5 for the food. Was delicious. No menu offered. No English spoken. A little expensive, but I did have goat strew with plantains around a mound of black wild rice, so not outrageous for the amount and quality of food. So, I would go back if I were by myself or with someone who was up for spinning the restaurant roulette wheel, but not with anyone who wanted to actually pick anything out. LOL. Or maybe unless they spoke Creole.

This was my first time to try Haitian food. We got the chicken and the fish. They were out of goat. The fish is amazing, the presentation is wonderful. I did not like the slaw, too spicy, it doesn't look like it would be spicy but it is. They were busy, so plan on ordering and waiting 10min for your order to be made. They have a cooler with different Haitian drinks to try too. Plantain are wonderful, I learned to warm up any leftover plantain pieces in the toaster.

I was out exploring and decided to stop by. I recommend the Rice & Bean with Griot (pork) with Pikliz (Spicy Coleslaw). The beef patty was good, but skip the herring one! The manager was friendly and explained the menu. The cafe was nicely decorated with flowers and Haitian flags. Good location on the main road off the Interstate.

I got the fried fish and plantain plate, and my mom got the fried pork and plantains -- we both loved it! The service was fast and our plates came out in less than 20 minutes. Definitely recommend giving this place a try.

For three of us, we ordered 3 meals. But we easily would have had plenty to eat with two meals. The goat stew was excellent--a must order. If you're new to goat, and want a bit less of it, the vegetable stew, which had a goat meat base, was also terrific. And the whole fish meal was huge and tasty, although I think the fish may have previously been frozen. All were accompanied by either white or brown "dirty" rice and fried plantains. Order at either the counter or at the table, for polite service. We heard about this Haitian-style restaurant all the way in California due to the crazies in the news and knew we needed to visit when in Ohio. It was unassuming, simple but pleasant, and a great way to sample Haitian food. Would definitely return.

The owner was really sweet!…read more I explained that I have never had Haitian food before and wanted to try it out and she took her time to explain the menu! When I say the hospitality was top tier! There was a tv with music playing it wasn't too loud neither! One thing I love about small business they really care about their customers! I WILL BE RETURNING! Felt welcomed and was greeted with a smile and conversation! Restaurant was clean and smelled so good! Prices are fairly priced! I go the chicken stew fried pork chops Mac and cheese and mixed veggies also a Haitian soda and it was $63! Food was so delicious! Will update once I get home to try the food but I couldn't help but sit down and write this review while I wait because huni the owner did it for me!!!! COME AND CHECK HER OUT! OMG THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS! I eat the fried pork chops with the Kim chi on top and babyyyyyyyy it didn't disappoint it has a little heat or spice to it! the chicken legs and that orange sauce was sooooo good! Loved both rice and the Mac and cheese was good too now that drink taste like cream soda and it was delicious too! My fience and I are sitting here super full and both can't move! So glad we got a chance to try her restaurant out! WE WILL BE BACK TO TRY SOMETHING NEW and she also gave us the patties to try and we liked the beef patties the best! The chicken was good but that beef patty we wanted more!!!! She is on DoorDash also!!!

I truly enjoyed my experience here. I tried half dozen of the beef patties and I'm regretting not…read moregetting the mixed dozen. This is my first encounter with haitian patties but surely won't be my last. I prefer it compared to their Jamaican counterpart as it's lighter. Just FYI, their spicy beef version is something that she made to order, so you can call first or wait abit for the spicy beef. Owner is very accommodating and kind which is always a plus! There's like 3 or 4 seats but it's mostly takeout operation. If you like spicy, ask for their pickleez (sorry if I'm not spelling it correctly), spicy slaw to dump on ur patties. Great stuff and worth my 30+ minutes drive!
