Pretty annoyed. I ordered a Super Big Boy at the drive-thru, and when I got home and took a bite I discovered they'd used SPICY tarter sauce! When did they start this? Execelent service from Kimberly H., she offered drinks to go which is one of my favorites. Richelle and I both got the big boy platters, I got onion rings and she got fries. We also got the breaded mushrooms. I haven't had a big boy since never, so I was happy with it. I was also very happy with the onion rings and mushrooms, actually tasted wonderful with lots of onion and mushroom. If you want a fast food meal in a site down atmosphere go here. My only negative is I got that weird after taste from eating the fried foods then drinking my Coke Zero, I think it has something to do with the oil they use....? read more

Well with Bidenomics it looks like $8.99 is the new $5.00. Frisch's isn't one of my go to restaurants, rather one that I'll go to on the suggestion of friends and family. I went on the recommendation of my childhood friend Danny, as a meal on my Anual Cross Country Roadtrip when I was in Springfield. Heather was our server. She was friendly attentive talkative and listened to our stories. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Tenders with Fries and a cherry coke zero, what I got was a coke zero with a splash of cherry syrup for an additional 49 Cents which ate up half my veterans discount. I appreciated that my fries and tenders reached my table while they were still hot. The wings were just a tad spicy for my personal taste as I've grown older. If I order them again I think I'll request BBQ sauce instead of Buffalo. The ranch dressing help ease the spiciness a bit. My biggest complaint was that the place was freezing inside. My friend had an omelet and seemed to really enjoy it. Not a place I'll visit a lot while I'm in Springfield this trip but I will return next summer. Lorrie the manager was nice too. read more

My granddaughter and I decided to stop here for lunch yesterday before an appointment and I was a little hesitant at first but overall it really wasn't horrible. Lol I guess that's not a glowing review but I went in not expecting it to be a 5 star meal. The building is very old and not updated. We used to hang out here on the weekends when everyone drove a circle through Bushnell square, lol We would order from the speakers in the parking lot and food would be delivered to the car. Usually we met other high schoolers and drove around looking for boys or as we got older, after hanging out at the Ringside Cafe or Saturday's bar. Anyhow, back to the restaurant! So we were seated promptly. It was lunchtime but not a crowd there. Our waitress had to be told by another server we were waiting at the table after several minutes. She claimed she didn't see us- there was only a dozen people there so I'm not sure why, but okay- no big deal. She never wrote anything down we ordered ( although we weren't too complicated. We stayed with the menu items without variations). She looked confused and stammered talking to us , told someone she was really sleepy-I guess that's why we worried she wasn't going to get our order correct. That was partly the lack of the 5th star but the other was the food. It wasn't as good as what I remembered. The fries weren't cooked crispy- mushy would describe it more. I ordered a Big Boy- mainly because I liked the sauce which is like tarter/mayo/relish or whatever it is, but get this- it was in a small cup on my plate! Not even on the burger! That was odd! I'm not sure if that's the norm or our waitress, who looked like she wasn't awake, thought I didn't want it? Weird! The drinks also not too great. My granddaughter said she thought her glass smelled like eggs at first but then said it was ok. So that's pretty much it. Food- mediocre, lukewarm, still it wasn't horrible. I really like their breakfaat and ate it everyday for a long time. However, they have had two price increases recently and I will never eat there again after what they just charged me for a breakfast burrito. Inflation has raised prices 8.6% at the most and a breakfast burrito has almost doubled in price. They showed their greed and I sincerely hope they go out of business for it. read more

I ordered a whitefish basket from this restaurant via doordash. When the order arrived I found they had substituted cod fillers about half the size of the whitefish fillers I had ordered. When I called the restaurant I was told they were out of whitefish. The told me the codfish was more expensivd...but i don't order based on what is more expensive, not what is best. And the codfish fillets...half the size of what I ordered..are not big enough to fill me up. I would never have agreed to the substitution. They should have simply said they weren't able to fill the order and refused if they weren't able to do so rather than forcing me to buy something else and not simply trying to substitute something else for it. I have been a very frequent doordash customer and frankly if I cant trust them to not turn down orders they can't fill and instead foist a substitution on me...with no option for a refund if I don't like the substitution...this is very inconsiderate of the customer. We are all in this covid thing together...but ither options like doirdash require the customer to be able to have faith in the business to do the right thing by its customers as well. read more

Needs some customer service training. I get it. There's a pandemic. But man. Attitude isn't necessary when they mess up. Didn't get order my whole order. Person at the window gave attitude when we tried to address the missing items. I got frustrated and just left with the partial order. Horrible horrible. Was there this evening my 9 year old daughter was eating the baked apples. She spat out what she thought was plastic. Called manager to table, he came back and was happy to tell us it was not plastic but a large fingernail. My daughter and sister ran to bathrooms and vomited their meals up.
