"Your love is better than ice cream Better than anything…read moreelse that I've tried" (Sara McLachlan) Driving home on Route Ten from Northampton, we stopped at Sheldon's for some excellent homemade ice cream. They have an interesting place-from the parking lot it just looks like a storefront ordering window with an outdoor patio, But, inside they have a second ordering counter, a huge dining room, and a wraparound deck overlooking the Manhan River -really quite lovely. We ordered two cones - my wife had an Almond Joy and I went with a Mint Oreo. My cone was very good, plenty of mint flavor without being overpowering, and plenty of Oreo pieces hiding inside. I went with a kiddie size, which is actually one scoop, and it was plenty to satisfy my craving on a hot day.

The two employees were helpful and polite and we sampled a few of the more unusual flavors before deciding on our ice cream choices. I sampled the Brown Sugar Bourbon & Pecan and it was so delicious that I went with a combination of that and chocolate chip cookie dough in a house-made waffle cone. It was all so good - especially loved the house-made waffle cone. It was one of the best I've had - thick, crunchy, and delicious. Best of all, icecream didn't drip out the bottom of the cone as has happened to me with house made cones in other places. Prices were reasonable and Batch is located in a really nice shopping plaza with plenty of parking. We'll be back!
