So after calling to verify that me and my friends would be served breakfast before breakfast hours were over, the server said as long as we arrive before 11AM we will be served. We arrived at 1057 I said yes we just spoke on the phone, you said to get here before 11 and we would be served, she looked at me like I was from another world and said sorry we are serving lunch. After me and my friends rushed to make it on time she casually said nope, sorry no more breakfast. It would have been nice if she said from the beginning your not going to make it. read more

Very friendly nice crew food was good. I would definitely go in for a visit. Even the customer seemed happy that we're all around us. Give it a hometown feeling. We've been looking for a place for breakfast and it was so easy to come in not to have to wait and have a great service. read more

The place was dirty, I ordered the avocado toast and it came out missing three ingredients so I sent it back. And it took 40 minutes to get to the table. I will not ever come here ever again. read more

Great service fun times great food AND memories! Friendly's is truly a friendly environment!

Here I am again, another tire rotation wait and a hungry stomach to feed. Responding to my original review, they are currently not doing breakfast all together (here at least) because of staffing. That's a bummer in my eyes but I will not dwell on that and keep my review about my current sit in. Very friendly waitress, Susan's great attitude greeted everyone who walked through the door with a cheerful hello! I had a vanilla coke which I will only drink at a Friendly's because they make the best. This didn't have that memorable taste I one knew. As small as they are, the clam chowder was still enjoyable. My double bacon cheeseburger I'm happy didn't triple size it. Cooked on sourdough bread, grilled, might've enjoyed it more toasted but was still a very delicious burger. I've always remembered Friendly's of having big portion of french fries, I really didn't need much more than what's on the plate but still would've liked to have had more. My Reesie's sundae was missing it's marshmallow topping, which is what I really wanted on my ice cream altogether. But nonetheless I stuffed every last bite in me. Overall I am happy I came here for lunch. Definitely brought back some memories but deafly would like to see Friendly's as a whole still go back to breakfast, burgers & fries and ice cream. Keep it simple. On a sidenote, I enjoyed coloring! Beats sitting on my phone looking at the same stuff over and over again. read more

Service and food was great. Staff was very helpful and the ice cream is the best. Would recommend coming for a very affordable lunch.

Yummy food. Quick service even though it was crowded. Friendly staff. I'd recommend to friends.

Food was good as usual and service was good too. Seems like much improved from the past!!

Its Friendly's, you know what to expect with the food right?! We stopped on a recent trip out west, we were on the pike and the "Home of Friendlys" sign made me think, SH*T, If its the home - it must be a good one and maybe it doesnt suck like the rest of the Friendly's in the world, NOPE.. I was wrong, It sucked too. I mean it wasnt as horrible as other experiences I have had, but how can you be the First or original or whatever and just truly hire people who could care less about any type of Customer Service?! We got a grilled cheese & fries, and ice cream, and everyone there acted as if they were living a nightmare having to work there. Shouldnt being somewhat friendly (haha, get it?!) at least be part of the job requirement. Food was meh, service was bleh! read more

Service was awesome!! Food was delicious and came out quick. Friendly's in Wilbraham is our favorite.

We just crashed in on this Friendly's with a group of about 25 nieces and nephews. It's been a tradition when I'm back in town. We all got sundaes, ice cream, and some food. They seated us all together in the back of the restaurant right away. The ice cream was great (just as I remember) and service was awesome, with a smile! Thanks for the memories read more

Friendly's - a group of people sitting at a table in a restaurant - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Springfield, Massachusetts

This is by far the most wonderful place to take my two grandchildren!! They just live it, and we always have such an amazing dinner!!

This place use to be a go to especially because of the customer service & food however now, this place is GROSS. We walked in and immediately smelled a horrible stench. The restaurant smelled like dirty mop water, the menus were grimy and unfortunately our waitresses nails & hands were dirty and she smelled really bad. It's sad to see one of my favorite places go down hill. read more

It usually tastes okay but they're unbelievably skimpy on their sundae toppings. Food is usually pretty overcooked and dry

love my Friendly's! Alway get my order right! Glad to still have one close by. Love the peanut butter!

Long wait with lack of communication. Hard to understand the server, but he made up for it because he was nice. Food tasted microwaved and was lukewarm. Utensils were not cleaned and did not match. The cherry on top of experience was the fact that there was a homeless man sitting outside the restaurant asking for money from the leaving customers. Overall not a great experience. Will not be returning to this particular establishment. read more

Horrible. We sat there for a hour waiting.nothing are server was so bad she did not even say anything to us except talk to the 1 other waiter because they were understaff. Never go there you're going to be there for like a hour waiting for drinks and to put in food then 2 hours later comes your food. So when we left she kept talking and when we were going out the door she said fuck you goodbye and rolled her eyes. Just so she knows she lost 3 customers. Great ambiance and everything else was ok. Friendly's - The food on the plates is what looked like the color of the floor - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Springfield, Massachusetts

Had the Cherry Jubilee sundae last night and it was one of the best tasting things I've literally ever had.

I went in for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised with my food quality and the staff was very polite and friendly

Great attitude of staff Easy ordering. I will continue to go to this restaurant I do have other choices read more

every time I place an order with them it's wrong. Paid for extra candy. Didn't get any candy. Asked for it on the side. It was not on the side. They didn't even put sprinkles on my Sunday. read more

Not very clean and staffing issues for sure. Food came out barely warm and the sundae looked like they ran out of ice cream. Unfortunately it's not a place I would ever return to read more

Friendly's - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Springfield, Massachusetts

I used to come here as a kid, the food was good, the icecream looked like someone put more than an ounce of effort into making it presentable, and the ambiance was actually friendly. HOWEVER, in the past few years it's been a train wreck trying to find something edible to eat here. No servers to be found, and when we did flag one down they were anything but friendly. The food wasn't even edible, and I could hear the loud employees working the icecream area talking about how the general manager and the line cooks are constantly high at work. Not even the icecream was good, We ordered a monster sundae and it came with NONE of the toppings, and when we asked for them, our server literally just dumped a handful of candy on our table. Not to mention the fact that there were ants crawling all over the window frames by our booth. Absolutely disgusting place, no one working there has any ounce of happiness in their hearts. read more

Food was overpriced and nothing special. Ice cream has corn syrup as the 3rd ingredient; sugar being the second. Obviously Friendly's is doing well with their large corporate office and semi trucks. Guess that's the ice cream of choice for Massachusetts and surrounding areas. I never ordered anything, just let others in the group order and fill their bodies with garbage. I love history and thought it was great that Friendly's has been around for so long. The recipe must have changed over time because real ice cream only has cream, milk as the first 2 ingredients and definitely no corn syrup. No thank you. I would NEVER order anything from Friendly's. read more

Oh boy where do I start? Order two milkshakes/ fribbles curbside. After nearly 30 minute of waiting, I went in to check. The staff member was just finishing up the first fribble. I was never greeted and watched her make the second fribble. After over 5 minutes without acknowledgment, I spoke up and said I was the curbside order. She would have forgotten the whipped cream and cherries had I not mentioned it. As it was she forgot the additional add-ones on my fribble. The store itself was devoid of patrons so why did it take so long. My issues- no acknowledgment from staff, the incorrect order, and the overall vibe of the staff- no one smiled, all looked very unhappy to be there. The restaurant itself had the dated/tired Friendly's red and white decor. Nothing about the place was welcoming. And the fribbles were mediocre at best. I am all for supporting local businesses but I will likely not visit Friendly's again or in good conscience recommend. 6/21 UPDATE: Shortly after this post, I received an email from a Friendly's manager apologizing for our experience at this particular store and provided a discount voucher to give them another try. Unfortunately that is not likely to happen, but I do appreciate management taking customer service / satisfaction seriously. read more

Awesome meal. Broccoli cheddar soup was creamy and delicious. The 100,000 salad was great a huge portion! And the new pretzel ice cream was tasty sweet and salty same time! The waitress was very sweet she went out of her way to make sure our every need was met! And food was delivered fast! read more

food was really bad and serve was cold not friendly at all. over all bad experience . I am afraid the food might give me a upset stomach

I ordered 4 Sundaes on line and they got all 4 wrong!!If u call no one answers the phone. So done

This is the worst Friendly's I've ever been to. One minute the person is working at the ice cream stand. The next minute he's back there cooking food did not even make the announcement that he was not going be able to make my Sunday. I don't see anybody washing your hands this is very poor service and very poor customer service as well read more

Stopped in this afternoon to this location, right next door to their corporate headquarters. Great restaurant, inside and out. They adorn their walls with historic photos printed onto the wall surface. Nice layout inside as well. Tables, booths and counter service are all available. Please wait to be seated. I had an ice cream sundae, two scoops. Great diversion in the mid-afternoon. I recommend. read more

I ordered after dinner milkshakes and a sundae from this place. I chose curbside. Big mistake!!! Huge!!! I get there open my email and press the red button I am here and wait..and wait...and wait. Finally I go in. My ice cream is waiting in the freezer. No one is bring it out. There I'm here doesn't work! How is the customer supposed to know that!!! We came to this Friendly's with a large party but were treated with nothing but amazing service. A wonderful place to take the family!!

Great place for a quick nosh. Ice cream sundae was really good. Their customer service was pleasant. Not sure why so many people write negative reviews. Small town mentality perhaps? Maybe salty personal relationships with current employees? read more

How do you have a 2.2 star review on Yelp and continue to offer poor customer service? I ordered lunch for a client of mine today for me to pick up... It was for seven people so not overly large and there may have been two or three tables taken in the restaurant at the time so not busy and you could look into the kitchen and see that that was not being strained for takeout as the 4-5 people working were not occupied. Both the chef and whoever packed the order missed one of the $15 munchy manias of the four that I ordered. It was on the receipt so how does that happen? Especially when you're sporting a 2.2 stars. Whoever is in charge over there doesn't seem to have protocols in place to change the narrative. Receipt should be checked off as the order is being cooked and then again as the order is packed... Pretty simple process. The food was good but I did not enjoy the extra 35 minutes of driving and a customer without a meal. When I went back to the restaurant, the girl simply apologized. I was expecting her to offer to comp the meal or offer some free coupons for Sundays or something like that...NOTHING! I'm a reasonable person when it comes to the service industry as I deal with them all the time. I wasn't gonna yell at anybody or anything like that but when she simply apologized without offering any real customer service, I simply stated "yeah... Not sure how both the cook and the person packing missed something on the receipt but you may want to look into that" and I left. read more

Wow, just wow. Will not go again. Plates we're dirty and tables were dirty. Waitress forgot we were there several times. Received our food before our drinks and silverware. Food took forever. When we received the food 2/3 we're not right. Our burgers had no toping. Asked for toppings, took 15 min. No sauce, asked for the sauce and it never came. The burgers were cold by the time we got the toppings. I had to go get it. The manager came over and apologized for the bad service. The waitress came over twice to apologize and blamed the back. Then we waited for the check forever. Friendlys has gone down hill. So sad because it's a Western MA icon. Also, whoever they hired to re brand needs to be fired. It looks clinical in there. Not welcoming like it use to. read more

Poor service, dirty tables and utensils, cold food due to the wait. This places is severely lacking in good management.
