still good enough I go for food I like good service but it was still good

I had the 1/4 roasted chicken dinner. My wife had the western bacon cheeseburger. One word to describe this meal: AMAZING!!! The food was fresh and delicious. The staff were great - our server was very attentive and personal but not intrusive. We gave her a 55% tip. The price was very reasonable, especially for the atmosphere, service and quality/quantity of food you get. The only thing disappointing was not finding this place sooner than we did. We look forward to returning to Frisella's! read more

Frisella's Roastery - 1/4 Roasted Chicken meal. Western Bacon Cheeseburger. - Barbeque Near Me - Glendora, California

My family and I really enjoyed eating at this restaurant. The ambiance, the service and the food is very good....it's a yummy place!

Came to dinner tonight at 9:04. Yelp shows they close at 10:00. There were quite a few people in the restaurant when we walked it. As we walked in we were stopped by a lady stating the kitchen was closed. As we walked away she asked the table for their order. Nice job read more

Not the same as it used to be the tri-tip was dry, and the chips were cold. Hope they can pull it together.

NEVER AGAIN!!! We had been loyal customers for several years, even through COVID. But since the ownership changed a few years ago, the quality of the food has been inconsistent and the service spotty, depending on the server. Tonight we, a party of 6, arrived at 4:20 pm before the dinner rush. Noah greeted us at our table and took our drink orders, then brought our drinks and took our food order. That was the last we saw of Noah, or any server, at our table for at least 45 minutes, never receiving our food or any drink refills. In the meantime, other guests were arriving, ordering and receiving their food. We finally got Noah's attention and asked him when our food was coming. He said they were really busy, part of the order was ready and he wasn't sure when the rest would be ready. We asked to speak to the manager or owner and he stated that he was the acting manager. We asked him how he would feel if we left the restaurant. He replied that he wouldn't like it but he couldn't do anything to stop us, then he walked away again to service other tables. We waited a few more minutes then got up and left the restaurant and had a wonderful meal down the street. Wouldn't a good manager be apologetic and go to the kitchen and push things along? This is not the first time we were disappointed with the service and decided to give them another try, but no more. The only reason I gave one star is because zero is not an option. read more

I went here expecting it to be good, but it exceeded my expectations. It has such a cozy feel to the place and the staff is well dressed and very professional. The food though... WOW! The chicken was my favorite. It was flavorful, smokey, and not dry at all. The ribs were cooked extremely well, and the mac & cheese was excellent. My wife had the Fish & chips and it was also perfect. The fries were my fav. I was truly impressed with this place. Highly recommend read more

We have always loved Frisellas but our visit last Saturday was just not good. The service was very slow and not very attentive. The tri tip was dry and not nearly as good as it used to be and for $31.00 you would expect more. My wife had the BBQ chicken sandwich and said it was dry also. It breaks my heart to give them less then 5 stars as we have had lots of wonderful meals here. We will be back to give it one last try and hopefully I can add to this review and change my rating. I see there have been some similar reviews to mine but I hope they are working on getting back on track... read more

Well, let me start by saying that I'm a huge barbecue fan and I've tried barbecue not only in this state but in others. The place is a nice little area of uptown, Glendora. It's clean your staff is nice and they serve you rather quickly. My only problem was that the steak was a bit on the dry side, the bread was gummy and chewy. It was hard to even take a part with your teeth. If you're in the mood for chicken come here that was pretty good but if you're in the mood for some good tri-tip, I would stay away. Have a great day and good eats. read more

Always love this place. Their shoe-string onion rings are a great starter and we love the fried zucchini and mozzarella sticks. The kids dig in on those too. We've never had a bad meal here and the servers are so sweet! Fyi the kids chicken fingers are real battered chicken strips so my kids were iffy on it at first. Their tortilla soup is so yummy and the trip-tip sandwich is one of my fave. Their salads are good too! We love to go when they have live music! read more

Been There a Couple Times was A Good Experience What I Got was Very Delicious. Good vibes. Service was Great As Well.

My girlfriend and I tried this place out, we heard they had a great happy hour. Well they were right, this place did have a good happy hour, good drinks and pretty good service. The dollar pork sandwiches were the best deal I've found in a long time for a happy hour. Getting two of these sandwiches is enough for a full meal. Margaritas were solid and with a good pour. Took my Mama their and she loved it. We had such a good time. Cons: Service can be a little slow while sitting outside, only reason I give 4 stars. Service could have been a little faster. Bar is good and food is also very good. The Fish tacos were also good on the happy hour menu. read more

Just watched the bartender open a big jug of cherries and dig his hand in to fill the jar on the bar. Then watched him dip his hands into the dip sink for washing glasswear. Not washing his hands. Just dipping his hands in chemicals. Then back to touching all the bar fruits. Kind of gross. read more

I think people just like this place because of the drinks and the hangout because the food was extremely bland, we ordered Barbecue ribs and chicken and the ribs were overcooked and dry, the only thing that saved them was the barbecue sauce. The mashed potatoes were so bland and dry that box mashed potatoes taste better. The Green Beans were just dumped in water and boiled without salt. The coleslaw was watery and had no flavor. To top things off, the following day we both felt sick with heartburn and diarrhea Needless to say we will not be going back! read more

Such a perfect old town place to go to in Glendora. The service was quick everyone was so nice and helpful. We had a big group but it didn't matter with how quick the food came out. The smoky flavor in the ribs and BBQ beans were out of this world. Chicken was not dry at all and I loved that they didn't smother it with sauce. This is now our go to bbq place. My father is Texan and is very picky about bbq but he asks to come here once a week now. read more

Despite a recent rough experience over the phone with this spot, I made reservations for a family get-together here tonight and I'm glad I did. I try to get my extended family together once every few months to break bread and this was a suggestion of the group. Their portion sizes are unreal (you can honestly share amongst a few people), the food is simply delicious, and it's in a cute area of Downtown Glendora. Our server tonight was Katie and she was excellent! She was ready 20 minutes early for our reservation, was extremely friendly and accommodating, and kept on top of our group of 7. We will definitely ask for her the next time we make a reservation. I couldn't decide between the tri-tip or the chicken so I ordered the combo plate. I was able to share the chicken with a cousin and the remainder of my tri-tip with my mom. I did NOT share the sides though because the mashed potatoes and white corn were simply too good! My husband and I ordered some of their fresh potato chips for the table and couldn't resist their fresh tortilla chips and salsa. Don't stop in without at least trying their homemade potato chips! There was a musician playing the guitar when we walked in and my husband and I got to enjoy him before our family joined us. This was a nice touch for such a cool spot. Since the last time we were here (which was a couple years ago), they've added a cool bar area and fixed up the seating a bit. While I probably won't call them again about turkeys (see previous review for context), I will definitely come back for another great dining experience. This is a great spot for date night, a family dinner, or even a larger group gathering. read more

I love their service. Their always very nice & genuinely seem to care, even when it's just take out too. I love their steak salad

Great food and service, portions are always good. The inside of the restaurant is very clean and well maintained. I really like the casual atmosphere and entertainment, always worth staying for. This place hits all the marks for us. Young or old it's a great place to go. read more

Great food and probably One of the best restaurants in downtown Glendora. The food is very oversized and a great portion only downside is a Caesar salad isn't the best but the meat is great. I have the most wonderful dining experience at Frisella's. I was impressed by the menu. I was there for lunch and ordered the fish and chips and a Moscow mule. Fish and chips were cooked perfectly, and the fries were awesome. Moscow mule is probably one the best I've ever had. I definitely want to go back and check out that dinner menu it looks phenomenal. Indoor and outdoor seating is very nice and the staff is super friendly. read more

This is a nice restaurant in the middle of Downtown Glendora. Had reservations at 7pm on a Saturday. Arrived on time and the place was busy. Told the host we had a reservation and she said she'll let us know when our table was ready. We waited for a while and were surprised since we had a reservation. If you will be coming here, just note you'll have to wait about 25 min even w/ reservations. After waiting, we were seated on the outside patio. Now the food: Appetizer sampler - this was a huge platter and had a variety of items such as fried zucchini, fried green beans, chicken tenders, chicken wings, mozzarella sticks etc. everything was good except the chicken wings. The wings were dry and eh. Besides that, I really like how they fried everything else. It wasn't oily like other places but just enough to keep crispy. Irish nachos - pretty much nachos but with fries instead. Midway through our meal, I noticed something was off and realized there was no meat on our nachos.. I second guessed myself because I forgot what I saw on the menu so didn't bother the waitress. While leaving this review, I looked up the menu and indeed the tri tip was missing. No wonder why I was telling my brother we could've skipped this dish. Literally paid $13 for just cheese fries. Boo. 1 pound of tri-tip - probably the worst tri tip I've ever had. It was super dry and sad even with bbq sauce. I wish they had options on how you want your tri tip cooked. We usually eat medium rare but this was way over well done. 1 rack of ribs - the ribs were alright. Nothing special. Cilantro lime chicken salad - the salad and dressing was good but the feta cheese ruined it. The cheese is overpowering and takes over the whole dish. Wish I requested no cheese. Skip the cheese unless you really like feta. I like the vibe of this place but didn't have a great first experience. My sister lives nearby so maybe we'll give the other items a chance. read more

First time in Glendora and we found this cute bbq place. Great atmosphere and good friendly, prompt service. I expected a little more of a beer list, but it was ok. The sweet potato fries were good, as was the Tri-Tip. The baby back ribs were ok, could use a little longer in the smoker for a little more flavor and to fall off the bone. Also a little stingy on the bbq sauce. Why not have bbq sauce bottles on the table? Coleslaw was also reasonable. read more

This place is under new ownership and the food has definitely gone down in quality. Seemed like everything was precooked and reheated. Every item we had was so dry. The BLT was awful, bacon was the consistency of jerky. Tri tip was dry, Bbq pork was dry, Burger was also dry. There was no AC and the place was full of flies and also very dusty with cobwebs all over. We were served by what I'm assuming was the owners children (probably 10 years of age). Unfortunately it was a horrible experience and we will not be back. read more

The hubby and I love walking downtown Glendora to have dinner a few times each month, and we have now given Frisella's 4 chances to show us what they have. And 4 times we have been disappointed. Tried the pork sandwich, the tri tip sandwich, bbq salad and an appetizer. The pork sandwich shows slightly shredded pork with lots of bbq sauce. In reality, it was sliced pork that was overcooked and had little sauce. The beans had a slight fish taste, and I'm sad to say, the server didn't return to check on us until we were done. He didn't pick the check up- we had to bring it in to pay. I'm sad- I really wanted to like this place. read more
