    the outside of a restaurant

Here's the scoop. This place is awesome. They have just about everything and all kinds of options including hard ice cream, soft serve, milk shakes, flurries, sundaes, smoothies, and a bunch of toppings. The prices are really good and the service is friendly. The parking is limited, but clears out quick. They also have outdoor seating. Nice change from all the frozen yogurt shops. Only complaint is there is no AC in the customer waiting area, and it gets really hot in there.

They hired my son who has a disability. They told him how great he was and told him he'd be working…read moreweekly. I was told by the manager that he was too overweight to work inside the cafe (I'm writing it nicely) . So he would only work outside events. The manager apologized in a text (I have the text) and said yes he could work in the cafe. She never gave him any more hours after 2 shifts for outdoor events. I was told how much they loved him there and loved his personality and enthusiasm. She even told him he had a special title, "special event coordinator."after weeks of no schedule and no response from the manager, He contacted the owner and was told he would get a follow up call. He never got one. I left a message last week on here and whomever manages the fb page told me Steve would follow up. (The person managing the FB page refused to tell me who they were When I asked ) My son holds a few different jobs and is also a college student. He's on the autism spectrum. I thought this place would be a great support to the autism community and those with disabilities. I'm disappointed that they didn't care enough to make this right for my son, left him hanging with no response, no apologies, no resolution when he did NOTHING wrong. My son again followed up with the restaurant, and was told by someone named Colin, who identified himself as the manager, that Steve was in the restaurant, but not able to talk at the moment. He said that Steve would give my son a call back. It's a week later and he never heard anything back. Since that time, my son has started another job at a local country club. Although he has no use for this job at the depot now, it's very clear that they discriminated against his disability, and they couldn't even have the decency to return his call. Also, They blocked me from their Facebook page because they didn't want me leaving any further reviews or comments on their business. If they have done nothing wrong, then they would have no problem whatsoever returning my sons phone call. I hope the autism community remembers this when they go to patronize this business. It's very attractive for those on the spectrum who have interest in trains. But Depot has no use for anyone on the spectrum to be working in that business. Also, if you're overweight, they definitely don't want you working in the café.. Steve I hope you remember this experience. I also hope you know that I have a lot of contacts in the AUTISM community and I will discourage anyone I know from going and patronizing your business. It is very disappointing that someone of Steve's status could not be bothered to treat my son with any respect or decency, and at least talk to him and return a phone call. Clearly he had something to hide.
