Rich, creamy, smooth, full of flavors, pretty much perfect. And their pricing is pretty good -two small dishes (peanut banana and Mexican chocolate) were just $4.50 each. And of course, a "small" dish is far from small, they were close to two scoops each. I really enjoyed the Mexican Chocolate. It had a "spicy" warning on it, which was merited because the ice cream had a slight cayenne after bite to it that was a great combination with the icy cold chocolate and cinnamon tastes. Northside has a very large flavor menu with close to 40 regular flavors, ten seasonal flavors, eight soft serves, shakes, floats, coolers, sundaes, and more, even a doggie dish. They have a nice seating area with picnic tables and benches, and a few photo ops for the little darlings in your party. The only drawback was their small parking lot where an inconsiderate clod thought his desire for ice cream outweighed my ability to back out of my parking spot. He could have parked right next door where a neighboring business was closed on Sunday and walked over, like half a dozen other customers did. Parking 3-5 Only 10-12 available spots for parking but when I have shown up the two times I've visited I've been able to get in and enjoy the ice cream. Service 5-5 I don't know how to spell the new co-owners name but it starts with a P. So I'll call her Mrs. P. She's a very nice and makes you feel at home. The service is great they take you right away and there's always 4 people inside and your orders get taken care of quickly and promptly. Overall 5 I've been this year for the summer twice now and it's a nice little location to get milkshakes, sundaes, soft serves. More than 15 options of hard and soft ice cream flavors to choose from. Slow service, rude workers and overpriced ice cream make for a bad experience. Truthfully trying to get ice cream from north side is more of a chore than it's worth. They have a sign with prices for sundaes. When I asked how many toppings come with the sundae as listed the response I received is "how many do you want to pay for!" When I asked again what came with the sundae for the price listed I expected something like "a topping, whipped cream, cherry, etc. but again rudely was told "whatever you want to pay for" and then no follow up. Definitely rude. Trying to spend $40 on ice cream and the person working couldn't be at all polite. Try Sheldon's down the road in Southampton or really anywhere else. They seem to be very disorganized and the last 3 times I was there they recommended not getting soft serve in a cone but in a cup because it's hot out. Maybe work on the refrigeration. I prefer in a cone not a cup read more

I came here multiple times over the past few years and was always greeted with lovely service. The girls behind the counter were always super patient and kind. Although expensive, the ice cream is quite worth it. My personal favorites would probably have to be the chocolate almond fluff and banana foster. I never failed to get good food and great service. On hotter days there didn't seem to be any kind of air conditioning, when they would open the window and a gust of hot air would blow out. Especially for an ice cream shop it should be cold or atleast cool inside the building for both the ice cream and the employees sake. I hope for the upcoming season these kids get some real air conditioning because they really need it. read more

Aside from the hard ice cream they also offer homemade slush, soft serve ice cream, sundaes and floats. The flavors board has over 20 different choices which change frequently, and the folks behind the counter will gladly give you a small sample just in case you have no clue what "Black Squirrel" ice cream tastes like. I was surprised to see a line of people waiting patiently for a cone, or a cup, or a sundae, and so I stood there while listening to all the kids talking about what flavors turn their tongues different colors. I kept it simple and asked for a cup with two scoops - one of Mint Chocolate Chip, and the other of Peppermint Stick. After that I sat on one of the nearby picnic tables and enjoyed my ice cream while watching all of the families pull in and line up for ice cream. YUM!!! this store has really gone downhill. I used to be a loyal customer, but the last few times I have been here have been awful. The staff is still lovely, but the prices have skyrocketed and the quality has gone down. The last three times I visited my ice cream was full of chunks of ice, and my favorite flavor (salted caramel swirl) does not have any caramel in it anymore! If you used to like it here, beware. Worst service tonite!!! 3 windows open and only 1 person taking orders. The line was 7+deep. The guy working was too busy counting the $$ in the tip cans located outside the window. When I went to the Northside Creamery it was the best ice cream ever. The food was great and the service was even better. My father and I were waiting for the day it was open. When it finally came I wanted to be the first customer. When I went the atmosphere was great. The building is more like a shack but you can get fresh air and if you don't want to leave then there are picnic tables that are available to sit at and enjoy your ice cream. I have been there many times since and never had a bad experience. They mostly sell ice cream but they do sell hot dogs and cheeseburgers. The wait is almost no time unless the lines are long but they are organized and know how to run their business. The food is always good the ice cream I got was the small sized cake batter in a dish. The first bite is always the best because you are so excited to get that creamy unforgettable taste in your mouth. The taste is just like what it is called. The serving sizes are perfect and the servers are always so nice. The ice cream for about four people are somewhere around $10 and it is defiantly worth it. The way the serve food is very simple but it works, the server will take the order and will be the one to scoop the ice cream then give you the ice cream. The best part is that you can watch the server make the ice cream the entire time. I can never drive by without stopping and the parking is always so easy. The workers park in the back as to make sure not to take space away from the customers. All the workers all seem to love working there and will always be in the mood to make a joke.
